Great
LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as I’m an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city — most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) — I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices. The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated — the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the city’s history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day. The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories I’d carry with me from this trip. Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. She’s super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work! Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didn’t eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if that’s something you like then you’d be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes. The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (I’m petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe they’re scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so it’d be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.

AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.

GGuest UserThe location is super convenient, right across from the train station, which is a huge plus if you have luggage. There are also plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making everything very accessible. They even offer luggage storage, which is a great bonus. Overall, it's a fantastic place and highly recommended!

GGuest UserWhat a fabulous hotel perfectly located a block from the Grand Canal and close to both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square.  The receptionists are outstanding and answered all of our many questions with comprehensive answers, patience and respect. Can’t rave enough about them.  The rooms are even prettier than indicated on line, with plush bedding, a large bathroom and plenty of space. Breakfast was convenient and offered a large variety of choices. Service was also exceptional. Without question - you will enjoy this full service hotel. As a bonus, there is also an elevator so you don’t have to lug your suitcase up the stairs.

てぅI was looking for a hotel around Mestre because it's more cost-effective than staying on the main island of Venice, and I'm so glad I did! They let me check in early even though I arrived in the morning, which was a huge help. The room was clean and the amenities were more than sufficient.

DDmitrii L.Great breakfast with an abundance of dishes, both sweet and savory. A spacious room with a tea pot with tea and coffee, a fridge, an enormous bed, an optimally functioning shower - it had everything a modest person like me could have needed. Thanks a lot.

GGuest UserThe room isn't big, but it's very clean. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. The bus stop right outside is really convenient for getting to the main island, and there are lots of Chinese restaurants nearby. My only minor complaint is that it's still quite cold, and the heated towel rail was turned off.

DDaping302This hotel offers good value for money for guests visiting Verona. It's conveniently located, about an 8-minute walk straight after turning right from the train station exit, then another 7 minutes straight after turning right again (totaling around 15 minutes). You can reach the old town arena in about 25 minutes on foot, so most interesting places are within walking distance. The staff are friendly; I found the room a bit cool at night, and housekeeping promptly brought an extra blanket when I called. Breakfast is Italian style, with a good variety and tasty options. The hotel's decor retains its 1970s charm and is well-maintained. While some room facilities are a bit dated, particularly the electrical switches, you can see what was considered state-of-the-art in the '70s. My only regret is that the shower is over a narrow and steep bathtub. I was concerned about slipping, especially for older guests, and there were no grab bars on the wall, so I largely avoided using it.

DDaCeI highly recommend this hotel! It's incredibly close to the train station – literally a 5-minute walk. You don't have to cross any bridges or lug your bags around (apart from the station steps themselves). We booked a river view room and the scenery was lovely; I took photos of the view from the window, and it had a different charm both at night and in the morning. You can even soak up the sun while lying in bed! The room was very functional and had everything we needed. The breakfast area also had a great view, and the breakfast itself was decent for Italy, though our Hunan palates aren't quite used to it. The lady at the front desk was so incredibly nice! This trip was a bit rushed, and we only stayed one day, but if I ever come back to Venice, I'll definitely choose this hotel again.

TTDorisThe shuttle boat we booked with the hotel cost 22 euros per person and took us directly to the hotel entrance, which was a great experience. It was perfect for enjoying the beautiful scenery of Venice without anyone else around. You can also take a bus directly to the entrance. I didn't visit the Glass Island last time, so I wanted to explore it this time. The hotel is right outside the scenic area, so it was a great place to wander around. The bus from the entrance goes directly to the main island, which is quite convenient, but you still have to walk a bit to the boat station. The room was average, not very clean, and the view from the window was lacking, so choose carefully if you mind. I stayed at a five-star hotel in San Marco on the main island last time and was dissatisfied because it was too old. I wonder if Venice is just like that. The beautiful weather and the beauty of Venice these days may make up for some of these shortcomings.
