Excellent service : Breeno let us check in much earlier than usual. Ruby Li gave us late check out, an awesome restaurant recommendation, searched for a shop nearby for the item I was looking for & called a retail shop on my behalf to check if my purchase was ready - so appreciative of her amazing service! Keira Li at the Club Lounge also provided great service. Crowne Plaza is very strategically located with many attractions, restaurants & shops within walking distance. The room itself has traditional closets with doors (nice for privacy & neatness factors) & drawers within, effective blackout curtains, great lighting, magnifying vanity mirror & thick fluffy towels plus a retractable laundry line in the bathroom. I would love to stay there again when I go to Shanghai next time.

My family and I had a great stay at Conrad Shanghai. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional, with a special shout out to Rick at the receptionist. We booked two rooms, and he went out of the way to arrange for our rooms to be on the same floor. He managed our expectations by not over promising that he could make our request work. But wow, he made it work in the end. While waiting, Rick gave our kids toys to keep them occupied. One of our group Being family with young kids and the other without, Taking our needs into consideration, Rick arranged for the best available rooms for us, at the same level. Thank you, Rick! The rooms are very clean and well maintained. And hotel very conveniently located to take a nice stroll to the bund. We look forward to returning to Conrad Shanghai.

After extensive searching among numerous hotels, we finally settled on this one. Its location is absolutely fantastic – it's within easy walking distance of The Bund, Yu Garden, the pedestrian street, and the ferry terminal. Plus, the metro station is just 100-200 meters away, making getting around incredibly convenient. A real highlight was being able to clearly see the iconic Pudong skyline, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, from many areas of the hotel. During check-in, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade and were also granted a late check-out. The service throughout our stay was incredibly attentive, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests – we're truly grateful! Breakfast was excellent and very plentiful. We also enjoyed the complimentary sightseeing bus tour, which lasted over an hour. We're already planning another trip to Shanghai with friends next month and have enthusiastically recommended this hotel to them. We certainly hope to stay here again! Finally, a big thank you to Trip.com for such an easy and quick booking experience.

The hotel is in a great location, a 10-minute walk to the Bund and street views along the way. The room is in good hygiene, the bed is comfortable to sleep, the table is free of dust, and there is peace of mind. Xiao Wu and Xiao Fu at the front desk were thoughtful, not only answering questions, but also taking the initiative to help pick up the express delivery. The laundry room and gym on the fourth floor meet the travel needs, and the executive lounge on the 16th floor is quiet, suitable for resting or dealing with small things, and the stay is very comfortable.

I was in Shanghai for an exhibition and booked The Kunlun Hotel through an online travel platform. Its location is fantastic, super close to the subway; just 100 meters from Exit 12 of Jing'an Temple Station! Stepping inside, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and grandeur. The lobby is expansive, with high ceilings, and feels incredibly opulent. I stayed on a high floor. My initial room was on the 23rd floor, offering a view of Jing'an Temple. Unfortunately, there was a minor issue: the air conditioner started leaking, so I had to switch rooms. My second room, on the 28th floor, then had a splendid view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. From both high vantage points, Shanghai's bustling traffic looked incredibly dense and vibrant. As someone who can feel overwhelmed by crowded patterns, it was quite a sight! The hotel also generously invited me to a buffet meal at their 38th-floor restaurant. There was a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, though I regret forgetting to take photos. The Japanese ramen was decent, and overall, it was a simple yet satisfying meal. However, I must say, sitting by the window and looking down offered a truly commanding perspective, allowing me to once again soak in Shanghai's dynamic energy. It was a wonderful experience! As for the room itself, it was perfectly equipped with everything one could need and was genuinely comfortable and well-appointed! A quick tip for fellow travelers: toothbrushes are not provided in the room, so if you forget yours, remember to ask for one at the front desk. I was a bit rushed during check-out, so I didn't get a chance to photograph the breakfast buffet area. However, the breakfast buffet actually offered a great ambiance and a wide variety of choices – it was quite good! Should I visit Shanghai again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Our flight landed early in Shanghai at 4am and we reached the hotel at 6.20 am. Even though it was not check-in time and we didn't request for early check-in in advance, the receptionist kindly offered us a free upgrade to another room so that we can check in earlier at 10am. The room was spacious and had many amenities. Most importantly, we had a washing machine+dryer in our apartment, so doing the laundry was extremely convenient. It was a little run-down but overall still quite clean. The downside is that there's no breakfast buffet and food options are limited here. There's a shopping centre and metro station nearby but it's still a 10 mins walk.

