The best was location right on Nanjing Road. Many shops and restaurants around. Walk to Subway Station for 5 minutes. Walk to bund to see the beautiful Shanghai River views. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. Unfortunately, they can't control people who smoke right on their main entrance steps and side door area. Therefore, the smell was getting in the lobby area. A staff member who is standing in the main entrance is supposed to help carry the luggage. He was not doing his job. Thank God only a few steps we can handle it. The swimming pool was closed for renovation, and the GYM closed and opened a specific time? Overall, it was a good stay, but compared the price I paid. I did not feel they met my expectations as a five-star hotel.

We had such a wonderful stay! The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the city, very close to the subway. You can easily acces every major attraction without the need to take a taxi or to switch the subway too much. Highly recommend. On top of everything we got such a nice room with an incredible view on 26th floor. We have to thank Oliver from the reception for giving us such a nice room.

I stayed here for a business trip to Shanghai, having seen many online reviews praise its convenient location. I can confirm those reviews are spot on – both the high-speed train station and subway are right outside the hotel. The hotel service was absolutely excellent. From the doormen and front desk staff to the restaurant team and housekeeping, everyone was incredibly polite and proactive in greeting guests. My room was spacious and surprisingly quiet, despite facing the train station. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a generous and diverse buffet with plenty of Chinese and Western options. All the facilities were top-notch. I'd definitely choose this Pullman again for my next trip to Shanghai.

The hotel itself is a historic building, with the breakfast cafe being particularly beautiful. Our room overlooked the Shanghai city skyline, offering good privacy and a nice view. The room size was a bit on the smaller side. While some facilities were slightly dated, they were very well-maintained. The bathroom had excellent water pressure, which made for a really comfortable shower. The hotel breakfast was excellent and highly recommended!

We recently stayed at the Conrad Shanghai, and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers easy access to top attractions, shopping areas, and transport links. The views from the higher floors are breathtaking—especially at night. What touched us the most was the surprise birthday gift for our baby—a beautifully wrapped present and a handwritten card waiting for us in the room. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the stay even more special and memorable. Small details like this show the level of care and attention Conrad is known for.

This hotel has a really interesting style which makes a nice change from all the cookie-cutter 5star chain hotels. The location is pretty amazing, next door to the Bund, metro lines 10 and 14 and Yu Garden. Our room had a great view over the river and looking towards the light show on the Pudong side. Breakfast was good. While the western breakfast was extensive perhaps the Chinese selection could have a bigger selection? We were really happy that we picked this hotel and definitely recommend it.

From the room and the furnitures, you can tell that it is an old hotel. The lobby is grand but the room is not as great in comparison. Room was not well lit when curtain is closed and all the lights are on. However, hotel is situated at an extremely great location; right outside of the hotel is Nanjing Pedestrian Street. The Bund is walking distance. Nearby the hotel has many great and famous restaurants. If you don’t mind that the room is a bit run down (but relatively clean), I think this hotel is a great place to stay.

The 16th-floor executive lounge offers a comfortable lounge space and excellent service. The rooms are warm, clean, and well-maintained, with soft bedding and a clean, odor-free bathroom. Stayed for a night at Raddison Collection Hyland Shanghai. The location is obviously very central, and in the most crowded area of Shanghai. The hotel has two entrances and guests can directly get to Nanjing road through one of the entrances. It’s an ideal place to stay for tourists who wanna want to do sightseeing and not spend much time in the room. The rooms are rather small and not very bright. There wasn’t any bathtub in the room and the shower area was small. The air conditioner couldn’t be switched to heating mode and I felt a bit cold during my stay but I didn’t contact the hotel about it because I just stay for one night. The cleanliness was ok but not perfect, the reason might be that during this period the hotel was basically fully booked and the housekeepers were very busy. The staff that I met were all nice and helpful, especially the concierge staff who helped me with a package delivery that I had. Overall, my stay was ok but not great. I would recommend this place for its location but not for the rooms. Service was good.

