Awesome, beautiful location but hotel looking alittle tired. Needing refurbished in some areas. Breakfast average and bar very expensive.Staff friendly.
The rate of one night and breakfast for two reasonable but we booked the hotel for its location.
A good stay at this Nairn hotel. It was further from Inverness than we expected but that was no big problem as Nairn is such a nice little town to explore so the hotel ended up being perfect. Clean, good service and with a welcoming smile from a great reception desk. It is a bit creaky but once everyone had settled down I had a decent sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you.
On the northern route of NC500
If you go in the clockwise direction, you can rest without going in Thurso.
Dinner is best booked in advance.
Because they only have fixed-time dinner options.
I stay in this hotel once or twice a year. Its location is pretty good in relation to the centre of Inverness. Staff are always good and I look forward to the breakfast when I stay there.
Use of the pool and spa area is a nice bonus when staying there.
The room is even cleaner than the basic rooms in many British cities. The heating is sufficient. There is an old man at the front desk who is very nice. The breakfast is delicious, the scenery is beautiful, and there are shuttle buses to the upper and lower rooms. It is a destination resort hotel worth visiting. The service of the entire restaurant + front desk + bar is very good, and they can provide friendly smiles and make guests feel at home.
The only drawback is that the room cleaning is very bad. We stayed for two consecutive days, but all the garbage in the room was not collected on the first day, and the neck pillow we brought with us was thrown on the ground. The bad experience caused us to cancel the dinner in the hotel at night. Also, remember to bring slippers! ! There are no slippers for sale in the hotel or the entire Sky Island

This hotel is very good in other aspects. It is considered very good in the small town of Inverness. The only thing is that the charges are a bit chaotic. They overcharged us twice. The first time: we were charged 23 pounds more for dining in the hotel restaurant (see the picture bill). The waiter refused to admit it at first, but later he took it back with the help of a friend. The second time: when we checked out, they said it was no problem, but the next day, 5 pounds were deducted without a card. We communicated through Ctrip, and they replied that we had access to the hotel's high-speed network. Ctrip asked if we brought a laptop? We are all retired and don't carry heavy computers. The hotel's Wify is free. Later, Ctrip gave us 50 RMB in compensation. Ctrip is still very responsible. In short, friends who go to this hotel need to pay more attention when spending.

GGuest UserThe hotel is definitely not a 4 star. Top range 3 star at best. The room was clean. It was advertised as a king sized bed, however putting 2 single beds together is very misleading.
The Italian restaurant, the staff are nice but the service is very very slow. Took me an hour to get food. The location is ideal. The sports centre is good and spacious. The pool is good fun. The gym needs a complete modernisation program. Not enough equipment and in a very small room. The sports centre could utiltse space more effectively and have a state of the art gym in the other bigger rooms. It would be used well, however this is sadly not the case. I will return and use this hotel in the future. The price is not cheep and if your expecting Hilton quality then this is not the hotel for you.
GGuest UserStayed a night at The Glencoe Inn and had a pleasant experience. Dinner on arrival was the highlight — the lady host was super chirpy and incredibly personable, bringing a bright, happy energy that made the evening feel special.
Breakfast the next morning was hosted by a gentleman with a great sense of humour, adding a light and cheerful start to the day.
The room was clean and well-kept, with excellent in-room shower amenities — the shampoo and soap smelled fantastic, and a proper hot shower melted away all the fatigue.
Only downside: the walls are quite thin, so footsteps and neighbouring sounds were noticeable at times. Not a dealbreaker, but worth being aware.
Overall, friendly people, thoughtful touches, and a cosy Highland atmosphere. Would happily return.
GGuest UserEvening event dinner was at best poor. Starter which should have been hot was cold, main course just warm, the desert had run out by the time our table was served.
The hotel toilets were in need of an attendant checking regularly .
We ended up laughing about it with references to faulty towers.
However our room was beautiful, clean, well presented, the bed was very comfortable. We had a great night sleep.
At breckfast the arm of my chair was loose and lifted up when I would go to move my chair in/out from the table. When I was looking around the continental breckfast counter I could hear a male member of the kitchen staff shouting and swearing using the F word, not at all what I expected from any Hotel.
Lasting impression I would not rush back.
KkellandjDo NOT accept a room facing union street ie main entrance. There are nightclubs and fast food places. The noise until 0300 is unbelievable. Especially friday and saturday. Go riverside ONLY

AAnonymous UserWhen I got to the hotel, I was asked to pay a little bit more than what was advised by trip.com, but every penny was worth it!
Location is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room was absolutely fantastic, and the full Scottish breakfast was generous and tasty. The only disappointment was I couldn't get a bath because the bathtub obturating plug didn't work properly. However, the overall experience was good. Thank you!
ТТарасIt was a very nice trip, I highly recommend catch a bus 302 and travel to Loch Ness also Dunrobin Castle+2 hours on the train but It's will be nice.
About the hotel, breakfast was nice but the same, clean staff very friendly, interesting tonic water with watermelon, lime and mint, American Pool and Gym was nice.
BBushichengeWe went all the way north to Inverness. This small town was very quiet at night. When we arrived at 9 o'clock, there were no pedestrians on the main road.
The hotel is quite nice, like a small castle, the internal hygiene is very good, the rooms are large, the facilities are a bit old, and there is no USB plug-in excuse, but it doesn't matter if you bring your own adapter.
The hotel bar has a great atmosphere and the bartender is a handsome guy who can speak some Chinese hahaha ^_^
