Location was pretty perfect- walking distance from all major attractions and well connected to the airport. The room was spacious and clean and beds were comfortable. Hotel is quiet during night. The hotel garden is beautiful and staff are friendly. Cleaning service comes in every day which is pretty amazing. We would come back to new towels, water bottles and made up room every evening. While breakfast buffet is available and it looked pretty good i would have to suggest vegans to skip it since there aren’t that many options you can have.

Stayed 2 nights at the Gubei Wtown Resort. The resort is probably one of the larger resorts within the area of Gubei Watertown. Your coach or taxi will drop you at the Carpark (P2) outside the Watertown as no outside vehicles are allowed inside the Watertown. It is a short walk to the Visitor Centre where you can deposit your luggage and register for the hotel/resort/ boutique accommodation over here. Please note ”no drones” are allowed beyond this point. They will screen through every luggage. After which you can take the Watertown Shuttle to your resort which is only a couple of mins. If you have big luggage, they will send directly to the hotel you booked as well. The resort is beautiful a blend with ancient Chinese design with modern architecture. The room is immaculately adorned with traditional furniture, murals, artifacts and other traditional Chinese elements to exude the ancient town. It is very spacious too, truly luxurious! We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2, a dinner for 2, a spa (onsen) for 2, a handicraft experience either Kite making or lantern making for 1 and the Simatai Great Wall Ticket for 2 (hike up). There is a huge swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. Very under utilised. It is nice to have a swim after the Great Wall hike. In short, it is a very memorable stay the resort worth every penny of it.

t’s a nice hotel, clean and the room is comfortable. It’s a bit far from the subway, though. The hot spring pools aren’t included in the stay and require an extra fee. They’re also quite small and usually very crowded. Breakfast is limited to only Chinese dishes, most of which are quite spicy, with no other options available. No fruit was provided either, which was disappointing.

The room is clean and comfortable with amenities provided including an iron and ironing board although there was a faint stench of smoke even though staff at the reception counter claimed that the hotel is non-smoking and offered to change the room if necessary. 5-min to metro Line 8, Beishatan station and just a few bus-stops away from the Olympic Park. What I enjoyed most was having supper Alfresco at Ya-ao restaurant. The ambience is good and the BBQ trotters, squid and scallops were delicious. Adjoining the hotel is a Spa, 喜汤-生活馆. The entry ticket is 39RMB inclusive of a simple breakfast. I booked two massage packages at the spa on ******* and found the services passable. For those like me who wished to have a taste of the local spa culture could consider this.

Finally found a fairy hotel with zero worries for taking kids! Royal Plaza Xishan Garden Hotel directly understands parent-child vacation ~ As soon as you enter the lobby, a little sister will give you a doll, and the baby will hold it and refuse to let go! The children's playground is simply a paradise for letting go, with a big slide, role-playing, and staff taking you to do handicrafts. Finally, you can go and play with peace of mind. The service is very attentive, the room is warm and clean, the check-in efficiency is very high, and every staff member you meet in the hotel is warm and friendly. The breakfast is rich, the equipment and facilities are complete, the location is convenient, the travel is convenient, the breakfast is rich, and I will choose here next time I travel.

Loved this hotel. Great location with a view of the Great Wall from the beautiful pool. The room is really nice with a patio. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed both. Our stay included the park entrance fee and hot springs. We really liked walking around Watertown and had lunch at one of the shops. We took a cable car right before sunset to the Great Wall, and after a hike reached the Wall. It wasn't crowded and we spent quite a bit of time there before heading back down. At that point it was getting dark, and the lights on the Wall came on. Very beautiful sight, and we got great pictures. I would love to come back to this hotel and area again when we have more time.

The room is very clean and the waiters are polite. The breakfast restaurant seems to be contracted out. It is not up to the standard of a professional restaurant. Both in terms of hygiene and service staff. The apples and pears are black and oxidized. They are basically inedible. The coffee beans are sour and bitter. If you can't afford better coffee beans, you can actually skip the coffee machine. The bean sprout fried chives are delicious. The chef's skills are recognized, but the management is average.