Jing'an District Shanghai|2.97km from city centre
I was in Shanghai for an exhibition and booked The Kunlun Hotel through an online travel platform. Its location is fantastic, super close to the subway; just 100 meters from Exit 12 of Jing'an Temple Station! Stepping inside, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and grandeur. The lobby is expansive, with high ceilings, and feels incredibly opulent. I stayed on a high floor. My initial room was on the 23rd floor, offering a view of Jing'an Temple. Unfortunately, there was a minor issue: the air conditioner started leaking, so I had to switch rooms. My second room, on the 28th floor, then had a splendid view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. From both high vantage points, Shanghai's bustling traffic looked incredibly dense and vibrant. As someone who can feel overwhelmed by crowded patterns, it was quite a sight! The hotel also generously invited me to a buffet meal at their 38th-floor restaurant. There was a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, though I regret forgetting to take photos. The Japanese ramen was decent, and overall, it was a simple yet satisfying meal. However, I must say, sitting by the window and looking down offered a truly commanding perspective, allowing me to once again soak in Shanghai's dynamic energy. It was a wonderful experience! As for the room itself, it was perfectly equipped with everything one could need and was genuinely comfortable and well-appointed! A quick tip for fellow travelers: toothbrushes are not provided in the room, so if you forget yours, remember to ask for one at the front desk. I was a bit rushed during check-out, so I didn't get a chance to photograph the breakfast buffet area. However, the breakfast buffet actually offered a great ambiance and a wide variety of choices – it was quite good! Should I visit Shanghai again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

I chose the Swissôtel near Jing'an Temple for the convenience of meeting friends. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are fully functional and in good working order. This hotel was exceptional. Firstly the lady at check in desk Yulia was very friendly and Jack was very welcoming. The hotel has a very nice lobby with a Lavazza there so convenient to grab a coffee. The room was very spacious and there was a small cake for my wife's birthday by chef. The beds were comfortable and very big which was nice. The location is absolutely outstanding the best thing is the subway station which is literally 5 minute or less walk. Xintiandi is very close by taxi and all other prime locations. I did like a late night delivery of food and the robot bought it to the room which was great to see. Lastly the breakfast was very nice it has many western option from cereals to different pastries and also very nice fruit selection and juices. The Bund Area Shanghai|1.78km from city centre
I stayed in a Deluxe City View King Room for three days. As I was quite tired from traveling, I mostly explored the area around Nanjing Road and the Bund, and consequently spent a good amount of time experiencing the hotel itself. **Peace Hotel Historical and Cultural Tour:** I personally love hotels with a sense of history and age, so I really enjoyed this tour. The guide was excellent, not only explaining things within the museum but also taking us to other famous spots. For instance, Picture 7 shows the revolving door at the Jasmine Lounge (where the breakfast buffet is served), which is the iconic door from *Blossoms Shanghai* that Mr. Bao used. For an additional 88 RMB, you can visit the old elevator (Picture 8) and the 11th-floor rooftop terrace (Pictures 9 and 10). I think fans of *Blossoms Shanghai* would find this very interesting, as it's the same terrace used by Mr. Bao and Miss Wang. My only regret is that you can only look at the old elevator; it would have been wonderful to experience a ride on it, even just for one floor. Picture 2 shows an old piano in the Jasmine Lounge, where the breakfast buffet is served. Pictures 3, 4, and 5 show the classic jazz band performance. I asked a staff member, and they mentioned that the band members on the screen are from an earlier generation, different from the current group. The performance was excellent, especially the lead saxophonist. Later, a female vocalist also sang. The entire performance lasted quite a while, from 7 PM to past 11 PM. Unfortunately, I was short on time and only listened for about an hour before leaving. There's a minimum spend of 418 RMB per person, which can be offset by ordering drinks, snacks, fruit platters, etc. Picture 6 shows the beautiful ceiling above the Peace Dove statue in the lobby. The last two photos, surprisingly, capture the most delightful aspect of my stay: the Le Labo Santal 33 soap and Rose 31 bath amenities. Initially, I just used them casually and found them wonderfully fragrant. Later, I discovered the hotel had a Le Labo boutique, and after browsing and learning more about the brand, I returned to my room to fully appreciate the scents. Bathing in the tub that evening, using the complete Rose 31 range – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion – was an unparalleled indulgence. Before checking out, I even went to the shop and bought the Shanghai-exclusive perfume. The rooms are replenished daily with the Santal 33 soap and Rose 31 products, and you can even take them home as a souvenir when you leave. All the staff members were also very friendly and provided excellent service. The only minor drawback was the dining. During my stay, I tried breakfast at the Jasmine Lounge, Victor's restaurant, and some snacks at the Jazz Bar, but the quality across the board was quite ordinary. It wasn't bad, per se, but it didn't feel up to the standard of a grand hotel; nothing truly impressed me. Especially since we had stayed at the Hangzhou State Guesthouse just before this, where the culinary standards were exceptionally high, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed at the Peace Hotel. I hope they can elevate their dining quality rather than just relying on the ambiance.

