Was looking forward to our stay with the rebranding of Belmont to international chain Mercure. GOOD: 1. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Diane at the check-in counter was helpful. 2. 6-7 minutes walking access to the private beach and outdoor pool shared with Savoy Hotel. 3. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. 4. It also has an indoor pool, gym, and spa. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. For a 4-star hotel, Pulo's breakfast was average with nothing special or memorable. The food selection for the buffet is plentiful but not premium. The service of the attendants is lacking. Once seated, no one approached us to offer water or coffee during breakfast. Spread is a decent size so you'll find something to fill you up. 2. There is sewer smell in the lobby of our floor and inside the elevator at times. One staff admitted that the building has plumbing issues in the basement. 3. Elevator security system is faulty. Would not accept my keycard so could not go to our floor. Had to approach the reception desk THREE times to have my keycard checked. Eventually a staff had to accompany me to the elevator to tap my floor.

Our stay at Bohol Beach Club was an absolute dream, a perfect blend of swaying palm trees and pristine white sands! We stayed in a beachfront villa suite, and from our terrace, we had an uninterrupted view of the towering coconut trees, standing like elegant sentinels stretching endlessly along the coastline. They not only formed a stunning tropical tableau but also provided refreshing shade from the scorching sun. Lying in a hammock or on a beach chair, listening to the rustle of the coconut leaves in the sea breeze, was the unique, soothing soundtrack of this place. The fine, soft white sand was a delight to walk on barefoot, transitioning from warm to cool with every step. The beach gently sloped into the clear, emerald-green waters, creating a natural shallow area that was safe and perfect for children to play and for beginners to snorkel. If you're looking for that classic, quintessential island paradise – swaying palms, immaculate white sand, and crystal-clear water – Bohol Beach Club is the epitome of that postcard-perfect scene. We will definitely return for more memories of this coconut breeze and white sand!

Excellent Stay! I recently stayed at this accomodation and was really impressed. The room was well-equipped — it had a coffee maker, rice cooker, induction cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine…and even a garment steamer! There was a steady supply of drinking water, a big TV, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. I also appreciated the bathrobes provided — a nice touch of comfort. It also had a gym and a pool but unfortunately, I stayed on a Monfay and its closed for cleaning and maintenance. The place is quiet since it’s located away from the city noise but still conveniently close to the airport. The only small issue I had was figuring out how the hot shower works, but everything else was perfect. Overall, it was a great stay and I’d definitely come back!

The room was clean and spacious enough for the three of us, and the service was good value for the price. Access from the room to the pool was very convenient. The swimming pool is large and suitable for both kids and adults, with shallow areas on both sides for non-swimmers and deeper sections in the middle for more confident swimmers. Breakfast was plated and reasonable for its price. The room tended to be a bit humid, and the pool had a strong chlorine level, so using swimming goggles may be helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This hotel offers excellent value for money; I'd highly recommend it to any friends visiting Bohol. **Facilities:** No mini-fridge, which I suggest they improve. The local weather is hot, and it's inconvenient when you want a cold drink or ice cream in your room. **Cleanliness:** Very clean. The pool is meticulously cleaned every day. **Environment:** It's quite close to Alona Beach. The hotel offers a shuttle service, and even if you take a tricycle back on your own, it's not expensive. There's a decent-sized supermarket about a ten-minute drive away. **Service:** The front desk and staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was decent value for money. But lots of small giggles...our room was right kn top of the area that served bfast. Trolleys bringing food in made a lot of noise from 5 am! Towels were not freely available! Choice of food for vegetarians is limited.

The resort has a lot to offer — it has a condominium, beach, swimming pools, event space, restaurants and a bar. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The pools and the beach side are well-maintained. They also offer a free bike and kayak ride whenever you stay at the resort. They also serve complimentary drinks once you arrive.