Today is my last day at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai. At first, I loved the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience has slowly deteriorated. Before arrival, I had tried emailing ************************* to make a small request to celebrate an anniversary, but the email failed to deliver with an error saying the recipient’s server didn’t recognize certain characters. I’m not sure why, as the email was in English and sent from my phone. At check-in, I mentioned this to the receptionist (his name started with “C”), who was very polite and spoke to the lady behind him, asking her to reach out to Angela to assist. He then told me to head to my room and assured me I would be contacted. I waited for an hour in the room with no update, so I went out hoping to find a message upon my return, but sadly, there was still nothing. The email issue could have been my fault, and that is fine. But what is unacceptable is being promised a follow-up for such a special occasion and then never receiving it. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better communication and service consistency. Later, my son lost part of his toy, which led me to start searching around the room. While doing so, I discovered dust under every cabinet. Worse, I found what looked like someone else’s cream bottle stuck between the bed and the dresser. This makes me believe that the bottom part of the bed sheet was not changed, as housekeeping would almost certainly have noticed such an item if the bed had been properly stripped and remade. I have stayed in many Marriott properties, and this is the first time I would give only 2–3 stars. :(

The Peace Hotel is brimming with historical charm and architectural grandeur. The service was also impeccable. Lisa at the front desk was exceptionally professional and kind, paying special attention to families with young children. Our package included treats from the patisserie. We initially expected just a few small cookies or similar, but were pleasantly surprised by a generous, substantial amount of food, easily enough to satisfy two adults. The hotel's swimming pool was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed two refreshing swims there on a hot summer's day, which was very comfortable. The Peace Museum is also well worth a visit, and the breakfast was superb! It was a buffet-style Chinese breakfast that felt much more generous and thoughtful than the set-menu options at some other five-star hotels. If I had one minor suggestion, it would be regarding some antique-style lamps we noticed on the way to the pool. Their bases have very sharp points, and if not installed perfectly, they could potentially pose an unintended safety risk. I'd suggest replacing them with antique-style lamps that have rounded bases. Additionally, the vases in the room might not be ideal for families with young children as they could easily be knocked over. I'd recommend that families with kids either ask to have them removed or ensure they are put away for safety.

Why just tick off the 'Three Towers' when you can stay right inside one? The hotel lobby is on the 56th floor of the Jin Mao Tower. You take an elevator up to transfer and check in, and then the guest rooms are located even higher. The hotel's biggest strengths are its location and views. You get direct vistas of the Oriental Pearl Tower and almost the entire panoramic Bund skyline, truly living up to the definition of a high-rise hotel. It offers a more distinctive experience compared to the Grand Hyatt Xi'an and Grand Hyatt Changsha. Although the rooms have some age, they don't feel dated. We were upgraded to a river-view room, which was quite satisfying as it offered direct views of the Oriental Pearl Tower – a real 'Pearl Room'! It's excellent for photography and definitely worth a visit. The hotel boasts a full range of facilities, including a pool, spa, sauna, gym, and executive lounge – everything you'd expect. The executive lounge also provides dinner, and Grand Club guests can enjoy early check-in. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; we spent over an hour enjoying it. If you have the chance, make sure to experience the public facilities – it makes the trip truly worthwhile. However, inter-departmental communication within the hotel needs strengthening. The day before, I received incorrect information when asking about the bar's operating hours. The next day, I was told slippers were allowed in the breakfast restaurant, only to find out they weren't. While each department's service attitude and facilities are excellent, their coordination and communication always feel a bit lacking. Guests shouldn't have to double-check information they've already inquired about. Despite this, the overall service attitude remains good. After I raised my concerns, a dedicated staff member promptly addressed the issues and even offered a small gift. I've been a loyal Grand Hyatt guest since university, and this minor hiccup won't diminish my perception of the brand. I hope they can resolve these issues and continue to improve.

Convenient hotel location. There is a subway nearby that goes directly to the airport. You can save on transfers. The rooms in one tower are a bit outdated, while the other has new renovations. The difference is not very significant. Very good breakfast. There is a swimming pool with a depth of 1.2 meters. A swimming cap is mandatory. I was satisfied with everything except the concierge service: some packages from Taobao were accepted by the hotel representative but never reached my room. A week-long investigation into ”where are my goods” led to nothing. If you don't plan to order a lot during your trip, you can't find a better option in this area. I decided for myself that next time I will stay with competitors. It's still important for me that delivered and accepted by the hotel orders don't go missing.