As a frequent guest, I can attest that the high-tech room experience is truly superb; everything can be conveniently controlled via the AI assistant, XiaoDu! Moreover, the service from our butler, Alice, was incredibly attentive and thorough. I stayed here for one night. I came here after leaving another hotel that wasn't good. I'm so glad that I came here instead. I really got such a good night's sleep. One of the hotel staff, Ekko, was extra helpful in answering my questions in English, allowing me to stay longer in the lobby while I waited for my friend and even offered me a bottle of water. He was very welcoming! The the bed is so comfortable and soft and the hotel is very clean. And the breakfast is also delicious. You also have a vending machine on the first floor that takes digital payment and a mini refrigerator in your room. There's also a smart TV with HDMI and screen mirroring. It's great value for money and it's also just a really comfortable place to stay. The interior design is really beautiful and eclectic. I think you'll have fun just hanging out in the lobby, good music playing, for a couple hours doing some work at one of the many sitting areas in the lobby, if you're a digital nomad like me. Zhujiajiao, Oriental Land Shanghai|43.7km from city centre
This resort hotel, conveniently located within Shanghai but feeling like a world away on its own secluded island, boasts incredibly polite local staff. We specifically opted for a sunroom in one of the older, unrenovated buildings. Each building has 16 rooms, and both the first and second-floor rooms come with identical small, square balconies. During our stay, we enjoyed the water park, kayaking, and the cat pavilion. There are also many other activities to suit individual preferences, such as a petting zoo, fishing, horse riding, a dedicated water play area for toddlers, various recreational activities, adult yoga classes, and children's crafts. The buffet breakfast truly astonished me. Having stayed in countless Ctrip 5-diamond hotels, I've grown accustomed to, even jaded by, their breakfast buffets. But today, at a local hotel, I was surprised to find authentic Xi'an roujiamo, Northwestern liangpi (cold noodles), mipi, various mini-pancakes, olive vegetable fried rice, and Shanghai fried noodles. The toddler-friendly water park is perfect for little ones who are new to swimming or a bit timid. The lazy river was very relaxing; however, the overhead water sprays were quite disorienting. I'd suggest wearing a straw hat to protect your ears and eyes from the water jets. For dining, there's the Peacock Chinese Restaurant and the Waterfall Western Restaurant; the latter boasts a superior ambiance. Combined with the hundred-acre farm-style restaurant just outside the hotel, all three main meals are conveniently covered. Shuttle services, including minibuses and electric vehicles, are available on demand. Surrounded by water on all sides, the natural environment is, needless to say, exceptional. If you have time, a bicycle tour around the island or even exploring it on foot would be a wonderful way to take it all in.

