The environment: The room was surprisingly spacious, exceeding my expectations. There's a 24-hour convenience store right downstairs, and you can use your room key to enter and exit. It's also very close to the train station.
Facilities: The facilities were great. They even provided free hydrating facial masks and toiletries, making it the only hotel on my trip to Japan that offered masks.
Service: Breakfast was quite varied, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a view directly across from Morioka Station, so you could enjoy the scenery while eating. Guests staying on certain floors also had access to afternoon tea, with cakes, nuts, and drinks, and could enjoy the night view in the evening!
Overall, I felt it was excellent value for money!

juLiaNa sImStunning location! Walked into the lobby and was floored by panoramic views of the cape.
The hotel isn't modern or new, but it's well-maintained. Stayed in the tatami room and it's extremely spacious.
Opt for the dinner buffet as there aren't lots of dining options unless you drive. Breakfast was full of Western and Japanese options. Oiishi!

Perfect, I can only say perfect! It's affordable and excellent. These small, beautiful ski resorts in Japan are truly hidden gems. Their facilities are very well-maintained, and they offer shuttle services to Shimokura, Appi, and the train station. You can even get discounted Appi ski tickets if you buy them at the hotel. I can't praise this place enough!

Guest UserThe location is pretty good; while not super close to the station, it's still within easy walking distance. The hotel is new, the rooms are very comfortable, and the large public bath is incredibly relaxing. There's a shopping mall with an Aeon supermarket not far from the hotel, offering lots of delicious food. I went around 9 PM and found many items at 50% off. The Iwate milk was a huge surprise – absolutely delicious, the best milk I've ever had in all my trips to Japan! Morioka is truly wonderful, and I hope to visit again next time!

Anonymous UserOverall, the hotel is great and perfect for those who want to focus on skiing. However, the hotel is a bit old and the soundproofing isn't the best. On the positive side, the staff are very friendly and happy to help with any issues. The facilities are also well-equipped and suitable for families, with many amenities and ski lesson packages for children.

The room was great although a bit small for anyone carrying a luggage bigger than 24 inches. You need to grab your amenities in the lobby. The room was very clean and the walk-in shower was much more convenient than a tub. The internet was amazingly fast. The breakfast was absolutely the most enjoyable part of the stay. You have different options including some local ones. The view of the seats are fascinating. You never get tired of just sitting there and enjoying a cup of morning coffee.

The Four Points by Sheraton Morioka is conveniently located very close to the JR station. Just exit West Exit and walk straight, then you can take the pedestrian bridge on the 3rd floor directly to the hotel's sign, take the elevator down, and you're there. The hotel is quite new, and my single room was well-designed; I could fit a 28-inch suitcase at the foot of the bed. The window opens, and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet during my stay, likely due to lower occupancy, making it perfect for solo travelers. The only downside is that it's a bit of a walk to the nearest convenience store.

Conveniently located beside JR Morioka station and Iwate Galaxy Railway (IGR) Line with the bus terminus across the road in front of the hotel and also housed within the same building as the FESAN Shopping Mall.
Room was spacious and the breakfast (buffet style) in the hotel’s Chinese restaurant was good.
City sightseeing bus stops at 5pm so I opted to walk to Morioka Castle/Park which took about 20mins to reach.

1. Hotel Location
The hotel is located in a relatively remote area of Tsunaki Onsen. Access involves a slope and a road. Buses are infrequent, making it difficult for those without a car to reach the area. A taxi from Morioka Station costs a fixed 5,000 yen fare to the hot springs, and the journey takes over 20 minutes.
2. Neighborhood Amenities
The hotel is located in a relatively remote area of the hot springs. The nearest convenience store is over a 15-minute walk away. There are few other shops nearby. Once you enter the hotel, you're confined to the hotel. Even if you want to walk to the nearby river, the walk is over ten minutes. It's recommended to stock up on daily necessities, such as snacks, in the city before heading to the hotel.
3. Hotel Facilities
This hotel is a very traditional hot spring inn. The building has three floors and approximately 21 rooms. The baths are separate for men and women, one indoor and one outdoor. However, the outdoor open-air bath is too close to the grass, making it prone to mosquitoes at night. The indoor bath is spacious, and since there are not many guests, you can enjoy it alone. The room facilities are a bit dated. The Wi-Fi speed is adequate, but the TV cannot connect to a tablet or YouTube. The room window overlooks the landscaped grounds next to the lobby. If you enjoy traditional Japanese inns, you will enjoy the facilities at this hotel.
4. Hotel Staff
The hotel staff are very friendly and proactive in offering assistance. However, one area I think could be improved is that the dinner and breakfast service was a bit too fast.

PooM RagOverall, the room is standard in the typical Japanese hotel style. They provide an ergonomic pillow, but I didn’t like it very much. There was still some dust found around the headboard area.
The in-room safe was not working, and no water was provided. However, the location is good—not far from the station. Free sachet creams are available, and the price is reasonable. I would recommend staying here.
