The hotel is linked to a mall. The mall is quite empty with only a few shops and eateries open. There are a few coffeeshops nearby for breakfast or lunch but they close around 2.30pm. Convenience shop 7-11 is within walking distance. The room we had is spacious with a balcony and beautiful river view. There is a corner in the room near to toilet that gives off a mouldy smell. Our sleep was interrupted in the very early morning with singing from a nearby mosque. Can't be helped as this is part of their morning ritual.

It’s right beside Mahkota Medical Centre and right next to the pickup point at Hatten Hotel where the coach stops. Great location!
Room is clean and nice except the aircon is centralised air conditioning and cannot adjust the temperature. Room is rather warm (around 26 degrees). Requested for a standing fan but it’s not available.
Many eateries near the hotel that you can explore
Is a good hotel, staff cant do much from my observation due to lack of worker. Guest extend check out so early guest must wait unti 3pm. Just imagine we from SG, from Terengganu and arrive a little early about 130 to 200 pm but cant check in, although hotel help with our luggage.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated right next to the main road. The surrounding area offers a variety of pleasant and affordable dining options.
Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance to the riverside, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. The scenic views of the historic shop houses make for a therapeutic and picturesque experience.

Room is within Pines Hotel. Room with twin beds is huge. There was also a sofa that could become a sofa bed. Good level of cleanliness for room and toilet. Had a small table in a partial kitchenette with a sink and small fridge. Bed was comfortable enough. Aircon worked well. Only local TV channels, not very good reception. Couldn’t connect to the wifi. Location wise, it’s next to a big main road on one side and the Melaka River on the other, about a 20min walk to Jonker St area. There’s an open air food court opposite (Wong Kok) with good Chinese food. Further down on the same side as the hotel, there’s a roti canai shop, a yong tau foo shop, a roti john shop and a minimart. Won’t go hungry. Buy your own water. Would recommend for the low price.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Peaceful and Comfortable Stay at Amber Cove Premier Suite Melaka
I stayed at Amber Cove Premier Suite during my holiday in Melaka, and I’m so glad I chose this place. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, just what I needed for a peaceful getaway.
The suite was clean, modern, and cozy, with all the basic amenities I needed. I really appreciated the beautiful view from the balcony, and the pool was a bonus—perfect for a quick dip to cool off after a day of sightseeing.
It’s located in a quiet area, yet it’s still close enough to tourist attractions like Jonker Walk, Pantai Klebang for sunset views, and nearby restaurants. Grab rides were also affordable and easy to get.
If you’re looking for a place that feels like home but with hotel comfort, I highly recommend staying here. It made my Melaka trip even more enjoyable. 💙

deal for travellers seeking spacious, well-styled rooms and friendly service close to Melaka’s historic center—especially if you're driving or have an EV. Perfect for families, couples, or solo business travellers who don’t mind a bit of street noise or minor upkeep issues.

I was given a higher floor unit, and I absolutely loved the view. I could see the Straits of Melaka from my window, along with the clear blue sky truly calming and peaceful. However, I was a little disappointed during this trip due to a bed bug issue. I really hope the management will take better care of the apartment's overall cleanliness moving forward.

Location wise, you need your own vehicle to get there. Otherwise, any e-hailing should work, too. Plenty of parking space. Room is clean and quite spacious. Pillows are a bit too hard and high/huge, not too comfortable on the neck. For a comfortable and affordable stay in Melaka, this hotel is good.