Shanghai Disney Resort Shanghai|21.83km from city centre
Booking this hotel for my Disney trip was the smartest decision! The hotel consists of individual villas, which makes for a very quiet and delightful stay. The rooms are spacious and very clean. You might even spot some adorable little cats roaming around the grounds. But the absolute highlight, and what truly sealed the deal, is the hotel's complimentary round-trip shuttle service to Disney. It's incredibly convenient, reaching the Disney park drop-off point in just five minutes. If you get tired during the day, you can even call a car back to the shopping village opposite the hotel for lunch, head back to your villa for a nap, and then return to Disney in the afternoon to continue the fun. The hotel staff are all incredibly friendly and responsive; they're always quick to assist with any request. What's more, after a tiring day at the park, you can unwind with a relaxing hot spring bath back at the hotel. The springs are open until 11 PM, making it a wonderfully soothing end to your day. Overall, this is definitely the best hotel choice for anyone visiting Shanghai Disneyland! I'd also like to offer a few small suggestions to the hotel management: For instance, during off-peak seasons, it might be worth considering temporarily closing some villas to save energy and streamline operations. Secondly, the hot spring massage fees are a bit on the expensive side. If the price could be around 100 RMB, or even better, if it could be integrated into the room rate and presented as a complimentary service, it would significantly enhance the perceived value. Additionally, the restaurant could benefit from more promotion, perhaps by offering Disney-themed lunch options or bento boxes, or simply by actively promoting its menu to guests. Lastly, I truly hope the hotel continues to thrive and improve. More promotion, especially on platforms like Xiaohongshu, would undoubtedly attract more guests and allow them to experience a fantastic Disney trip from your wonderful establishment.

She saw that I didn't bring a mouse pad so she brought me one from the hotel. She cleaned the room every day, folded my pajamas very well, and kept the dressing table tidy. I highly recommend Delta Hotel.

I used to stay in high-star hotels, but in recent years I have booked homestays when I come to Disneyland. I have a better understanding of the overall situation of the surrounding homestays. The bosses are all people who love life, the staff are relatively enthusiastic, and the room types are relatively unique, but the circle of time still gave us a surprise: 1. The staff's night shift is really ”night”. We arrived late, and they were still waiting for us at midnight. For several days, we left WeChat messages at one or two in the morning. They were surprised and answered questions as they came. On the first day, Shanghai was only more than ten degrees. If we wanted a quilt, we gave it to them. If we wanted to turn on the air conditioner for heating, we turned on the air conditioner. We also told us that if we needed to order takeout, the staff would wait... When the weather changed, they should have helped us collect the clothes that were hung out to dry (when we returned to the room at night, the clothes were returned to the room from the balcony, thank you 🙏) 2. Very friendly to children and pets. We brought many children with us (other guests also brought pets), and we were often afraid of disturbing others when traveling, but here we can let them go completely, safe, practical, and natural (only parents who travel with children carefully can understand this feeling) 3. The environment is very good, with an independent small courtyard, an independent restaurant, a book bar, lawn, swimming pool, small animals, etc. open 24 hours a day in the courtyard. The surrounding area is also very quiet. The boss also thoughtfully arranged a moonlit night barbecue and fireworks for children. The barbecue skewers are great! 4. Breakfast is already very rich in B&Bs, with porridge, corn, sweet potatoes, milk, buns, eggs, fruits, pickles, calculated by person, and you can add more if you need it; If you want to be picky, of course there are some small problems that B&Bs may have, such as some small facilities such as hangers are a bit loose, and idle furnishings cannot be bright and new all the time. Guests who choose B&Bs cannot be evaluated by the standards of five-star hotels. Finally, I want to say that I chatted with the staff in my spare time and learned that they have a small number of people and a high work intensity, working day and night shifts (in fact, there are many conscientious people in every industry), and they really love the B&B business! If you have the passion to do a job, you may be able to do what others cannot do in a short time; but if you love a job and do it, what kind of work status can you achieve over a long period of time? You can only feel it if you come here.