Booked a deluxe twin room for my two-day, one-night free and easy trip to Cebu. It was great value for money. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot despite being in a busy area. The breakfast buffet was good, and there's a huge mall next door with a food court and a big supermarket. I even found some local Cebu specialties like dark chocolate-covered dried mangoes, which were more than half the price compared to Manila airport. However, the city center of Cebu isn't the best environment, though it felt safe enough.

Conveniently located close enough to Alona beach to easily access all the restaurants, beaches, shops etc by scooter or tuktuk but also far away enough to not constantly be bothered by loud motors, tons of roosters and all that other noise. Rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with safe, fridge, hair dryer and plenty of racks and hooks to hang and dry your clothes. There's also an outdoor gym area and the pool is big and good for swimming. Plus the wifi is very stable and great for working remotely. Service is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is good too. Can recommend the hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Luxu. All the facilities are brand new and very well maintained. The service is exceptional. Breakfast was good and offered a choice of Asian and western style options, though got repetitive after few days. The only issue we had was that rooms were not soundproofed well, so you get all the noises from the corridor, other rooms and the street, what could be disturbant for some. Count with about 15 minutes walk besides a road if going for the beach.

MMica Lezah AlforqueAs a resident of Lapu-Lapu, I understand how important it is to find a comforting staycation spot, especially when traveling with kids. Solea is one such place that offers a welcoming environment. Children can have a delightful time exploring the various swimming pools. The food is enjoyable, and the serving portions are fair for the price. I recommend trying their pancit; it’s truly delicious. The rooftop bar feels cozy and relaxing. If you want to unwind after a busy day, it’s a great place to stay. While the wine selection is limited, the warm ambiance makes up for it. The rooms are decent. We did encounter a broken bidet, but it was manageable and didn’t overshadow our stay. One aspect I wasn’t particularly pleased with was the beach. It seemed somewhat neglected, with an abundance of weeds. With better maintenance, it could truly reach its full potential. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and I hope future visitors can enjoy it as much as we did.

MMzcindyongI recently stayed at Bluewater Maribago and had an overall pleasant experience. The resort offers a relaxing atmosphere with strong hospitality standards and several standout features, though there are also areas that could benefit from improvement. What I Liked 1. Excellent service and hospitality, especially at the Oyster Bar. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional, which truly elevated the dining experience. 2. Newly refurbished modern rooms that feel fresh, clean, and well-designed for comfort. 3. Convenient buggy service around the property, which makes getting around easy and enjoyable. 4. Lifeguards stationed at all pools and swimming areas, providing reassurance and a strong sense of safety for guests. 5. Anuma Spa’s ambience and treatment selection, which offer a relaxing environment with a wide range of spa services to choose from. Areas for Improvement 1. Breakfast management during peak hours needs significant improvement. Around 8:30 AM, the breakfast area becomes very busy, and food replenishment is slow. For example, while there are three hot steamers dedicated to eggs, bacon — a hot favorite — is served on a small plate that gets wiped out within seconds. Food supply and quality control during peak periods should be better managed to ensure consistency. The bread selection, however, is excellent and deserves recognition. 2. Security procedures may unintentionally compromise guest privacy. Guests are frequently asked to state their room number when leaving the lobby, and again when entering through the guardhouse — first to taxi drivers and then to security officers. This means multiple strangers may overhear room numbers, which raises safety and privacy concerns. A more discreet verification process would enhance guest security. 3. Spa promotions for in-house guests are lacking. While the spa experience is excellent, there are currently no exclusive perks for staying guests. Introducing options such as an early bird discount (e.g., 10:00 AM–3:00 PM) or curated half-day and full-day “head-to-toe recharge” packages would be attractive. The spa pricing is relatively high compared to comparable standard spas outside the hotel, so value-added incentives for in-house guests would make the experience even more appealing. Overall, Bluewater Maribago offers a comfortable and well-maintained resort experience with strong service standards. With improvements in breakfast management, privacy-focused security procedures, and enhanced spa promotions for in-house guests, the resort could further elevate its guest experience.

