The hotel’s location is great - near the Lime Street station and in shopping and eating places. Friendly and helpful staff. But the room is a bit old and rundown. The toilet flushing system should be improved. No fridge is provided in the room.

The hotel is clean, has got friendly staff, and in a good location. But it will be good if they get there own car park so guest don't have to pay for parking elsewhere.

We had a brilliant stay here. The room was spotless and spacious. There was a kitchenette with hob, microwave, sink and utensils. We didn't need this, but it would certainly be a bonus for some travellers. The breakfast included was excellent and the hotel was within easy walking distance from the city centre attractions (12 minutes walk to the Cavern Club and 17 minutes walk to Lime St Station). Next time we're in Liverpool we'll definitely stay there again.
Great hotel, located at the edge of Liverpool Port, in the center, with the Three Graces right outside. Most of the attractions here can be reached within half an hour's walk. The hotel facilities meet European five-star standards, and the service staff are very friendly, especially the old man at the door, who is dressed very gentlemanly with a smile. I will stay in this hotel next time I come to Liverpool!

My friend and I stayed at The Halyard Liverpool and absolutely loved the experience. The hotel is stylish and comfortable, and the staff were all so helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We also really appreciated the IHG member benefits, and we used the late checkout, which gave us extra time to relax before heading off.
The employees are very polite, especially the dining staff who are full of smiles.
The girl who runs the room is also very considerate.
The only drawback is that the swimming pool closes too early at 5:30 on Saturday, so there is no heating when changing clothes, and it is very cold.
Great service by reception staff, bar staff less accommodation, food n drinks overpriced.
But enjoyed our stay. Next time more use of bring yer own n eat out.
Buffet breakfast super, waffles my hi light
Staff where very friendly and helpful, breakfast here was continental breakfast and had a nice choice so I enjoyed my breakfast, other foods in local are has a really good variety and hotel was in a good place for site seeing and walks around Southport

GGuest UserCheck in was terrible with long queues even though we had used the online check in. Waiting for half an hour as each customer had to pay city tax and have all their details input into the computer and a wasteful A4 sheet of paperwork printed in another room, before being presented and stapled with door keys. During the wait there was a woman ranting and yelling at staff about her son who was accommodated in the hotel. She said that he was being allowed to **** ***** in his room. She was escorted out. Only one lift was working which was a pain as I have difficulty walking and was situated on the fifth floor. Lift stunk of ********. Hotel seemed to be accommodating a lot people that had unfortunately found themselves homeless. The room looked dated and the carpet was covered in burns from an iron. The bed was nice and comfortable and the linen was clean. The bathroom tiles were filthy with soap runs and greasy hands prints. Bathroom ceiling was covered in mould. Bathroom in desperate need of updating and deep cleaning. Bath was yellow with age and looked like it was installed when time began. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were adequate but the containers for the sachets of coffee and tea were very unclean and looked as if they are never rinsed out. There were cigarette burns and stains on the curtains. In general I was really disappointed. We had stayed here about 20 years ago and this is a beautiful hotel with chandeliers and grand decor downstairs. The place just looked neglected and run into the ground with minimal staff, very basic cleanliness and no recent refurbishment.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location for where we needed to go was excellent. This includes, the open top bus, Echo arena, central town with pubs, restaurants, etc and transport.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. Our room was spotless. The shower was a big walk-in one with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
We will definately stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.
TTakhisis4twMy favourite place to stay in Liverpool, and probably the whole of the UK. The spa is amazing and is true to the advertised pictures, in fact it's even better because they don't show off everything there! The rooms are spotless and so lovely, the staff are all super friendly and polite and cannot do enough to help. Treat yourself to an amazing high class experience for reasonable prices. The thermal journey is an absolute must.
SStephenFirst impression of the hotel was how clean and simplistic it was. Check in was relaxed at the front desk and I was directed to the lifts to find my room. Room was spacious and well designed with all the amenities required. Coffee machine was a lovely touch and easy to use. Bed was clean and comfortable and would highly recommend this hotel at that price.
AAaron BurkeAbsolutely amazing hotel, with amazing staff who are there to welcome you straight away and take care of you throughout your stay and top quality facilities to be used too,
Will definitely return !!
Thanks again!

GGuest UserReally enjoyed staying here. So central to city. Even though hotel was close to busy part of the city. No noise and slept peacefully. Room was a good size, clean and the kitchen area perfect for us. We didn't use the resturant for breakfast. Would definitely come back here in the future
GGuest UserI had a one night stay at Hanover Street L1 last night 27.5 and it was mostly really good - the room, cleanliness and breakfast and this made up for the problem I had using the swimming pool. I had booked this hotel because it has a pool but hadn't realised it was half term. Consequently, the pool was full of children the whole time I was there. I was only able to access the sauna and this is when I heard some kids laughing about making Sea Gas...a competition about who could fart most whilst underwater. Although I can see the humour in this, I did feel really disgusted and this confirmed that I could not use the pool at all, as well as the fact that it was constantly very loud and with no space to swim.
This lack of access will very much affect my future plans to stay there, even if it were school term time, I wouldn't come there on a weekend for this reason.