Is the Ritz-Carlton trying to position itself alongside hotels like Hilton and Pullman now? Seriously, the hygiene, facilities, and service were truly subpar across the board. On the first night, the room we were assigned had a terrible stench, exactly like a dirty public restroom. We waited for over half an hour to switch rooms, only to be given another room that reeked of mildew. The bed was noticeably damp, and it was clear the linens hadn't been changed. What's more, the complimentary bottled water had already been opened! But it was too late and we were too exhausted to request another change. So, I called the front desk and informed them that I would need a different room the next day—one without any odd smells and with a dry, clean bed. The next day, after returning from lunch, we were told our new room still wasn't ready. Around 2 or 3 PM, when we were about to leave, I called the front desk again. They said the room was ready and they'd send someone with the key card (it sounded like I was talking to the operator, not the front desk directly). We then waited for 40-50 minutes, but no key card arrived. I called again, and the operator seemed surprised, asking, 'It hasn't been sent yet?' She said she'd follow up. Another twenty minutes passed, and still nothing. I called *again*, emphasizing that we were in a rush to leave and asked them to transfer our luggage for us. The operator asked us to please wait a little longer in the room, assuring us someone would be right over. After *another* considerable wait, the front desk called and said, 'Actually, your new room isn't ready yet.' Are you playing games with me?! Honestly, staying here was beyond frustrating! The pervasive mildew smell was truly nauseating.

I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Hyatt. The room was incredible. When I check in they wanted me to upgrade my room for a fee (about $45 US) but I figured, all the room have great views. I doesn’t matter if I had a city view. It was still incredible. The pool, spa, steam room and sauna were clean enough. Around the steam room there was a permanent pee odor in one of the showers. That should be improved. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of options. The hotel is big and the restaurant seems inadequate to handle this much people at a times. Maybe they could open another restaurant to handle peak hours. The room was clean and had a large number of amenities. The TV set is a bit too small for the room. This was a great stay. The Grand Hyatt is a good option is you want to stay near the bund.

Having stayed at numerous Ritz-Carlton properties across China, the Ritz-Carlton Pudong is the only one I've felt compelled to return to so swiftly after my initial stay. Our second visit was particularly special, as we brought along our most cherished family members to celebrate my mother's 60th milestone birthday there. It was truly the exceptionally positive first experience that immediately convinced my wife and me to entrust this significant life event for my mother to the Ritz-Carlton Pudong. This subsequent visit, true to form, did not disappoint. Before check-in, we contacted the hotel's Guest Relations department to explain our occasion and made a few modest requests regarding the birthday arrangements. The hotel staff were incredibly patient and meticulously arranged everything for us. A special commendation goes to Jerry and Jeremy from the hotel. On our arrival day, they had thoughtfully prepared a beautiful birthday bouquet to present to my mother. My mother was utterly moved by the hotel's genuine warmth and attention, almost to tears. A delicate mini birthday cake and a heartfelt handwritten card were also thoughtfully placed in our room. My mother exclaimed how truly thoughtful and caring it all was. ❤️ I truly believe an outstanding hotel is defined not merely by its prime location, opulent environment, or the sophistication of its room amenities. It is, more profoundly, about the dedicated and professional staff, exemplified by Jerry and Jeremy. They serve every guest with heartfelt sincerity, addressing even the smallest request with utmost professionalism and responsibility, ensuring every resident's needs are met. This genuine commitment profoundly touches guests, fostering a true sense of belonging – a feeling of being genuinely at home, truly valued, and deeply cared for. With such an exceptional and professional service team, we will undoubtedly and consistently choose the Ritz-Carlton Pudong for our future stays. Genuine sincerity always leaves a lasting impression!

The Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund is ideally situated right by the Bund. The hotel boasts first-rate facilities, and the bedding in the rooms is incredibly comfortable – I slept a solid eight hours straight on my first night! While the breakfast selection wasn't overly extensive, its exquisite quality and freshness truly stood out. On the second morning, I stepped out of the hotel and, with just a two to three-minute walk, embarked on a 10km morning run along the Bund. The scenery and the running surface here are simply perfect for a run! My two-day stay was absolutely superb! A special mention goes to Rookie Yulia and Mark from the concierge team – their service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. When I checked in, I had quite a bit of luggage, and they proactively offered their assistance, thoughtfully asking if I had any other needs. This made my entire stay truly delightful.