NNestor Rey PaglinawanThe hotel is in the heart of the city with everything you need from food, amenities and parties. The hotel itself is strategically located where people are usually gathered (just beside Ayala mall, Sugbo Merkado (my favourite) and any other establishments. The staff are all amazing and friendly. The check-in and check-out process was smoth. Although, when we arrived in the hotel on the first day, many people were on the reception and they were a bit loud, staff could have control the situation. The breakfast buffet was okay, however the bacon were mostly crispy even if it was on the tray for soft bacon ;( still crispy. The pool on the rooftop is superb, big and very clean. Overall, we had a lovely holiday in Cebu and Seda Central Bloc hotel made it even special. Thanks Seda.

GGuest UserIt's one my memorable experience hotel in my recent trip. All staff are very friendly. If you're looking for the best sunset view, look no further because their rooftop bar is amazing and have incredible sunset view. Gym is very tiny  so I think that this facilities that they need to improve and expand if they can. In terms of location, a bit out from the central Alona beach but I like that it's quiet and closer to The mist restaurant. Around 5 to 7 mins Tuktuk ride to Alona Beach. I would not recommend booking an activities via reception tho as I find it a bit overpriced. There are other options! Buffet breakfast has a variety of selections. My room and the bed is heaven and the  balcony is overlooking the beach and with an amazing sunset view and it soooo spacious!! If you're going out at night for bar hopping and clubs try to leave a little early as there's not enough tuk tuk outside around 10 or 11 to take you there. Going back to your hotel is not a problem as there's more transport in the central area. Overall, it was an amazing and memorable experience.

CCattleiWe stayed at Savoy Hotel Cebu and overall the experience was just okay. The room was smaller than what was shown in the photos, which was a bit disappointing. The toilet was also quite small and did not feel as dainty or well-designed as expected. Another concern was the breakfast policy. We booked the room with breakfast for 3 pax, but only 2 breakfasts were honored because my daughter is already 12 years old. This was not clearly explained during the booking, so it came as a surprise. The hotel is decent, but clearer information and more accurate photos would help manage guests’ expectations better.

TTreyExplorerAmazing staff! Great food, many pools, and brilliant atmosphere. I was in a newly renovated room. Although the toilet seat definitely needed updating. The seat was damaged/old and needed replacing. I requested this two days in a row, and it wasn’t changed. Other than the toilet seat issue, my stay was perfect.

BBaimajunzai2000Facilities: Hot water shower and air conditioning are good. But there are no other facilities in the room, no kettle, no hair dryer. You need to bring your own kettle, or go to the front desk to get a cup and pour water. Hygiene: The room is cleaned every day, but the swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. I don’t know how to maintain it, so I didn’t dare to go to the swimming pool. Fortunately, it’s close to the sea, so you can just swim in the sea. Environment: Both entering and exiting require a long and rugged road. Close to the sea, you can go snorkeling. It's just a hotel, without any star-level services provided, and there is a service fee charged at the end. It is incorrect to list it as a top-ranked local four-star hotel on Ctrip. There should be more options. Service: Unlike the diving shops in Bohol, there is no safety officer here. We took part in the snorkeling activity, because we went with divers, the guide was not very enthusiastic. There is no introduction leaflet for the event to refer to. However, it is indeed convenient to go to see the sardines. You can just take a boat and join the activity to get there. No need to go around town. Special reminder: this fee is not deducted by Ctrip, you need to pay in cash at the store. There is a reminder in the order, please be sure to bring enough cash.

GGuest UserOur family had a wonderful stay at Solea Mactan Resort. We booked a 2-bedroom unit and were impressed by how spacious it was. The beds were generously wide, giving all of us a comfortable, restful sleep. Our room location was perfect — we had an unobstructed view of the ocean, plus a full view of the resort’s pools and park area, which the kids loved. The complimentary buffet breakfast for two was a highlight. There was an extensive spread covering Filipino, Japanese, Italian, and other international cuisines, so there was something for everyone. Overall, it was an ideal short family staycation. The combination of space, views, and food made the experience seamless. We’ll definitely return for our next family vacation. Thank you, Solea Mactan Resort!
