5-Star Hotels in Melaka State, Malaysia

Our second stop in Malaysia was The Majestic Malacca, and I was absolutely captivated by its vintage charm. The decor in the lobby, courtyard, and even the rooms was incredibly photogenic. It's a historic building itself, and the overall design, furnishings, and soft decor perfectly matched my aesthetic – I was so pleased! The hotel service was excellent, embodying the attentive spirit of British butler service. The staff were also very warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was of exceptionally high quality. All in all, I absolutely loved this hotel. The only minor drawback was the soundproofing, which isn't ideal and might bother light sleepers. However, compared to the beauty of the property and the outstanding service, it's a minor detail I can easily overlook.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to a shopping mall, making it very convenient to get to various attractions. The environment is also great; the lobby is spacious and bright, with a lounge area for guests waiting to check in. The front desk staff was very kind; I wasn't feeling well and wanted to check in about half an hour early to rest, and they communicated and assisted me wonderfully. The cleanliness of the room and public areas like the hallway was good. However, it was quite shocking to open the door after returning from sightseeing and see a cockroach on the wall. It was quite late, so I didn't bother the hotel staff and ended up sleeping restlessly all night. They really need to pay more attention to pest control! >_<

First of all, the cleaniess and breakfast and facilites are none to blame for. (My picture is a useless picture) However I think this hotel is a huge草台班子!!!😂 PLEASE consider my comments and advice: 1.The public toilet on 7th floor and other floors do nlt have English sign, which made me wrongly entered women's toilet, for god sake there was nobody, otherwise I ould have been a lawsuit with u guys!!! Pls, be really serious with this matter, not everyone can understand Malay or the ”man and women picture”, Cant u put English sign? It will be a really serious law issue if some men enter the women toilet! 7楼和其他楼层的公共厕所没有英文标识，仅仅马来文和图片，我进错了女厕所，幸好当时女厕所没有人，不然可能我就要和你们进行巨量拉扯法律诉讼了。请重视这一点，万一以后有男人进了女厕所发生法律纠纷呢?! 2. The cleaners are so ”robotic”,they make everything as same position as when I checked in. However, once after bath I was naked and didnt realize they opened the curtain again. You should thank god that nobody calls the police and ounish u in money!!! Pls be smarter and dont always open the curtain, move the sofa, move the hair dryer and tight it, and even change the airconsditioner temperature to original, etc. 清洁人员太机器人了，把房间一切恢复原样，但是我有一洗完澡次赤身裸体忘了窗帘又被拉开了。你的感谢上帝没有人报警不然你们就等着巨额罚单吧。请聪明一点，能不能不要每次都拉开窗帘，吹风机恢复原样还要捆好，甚至空调还要改成初始温度 3.The breakfast, dont have teh tarik for several days, though i believe its due to festival, but teh tarik didnt return on the first day after festival. And it is no need to translate Lasi Lemak and Teh Tarik into English. 早餐有好几天没有拉茶，尽管我相信是因为节日，但是节日后的第一天也没看到拉茶。并且椰浆饭和拉茶没有必要翻译成英语。 . .

A good pleasant Hotel,with friendly helpfull staff from Front Desk to Room service , to Kitchen staff. Room with balcony with Garden pool view with a balcony Fan.Room are comfortable with nice setting.. Fridge n Drinking water with coffe n tea a available in room Able to provide goid information as requested. Good swimming pool for Adults n Kids. Travel was attending a Prayer Function at GS Melaka 54th remembrance prayers .Distance to travel to GS about 10 minits by car.Grab available. Ample parking space . Nearby Hotel many shops for Breakfast if Breakfast not included in stay.including Stall n shops for lunch Tea , Dinner n Happy Hours

Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel’s facilities and family-friendly environment. However, I would not recommend staying during peak season due to the long waiting time for room allocation. Although check-in was at 3:30 PM, we only received our room between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. While guests were allowed to enjoy the facilities and complimentary light refreshments while waiting, the delay was challenging, especially for young children who were already tired after travelling. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was below expectations. It appeared that housekeeping was rushing to prepare rooms. There was visible dust and small pieces of rubbish on the floor, the shower gel bottle was completely empty and had not been refilled, and the balcony had not been swept. Most concerning was finding a Charlie ant near the curtain. That said, I would like to compliment the hotel manager for the prompt response when we requested additional bottled drinking water. The service recovery was appreciated. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was delicious. Parking was convenient, and the facilities were excellent, making the hotel highly suitable for families with young children. In conclusion, the housekeeping standards and room waiting time require significant improvement. However, the food, parking, and facilities were excellent. The location is slightly outside Malacca city centre, with most tourist attractions approximately 15–20 minutes away by car.

This hotel absolutely deserves a full five-star rating for its location, service, and ambiance! Upon arrival, the front desk thoughtfully offered a smoothie and a cold towel, instantly refreshing us from the scorching travel heat. After check-in, a staff member personally escorted us to our room, and we even received meticulous turndown service in the evening – a truly excellent experience. The location is also impeccable. Directly across the river is the famous Dutch Square (Red Square), and it's only about a 200-meter walk to Jonker Street and the night market, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. What surprised me the most was discovering, while looking through old photos, that I had unknowingly captured this hotel in a picture way back in 2012 when I first visited Malacca. To reunite with it years later as a guest feels like a rare and wonderful serendipitous encounter. Highly recommended!

Our family of four from Singapore recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka during the Vesak Day long weekend for a short getaway, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel has a beautiful ambiance that immediately makes guests feel welcomed and relaxed. Check-in and check-out were exceptionally efficient, allowing us to maximise our holiday time. What truly stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team. Every staff member we encountered was approachable, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, with plenty of dining, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The swimming pool, fitness centre, and sauna were all well-maintained and provided a great way to relax after a day of exploring Melaka. We particularly appreciated how the team regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. It is this level of personalised service that sets the hotel apart. As parents travelling with teenagers, we were pleasantly surprised to find warm food available late at night when our children got hungry. This was an unexpected but greatly appreciated touch. Considering the quality of the facilities, service, and overall experience, the hotel offers excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return on our next visit to Melaka. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Melaka.

We came for a 2 night stay at Dusit Princess Melaka to compare the hotel standard with the building past occupant being Ramada Renaissance.  Dusit Princess Melaka had certainly improved much on the grandeur of the hotel building.  Its welcome perk was a 50MYR food voucher to spend at its eateries and valid only for the day of issue.  Eating at the cafe and Long Feng Chinese restaurant were equally pleasant.  The food menu choice and cooking at Long Feng were excellent but somewhat pricey.  This hotel location would be comfortable for persons familiar with the old town of Melaka.  Room was spacious, bright, neat and clean.  The elevator worked well and fast  enough and would need the room card to access on going up.

The room decor was very thoughtfully done, with many small ornaments and board games, making it perfect for family travel. The living facilities are complete, with a fridge and induction cooktop, so you can buy seafood from the market and cook it yourself. The room has a great view; you can see the city at night and the sea during the day. The host was very enthusiastic, and the location is excellent, close to supermarkets, restaurants, and the pier.

Had a wonderful stay at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it a great choice for both families and leisure travellers. A special mention goes to Roger, who was exceptionally helpful during our stay. He was friendly, attentive, and went the extra mile to assist with our requests, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The facilities were well-maintained, the rooms were spacious, and the overall service was excellent. Thank you to the team for the pleasant experience. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Melaka!