This resort hotel, conveniently located within Shanghai but feeling like a world away on its own secluded island, boasts incredibly polite local staff. We specifically opted for a sunroom in one of the older, unrenovated buildings. Each building has 16 rooms, and both the first and second-floor rooms come with identical small, square balconies. During our stay, we enjoyed the water park, kayaking, and the cat pavilion. There are also many other activities to suit individual preferences, such as a petting zoo, fishing, horse riding, a dedicated water play area for toddlers, various recreational activities, adult yoga classes, and children's crafts. The buffet breakfast truly astonished me. Having stayed in countless Ctrip 5-diamond hotels, I've grown accustomed to, even jaded by, their breakfast buffets. But today, at a local hotel, I was surprised to find authentic Xi'an roujiamo, Northwestern liangpi (cold noodles), mipi, various mini-pancakes, olive vegetable fried rice, and Shanghai fried noodles. The toddler-friendly water park is perfect for little ones who are new to swimming or a bit timid. The lazy river was very relaxing; however, the overhead water sprays were quite disorienting. I'd suggest wearing a straw hat to protect your ears and eyes from the water jets. For dining, there's the Peacock Chinese Restaurant and the Waterfall Western Restaurant; the latter boasts a superior ambiance. Combined with the hundred-acre farm-style restaurant just outside the hotel, all three main meals are conveniently covered. Shuttle services, including minibuses and electric vehicles, are available on demand. Surrounded by water on all sides, the natural environment is, needless to say, exceptional. If you have time, a bicycle tour around the island or even exploring it on foot would be a wonderful way to take it all in.

I chose to stay at Delta again because every employee in the hotel has very good professionalism, especially Aunt Wang Yuying who served me. She saw that I didn't bring a mouse pad so she brought me one from the hotel. She cleaned the room every day, folded my pajamas very well, and kept the dressing table tidy. I highly recommend Delta Hotel.

I used to stay in high-star hotels, but in recent years I have booked homestays when I come to Disneyland. I have a better understanding of the overall situation of the surrounding homestays. The bosses are all people who love life, the staff are relatively enthusiastic, and the room types are relatively unique, but the circle of time still gave us a surprise: 1. The staff's night shift is really ”night”. We arrived late, and they were still waiting for us at midnight. For several days, we left WeChat messages at one or two in the morning. They were surprised and answered questions as they came. On the first day, Shanghai was only more than ten degrees. If we wanted a quilt, we gave it to them. If we wanted to turn on the air conditioner for heating, we turned on the air conditioner. We also told us that if we needed to order takeout, the staff would wait... When the weather changed, they should have helped us collect the clothes that were hung out to dry (when we returned to the room at night, the clothes were returned to the room from the balcony, thank you 🙏) 2. Very friendly to children and pets. We brought many children with us (other guests also brought pets), and we were often afraid of disturbing others when traveling, but here we can let them go completely, safe, practical, and natural (only parents who travel with children carefully can understand this feeling) 3. The environment is very good, with an independent small courtyard, an independent restaurant, a book bar, lawn, swimming pool, small animals, etc. open 24 hours a day in the courtyard. The surrounding area is also very quiet. The boss also thoughtfully arranged a moonlit night barbecue and fireworks for children. The barbecue skewers are great! 4. Breakfast is already very rich in B&Bs, with porridge, corn, sweet potatoes, milk, buns, eggs, fruits, pickles, calculated by person, and you can add more if you need it; If you want to be picky, of course there are some small problems that B&Bs may have, such as some small facilities such as hangers are a bit loose, and idle furnishings cannot be bright and new all the time. Guests who choose B&Bs cannot be evaluated by the standards of five-star hotels. Finally, I want to say that I chatted with the staff in my spare time and learned that they have a small number of people and a high work intensity, working day and night shifts (in fact, there are many conscientious people in every industry), and they really love the B&B business! If you have the passion to do a job, you may be able to do what others cannot do in a short time; but if you love a job and do it, what kind of work status can you achieve over a long period of time? You can only feel it if you come here.