LLimKeithPleasant Stay at Baba Hotel Malacca (Level 2 Room)
This wasn’t my first time staying at Baba Hotel Malacca, and overall, it was another pleasant experience.
We were assigned a room on Level 2. The room size was decent for two people, with a comfortable bed that provided a good night’s rest. There was no weird smell in the room, and the towels were fresh and pleasantly fragrant, which I really appreciated.
The bathroom had strong water pressure and no drainage issues, which is often overlooked but makes a difference. However, the basin water flow was a bit slow, and I feel the bathroom could benefit from a proper ventilation fan. Also, cleanliness between the tiles could be improved for a better overall feel.
One noticeable improvement during this visit was the internet speed, which was better than before—perhaps due to a different room location within the hotel.
That said, noise insulation could still be improved, as sounds from the corridor or neighboring rooms were occasionally audible.
A special mention to the FOM/DM, who was very friendly and attentive—really made us feel welcome. The same goes for the other staff members, who were equally warm and helpful throughout our stay.
All in all, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Malacca, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.
MMery1985Staying there for 2 nights for medical check-up at Mahkota Hospital. To Mahkota is around 10-15 minutes walking. Or you could have Grab for 5 minutes. The hotel just close enough with restaurants, and others.
Breakfast is fair enough with the budget. And the taste quite good.

AAnonymous UserFast check-in and check-out, plenty of parking spots available. I booked a room for 3 people, it looked decent at first glance however you can see dirty patches on the wall, mold spots and soap stains in the bathroom. The beds are low, causing difficulty for those with back pains, and really old and made squeaking sounds. Aircond worked fine, however the same can’t be said about the TV and the hairdryer. There’s no mini bar even though it’s shown in the photo. The iron and ironing board is located outside the room. Some amenities i.e toothbrush, comb weren’t provided. Maybe I was unlucky with the room and it felt like staying at a 2-star.
We had breakfast buffet at Bemban restaurant, food was good with decent options. The dinner at Asahan Coffee was also superb, especially the fish head curry was sooo good.
The staff were all friendly and gave greetings and the service was good. But the hotel should really invest more in the housekeeping area and the furniture/appliances maintenance.

CCarophoneSpent 3D2N here in Malacca - holy place, friendly people, delicious food. Stayed in The Sterling helped my trip more fruitful in many ways:
Pros:
- private enclosed open car park, no worries for safety, only hot sun.
- perfect location allowed us to walk to popular places such as St Peter’s Church, St Paul’s Hill, Christ Church, Jonker Street, etc.
- service is simple but sufficient, no excessive wastage of any sort.
- Water dispenser at lobby and corridors outside rooms.
- basic amenities, bring own shower gels and shampoo, etc.
Cons:
- soundproof is average, but didn’t bother me at all.
Thank you

DDarth.I recently stayed at the Mudzaffar Hotel in Melaka, and while the hotel offers a convenient location and decent amenities, there were a couple of issues that affected my overall experience. Firstly, the room had an unpleasant carpet odor that was hard to ignore. Additionally, the room did not have a fridge, which was a downside for those looking to store perishables or cool drinks.
These shortcomings aside, the hotel shows potential and could be a comfortable stay if these issues are addressed by the management.
GGuest UserWe stayed for 5 nights at the Pines. We booked the Junior Suite and the room was sizable, clean and nice. Bed was comfortable and the aircon is good. Travelling around was easy from the hotel via Grab. However, I have the following feedback regarding the hotel:-
a) The hotel restaurant did not serve dinner and on rainy days, it is very inconvenient for the hotel guests to travel out to have dinner.
b) We asked for umbrellas so we could go out for dinner but the hotel reception told us that they have only one umbrella and that it is spoilt. A little disappointed that the 4-star hotel did not even have functional umbrellas that the guest could borrow.
c) There was no lounge deck chairs at the pool area which is not quite what I expected.
d) The gym was stuffy and smelly as the aircon was not on even during operating hours.
e) The WiFi was unreliable and sometimes there is no connectivity at all.
Hopefully, the hotel can improve on the above.
NNadjiamistGreat hotel. Suitable for families or big groups of travellers. Do note there is no pool or gym and most rooms does not equipped with bathtub. However, there is a small gaming/VR Room for guests to use. There is a small elevator installed for guests on wheelchairs but we can use it too. Few stories high, take the stairs when u can. Instead of TV, room comes with a projector & large screen. Room is small but clean. Room comes with bottled water and a few packet drinks. We were given a complimentary tote bag and drinks as a welcome gift and a fridge magnet as a farewell gift. Delighted. Beds are clean and staffs are friendly. Speaks English well too. We would love to stay here again. Highly recommended!
