The hotel is clean and smell really good. The room is spaciou and bed is good. We have good night rest. Shower pressure is good and bathroom size is just nice. The only complaint we have is the shower glass panels is too small and this cause the water splash out. room is well equipped with all emenities. They even provide red wine glasses, and plates in the rooms. What surprise me is they have a big cabinet that is with combination lock. This is a very good facility for whoever have big bag to keep safe.

This hotel just opened two months ago, right by the sea near Portuguese Settlement. I didn't have high expectations initially, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is backed by the ocean, and there's a clean, beautiful pool right in the courtyard. The breakfast was rich and clean – especially the bread, which clearly wasn't pre-made, and the fruit was super fresh. It felt much more genuine than some of the five-star hotels in downtown Kuala Lumpur! Even at 9 or 10 PM, you could still order food from the hotel restaurant, and the quality here was genuinely high compared to outside options. This morning, the hotel even had a lion dance performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. The hotel manager really pays attention to service details, which is absolutely essential for a great hotel. Having a fresh, high-quality breakfast in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, and you can even swim in the pool after coming back at night. A Grab taxi to Jonker Street is only about 8-10 RM away.
It's very quiet at night, with a gentle sea breeze and the pool. It reminded us of beautiful places we'd traveled to before and even brought back memories of my partner's hometown. Because of this, we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Highly recommend everyone to stay here! (The only minor thing to note is that the air conditioning in the rooms can be a bit noisy. Hopefully, they can improve this. It gets quite warm at night, so you need the AC, and it would be great if it didn't blow directly on you.)
1) The room cleanliness and linens were excellent; the towels were tumble-dried, and the sheets were neatly ironed.
2) The staff were warm and friendly.
3) The environment was outstanding, quiet, and beautiful.
4) The breakfast was exquisite and clean. The chicken sausage was the only one with a normal texture among the seven or eight hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia. The à la carte restaurant didn't disappoint either; you could tell the watermelon juice was fresh (many places serve overnight juice).
Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made our vacation wonderful. If we ever return to Malacca, The Lisbon Malacca will definitely be our top choice.

Clean and hygienic, with excellent service. They even have a Chinese-speaking front desk, which was a huge help for someone like me with limited English. It's super convenient for getting around; both the bus and subway are just a few minutes away. Plus, all the amenities are really handy.
The location is good enough for you to drop off for a rest between KL and JB. The hotel is quite ok for its facilities. The swimming pool is ok and there are two different water slides for kids and toddlers. But the surrounding mosaic of the swimming pool needs to pay extra carefully when walking along since it is wet. The ambience is good, when u open up your room door, fresh air with green scenery. Found a small cockroach when we checked in the room, but I killed it. No worry. The breakfast is provided in a wide variety of selection from noodles, nasi lemak, cereal, till indian food. Taste normal but can meet the majority's demand. The breakfast has a long queue but the hotel already made good arrangements in opening up in their grand ballroom. So not too packed and everyone queues in a good manner. Will be here again for my kids since they love to play water.

The room decor was very thoughtfully done, with many small ornaments and board games, making it perfect for family travel. The living facilities are complete, with a fridge and induction cooktop, so you can buy seafood from the market and cook it yourself. The room has a great view; you can see the city at night and the sea during the day. The host was very enthusiastic, and the location is excellent, close to supermarkets, restaurants, and the pier.
I booked 2 rooms signature king. It was then upgraded to 2 bedroom suites. This is like apartment style room.. Master bedroom has en suite bathroom with bath tub. The second bathroom is outside, next to 2nd bedroom. Both bedroom relatively small. Living hall equiped with TV, sofa and has dining table as well. There is small kitchen with mini stove and kitchenette. Unfortunately we was assigned a room with faulty aircond in the living hall, however the team work very efficiency to organised maintenance team to fixed it and when it was failed, we was assigned to a new room immediately. The breakfast spread is good. My daughter loves the kids playgrounds and kids club.

We checked in quite late and the staff at the desk very helpful with the check-in process but my sister was offered a rm30 breakfast buffet while they didnt offered me and that was quite a bummer. we tried asking them about the breakfast the next day and said that it was rm45 while my sister got it for rm30. thats the only downside but the room was all good

The bellboy was super nice; he helped me call a taxi and even explained to the driver where I could get cash. The room was very comfortable, as expected from Hilton. The only downside was that I booked this hotel because the pictures showed a direct sea view. However, all I could see was a sliver of the sea between two buildings. There was another building between the hotel and the sea, which made me feel quite disappointed, like that old saying 'if you have Zhou Yu, why bother with Zhuge Liang?'. Overall, I'm still very satisfied with this hotel; the restaurant food was delicious too. And most importantly, staying at this hotel in Malacca really made me feel safe.

IIbuYus2We previously visited in 2023 as a couple. The breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The hotel service was excellent as well. This year, we returned again with our two children, and it was totally worth it. Highly recommended

JJingguliangStaying at Holiday Inn Malacca's sea-view room and falling asleep to the sight of the Malacca Strait was my biggest wish for this trip, and I'm so grateful I finally got to experience my dream Malacca! Malacca's old town is quite small, and every day we took taxis to get around the same few streets. We also visited Ole-Ole Malacca, which is close to the hotel, and the market in front of Dataran Pahlawan. Every day we'd wake up naturally, enjoy the hotel breakfast, and then head out to explore. We tried coconut durian chicken rice and Nyonya cuisine. If we bought something in between, we'd just take a taxi back to the hotel to drop it off before going out again – it was simply delightful! The hotel is actually very close to the Straits Mosque; you can see it from the room, and it's just a ten-minute taxi ride away. The Red Square and Jonker Street are also within walking distance, but it's definitely more convenient to take a taxi if you're with elderly people or children!
We specifically chose to spend Chinese New Year's Eve with my parents in Malacca, and it truly was an unforgettable New Year! The Year of the Horse in Malacca – what an incredible serendipity! We watched the fireworks in Malacca on New Year's Eve, and on New Year's Day, we saw the hotel's high-pole lion dance. We even received a red envelope (lai see) and good wishes for prosperity from the hotel. Thank you, I've kept them as treasures! Malacca is indeed small, but I genuinely felt so much joy here! I will miss you, and thank you, Holiday Inn Malacca, for giving my parents and me such an unforgettable and joyful New Year.