No words can truly explain the level of service this hotel has provided. All the attendants at the reception had warmly welcomed us and provided a top notch service that is unparallel or any other hotel in Shanghai. If you are uncertain, this hotel truly is a must stay hotel in Shanghai. The rooms are big and staff are welcoming. I ordered pizza for room service, but I bet you it was the best microwave pizza I ever had. Lastly the lounge or the bar next to the reception was splendid, that have different kinds of Qingdao beer on the tap for you to have a deeper taste of what China has to offer you.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here, and it's always exceptional. I genuinely don't want to stay at any other hotel in Shanghai now! 😂 All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lady who assisted me with my check-out at 7 AM on August 22nd. ❤️ The lobby bar offers great drinks, and their seasonal menu is a delightful touch! The only 'downside' is that the beds are *so* incredibly comfortable that after all these stays, I still haven't managed to get myself to the gym in the mornings! 🤣 I also just discovered that Metro Line 7 goes directly to Longyang Road, and Exit 9 is right outside the hotel! This is absolutely perfect for someone like me who gets carsick and prefers taking the subway for airport transfers. 🥰 (And a bonus tip: even if you accidentally take the wrong line, you can exit from Line 2 at Reel Department Store, head to B1, and easily transfer to the Line 7 exit. Super convenient!)

Very cool designed hotel and love the design and indeed the stunning view of the Bund from the room. Had a long time deciding which hotel for bund views and definitely made a right choice! The breakfast was amazing- so many choices! Good quality. And the bar outside - wow again - great place to chill at night with the view. Also had dinner at Yen restaurant in the hotel - service is excellent and food is delicious. Happy that I could also order a cool cocktail collaboration they had with another cool place in Shanghai. Anyway shows W’s commitment to good design and lifestyle. Location of the hotel is great - short easy walk to the Bund and in the lovely - more chill neighbourhood of HongKou. Just next to mall with everything. Great stay! And yes love the very cute XLB and chopsticks plush in the room. Couldn’t stop admiring them :)

The room was quite spacious. The city view was decent, but a Bund view would have been much better – unfortunately, I couldn't book one. Driving to the hotel was a bit tricky. The lanes opposite the entrance are only marked for left and right turns, but you can actually drive straight in. Custom Le Labo travel toiletries: Not provided. Stylish shopping bag: Not provided. Service: All the staff were very pleasant. The staff member who helped with my luggage upon departure even thoughtfully directed me through the restaurant to avoid the midday sun.

It's hard to summarize my experience here; it was a stark contrast to the perfect stay I had at St. Regis Qingdao. The river view was the main draw, and the night view was just okay. While I acknowledge I arrived early, as I'd planned to have lunch at the Western restaurant, after my meal I inquired twice about my room. However, I wasn't notified when it was finally ready and had to go ask myself. I was told it was a very busy day. The bed rail I requested in my booking notes was simply left on the floor, so I decided not to bother the staff with installing it. However, I do want to thank the concierge for assisting with my luggage. And a big thank you to all the service staff.

Overall it was a pleasant stay ( we stayed in this hotel last year ). Location was very good as well as facility.  Front desk staff, some excellent, like Franck who was doing night shift the day  we checked in late at night, the door man was absent at the moment, Franck helped us with everything by himself, carrying heavy luggages to our rooms, as well as sending us all the  items we requested etc. some other staff was rather difficult, like one lady with glasses ( I don't know her name)  was being rather difficult when it comes to late check out since we had a late night  flight ( even though the rooms are vacant..). she quoted me a  higher rates then the actual official website, telling me the rooms are almost all rented out while I saw there were still many rooms that day on a few websites...  I did have air conditioning problem during the stay, had to wait almost an hour for the reparation....

Check-In went smoothly. Reception staff and concierge can speak very well English and are very helpful when asking directions or a cab to the airport. The view at the bar and executive lounge are amazing. The room was spacious, big comfortable beds and nice view. Only one small thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom wall was made out of glass and you don’t have an option to block the light when you need to use the bathroom late at night. Doors of the bathroom also need some check ups as they can be noisy. Breakfast was amazing. Overall it was a nice stay.