Is the Ritz-Carlton trying to position itself alongside hotels like Hilton and Pullman now? Seriously, the hygiene, facilities, and service were truly subpar across the board. On the first night, the room we were assigned had a terrible stench, exactly like a dirty public restroom. We waited for over half an hour to switch rooms, only to be given another room that reeked of mildew. The bed was noticeably damp, and it was clear the linens hadn't been changed. What's more, the complimentary bottled water had already been opened! But it was too late and we were too exhausted to request another change. So, I called the front desk and informed them that I would need a different room the next day—one without any odd smells and with a dry, clean bed. The next day, after returning from lunch, we were told our new room still wasn't ready. Around 2 or 3 PM, when we were about to leave, I called the front desk again. They said the room was ready and they'd send someone with the key card (it sounded like I was talking to the operator, not the front desk directly). We then waited for 40-50 minutes, but no key card arrived. I called again, and the operator seemed surprised, asking, 'It hasn't been sent yet?' She said she'd follow up. Another twenty minutes passed, and still nothing. I called *again*, emphasizing that we were in a rush to leave and asked them to transfer our luggage for us. The operator asked us to please wait a little longer in the room, assuring us someone would be right over. After *another* considerable wait, the front desk called and said, 'Actually, your new room isn't ready yet.' Are you playing games with me?! Honestly, staying here was beyond frustrating! The pervasive mildew smell was truly nauseating.

Comparing it to the other Marriott hotels I've stayed at in Shanghai/China, it wasn't that good, but definitely not bad at all. However, pay 200-300RMB more and stay at JW Marriott, which is like a couple of KMs away from this hotel. JW Marriot is on a whole new level!

We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel exudes a sense of tradition and timeless elegance, and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking — beyond words, really. I can confidently say it was the best view we've seen among all the hotels in Shanghai. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. The level of service throughout our stay was truly outstanding. Check-in and check-out were both quick and seamless, which we greatly appreciated after a long journey. Although the building itself shows a bit of age, everything else more than made up for it. The room was immaculately clean, with the furniture and flooring well maintained and neatly arranged. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome letter and fresh fruit, which added a personal touch and made us feel truly valued as guests. The breakfast venue offered not only excellent food but also a stunning view, making every morning feel special. The service at breakfast was also consistently attentive and professional. While the swimming pool was a bit on the smaller side, my husband still enjoyed it during the short time he was able to use it. Once again, the staff there were helpful and courteous, ensuring a pleasant experience. If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the slightly dated feel of the building itself. However, the incredible view, exceptional service, and overall atmosphere far outweighed that detail. Overall, I would confidently rate our stay as 9 out of 10. I would absolutely love to return on our next trip to Shanghai. Thank you to the entire team at The Ritz-Carlton for a truly wonderful stay, thanks ❤️

Waldorf Astoria has always held a special place in my heart as one of my favorite luxury hotels. My admiration for it began during my first visit to the Grand Brasserie for Sunday Brunch. The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was utterly captivated and amazed by its unparalleled grandeur, opulent design, and magnificent decor and furnishings. Even as a Shanghainese local, I can't resist a weekend stay here. I always opt for a full river-view room. In the morning, as the curtains gently open, with nothing to obstruct the view, I look down through the floor-to-ceiling windows to see the most vibrant S-bend of the Huangpu River extending into the distance. Looking up, the majestic cluster of skyscrapers in Pudong, including the iconic ”Four-Piece Set” (Lujiazui skyline), proudly stand tall. The landmark buildings of the Bund and prime river views are all laid out before you. At night, colorful sightseeing boats crisscross the river, and the buildings shimmer with vibrant, beautiful neon lights, creating a truly magnificent spectacle. The hotel's service is also exceptional. Coco, Eva, and Katrina, the wonderful staff from the exclusive concierge team, are incredibly warm and attentive. They proactively helped me with my luggage, personally escorted me to my room, and showed genuine care and concern. At the front desk, during check-in and check-out, even when busy with other guests, they would proactively engage with me, help me review my bill first, and minimize my waiting time. They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel completely at home, providing a wonderful and seamless experience.

The hotel upgraded our room to executive and it comes with dinner at their Chinese restaurant. However, we were unable to make it for dinner and they offered to change it to lunch. They sent our luggage up to the room while we enjoyed the lunch. Their services are excellent and they have a counter for parcel collection on behalf of the guest. Even if the parcel arrived earlier than the day we checked into the hotel, they will receive it on behalf based on the guest name. Excellent services! The bed is big and comfortable.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here, and it's always exceptional. I genuinely don't want to stay at any other hotel in Shanghai now! 😂 All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lady who assisted me with my check-out at 7 AM on August 22nd. ❤️ The lobby bar offers great drinks, and their seasonal menu is a delightful touch! The only 'downside' is that the beds are *so* incredibly comfortable that after all these stays, I still haven't managed to get myself to the gym in the mornings! 🤣 I also just discovered that Metro Line 7 goes directly to Longyang Road, and Exit 9 is right outside the hotel! This is absolutely perfect for someone like me who gets carsick and prefers taking the subway for airport transfers. 🥰 (And a bonus tip: even if you accidentally take the wrong line, you can exit from Line 2 at Reel Department Store, head to B1, and easily transfer to the Line 7 exit. Super convenient!)

The views were absolutely spectacular! The hotel boasts an excellent location, and the breakfast spread offered a wide variety of choices. My room was incredibly spacious, and the service throughout my stay was very attentive. A special mention goes to Lorna, whose meticulous and thoughtful service, including pre-arranging my room, made my check-in and overall stay exceptionally comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would absolutely choose Grand Hyatt Hotel again for my next visit.

Very cool designed hotel and love the design and indeed the stunning view of the Bund from the room. Had a long time deciding which hotel for bund views and definitely made a right choice! The breakfast was amazing- so many choices! Good quality. And the bar outside - wow again - great place to chill at night with the view. Also had dinner at Yen restaurant in the hotel - service is excellent and food is delicious. Happy that I could also order a cool cocktail collaboration they had with another cool place in Shanghai. Anyway shows W’s commitment to good design and lifestyle. Location of the hotel is great - short easy walk to the Bund and in the lovely - more chill neighbourhood of HongKou. Just next to mall with everything. Great stay! And yes love the very cute XLB and chopsticks plush in the room. Couldn’t stop admiring them :)

The room was quite spacious. The city view was decent, but a Bund view would have been much better – unfortunately, I couldn't book one. Driving to the hotel was a bit tricky. The lanes opposite the entrance are only marked for left and right turns, but you can actually drive straight in. Custom Le Labo travel toiletries: Not provided. Stylish shopping bag: Not provided. Service: All the staff were very pleasant. The staff member who helped with my luggage upon departure even thoughtfully directed me through the restaurant to avoid the midday sun.

I can't praise the butler team at The St. Regis Shanghai Bund enough! My stay happened to coincide with my birthday, and Amber, Boris, and Astrid from the butler team, upon learning this, went above and beyond with surprises: a warm, handwritten birthday card, a St. Regis signature teddy bear so adorable I couldn't bear to put it down, and a beautifully arranged petal bubble bath in the room – the ambiance was absolutely perfect. What was even more thoughtful was the custom room key cards and luggage tags they prepared, and Amber even gifted us her personal St. Regis signature pin to adorn the teddy bear! Every single detail felt incredibly thoughtful, truly showcasing their commitment to personalized service. Throughout my stay, any request was met with an instant and professional response from the butler team, leaving me feeling meticulously cared for. I truly want to commend their professionalism and genuine warmth once more!

Overall it was a pleasant stay ( we stayed in this hotel last year ). Location was very good as well as facility.  Front desk staff, some excellent, like Franck who was doing night shift the day  we checked in late at night, the door man was absent at the moment, Franck helped us with everything by himself, carrying heavy luggages to our rooms, as well as sending us all the  items we requested etc. some other staff was rather difficult, like one lady with glasses ( I don't know her name)  was being rather difficult when it comes to late check out since we had a late night  flight ( even though the rooms are vacant..). she quoted me a  higher rates then the actual official website, telling me the rooms are almost all rented out while I saw there were still many rooms that day on a few websites...  I did have air conditioning problem during the stay, had to wait almost an hour for the reparation....

## Worst Service Experience During a Stay My child and I were really looking forward to the city-view suite we booked, especially the hotel's location and views. However, any good impression vanished the moment we checked in. We arrived at the front desk around 4 PM on August 23rd. The female staff member who checked us in at the first counter was utterly devoid of a smile and barely responsive, only answering direct questions. She failed to proactively inform us about any of the suite's benefits, leaving me completely unaware of the executive lounge's location after we went upstairs. The package included afternoon tea, but upon inquiring, I was told it was only available on Saturday afternoons (even though the package details didn't specify any such restriction). By then, it was almost 5 PM and afternoon tea was nearly over. What was utterly unacceptable was that five or six threads on my clothes were broken during dry cleaning. Not only did the dry-cleaning staff fail to offer a sincere apology, they even insisted the threads were merely loose, not broken, before hastily mending my garment. As it was a knitted garment, the broken threads were initially concealed, making it difficult for me to notice immediately. However, I know they will eventually resurface. When checking out, I raised the issue with the front desk manager. Their response was merely to log the incident and advise me to contact them again if problems persisted, with absolutely no mention of compensation. I want to say, for a long-standing five-star hotel, slightly outdated facilities aren't necessarily a problem; there are many venerable hotels overseas. But the trust cultivated over time is what truly elevates their brand. However, with service worse than even a budget hotel, it's hard to see how Kempinski can survive in such fierce competition. The sole star for service goes to the reservations department and the executive lounge staff.