The boss was very good. I asked him on WeChat if a double room would provide two quilts. He directly arranged a standard room for me and gave me two beds 🛏️, which was very awesome. Although we didn't arrive until 10pm on the 28th, we were still escorted to check in by staff and had to take a photo of our ID card and upload it, because the Public Security Bureau has strict management. Facilities: The kitchen and bathroom are complete, but there is no place to put clothes, so they can only be piled in front of the TV. The socket switches are blocked behind the bed. Hygiene: Average, the bed may not have been cleaned. Environment: The space is a bit too small, maybe the original design was for one bed, the aisle is also narrow, after coming here so many times, this room and the windowsill outside are the smallest. Service: The service attitude is particularly good 👌🏻 There is a convenience store nearby. The sandwiches are not delicious, but the vegetable salad is good. Remember to buy salad dressing separately. There is nothing wrong with Dianbing Dianjiang except that it is a bit expensive. The beef noodles for 38 are delicious😋

It’s was really nice stay at XishannHot spring hotel, there a lot of things to do for families. It was me, my wife, our two kids of 7 years old. Beside the many swimming pools they have two indoor parks and many activities going on almost 24h! It was a really nice stay! Hotel was clean, the food was good, good organized and room well maintained! There are two things I think could be better, first is the food menu is 100% Chinese, so no western options, I think they could have some options to make easy for western kids and families. And second is the fact that all instructions and all staff speak only Chinese, so I think they should at least translate all instructions at hotel, swimming pool, indoor parks to English, these would make the stay even better!

Exceptional Luxury and Service at The St. Regis Beijing My recent stay at The St. Regis Beijing was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the signature St. Regis service that truly sets this hotel apart. The location is ideal, situated in the heart of Beijing’s diplomatic and cultural district, providing easy access to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and high-end shopping areas. Despite being in the center of the city, the hotel offers a serene escape from the bustling streets. The rooms and suites are exquisitely designed, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. The plush bedding, luxurious furnishings, and well-appointed amenities made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the room decor and the stunning city views further enhanced the experience. One of the standout features of The St. Regis Beijing is its legendary butler service. Available 24/7, the butlers are attentive and always ready to assist with anything from unpacking luggage to arranging personalized experiences. Their professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction are truly remarkable. The dining options are equally impressive. Breakfast at The Garden Court offered a delightful selection of both Western and Chinese delicacies, while Celestial Court serves some of the finest Cantonese cuisine in the city. The St. Regis Bar is a must-visit, offering the signature St. Regis Bloody Mary with a unique Beijing twist. Overall, The St. Regis Beijing is an outstanding hotel that combines timeless luxury with modern convenience. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this property offers an unparalleled level of comfort and service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly refined experience in Beijing.

QQuin56Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

GGuest UserThe room environment is very good, the service is especially considerate and thoughtful, and the stay is very comfortable. The surrounding Panlongshan Great Wall is also worth visiting, and it is a completely different experience from climbing the repaired Great Wall such as Badaling. This itinerary experience is particularly good, and I will go there often.

GGuest UserWe had an amazing staycation at this hotspring resort. I was very impressed with the customer service we recieved. Everyone was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help. The staff has clearly had 5 star training. I would like to make particular note of Mr. Lee at the front desk. Upon check-in, he served us and acknowledged that not all the staff spoke English and that we should contact him directly over Wechat if we needed anything. On several occassions I contacted him and he was prompt and curtious. He was a great ambassador for the hotel. For example, room service forgot chicken on on salad, and he promptly pologized and arranged for two new compelmentary salads to be sent (i believe this was an oversight as the hotel was very busy with a special chiristmas dinner that night). It is common in Beijing for hotel staff not to speak English, however we did found several memebers of staff that did. For example. when we went to the dining hall, they sent an English speaker over to help us. Further, the dining hall manager checked in with us and personally cleared plates away. Buffet breakfast was above average with western and chinese food. Also, when ordering room service, though they did not speak English, they sent someone to our room with a menu so that we could point to the items we wanted. Overall, the hotel is new and to Western standards of cleanliness and quality. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We were with my 2 month old baby and my 85 year old father, all generations enjoyed our time. The hot springs were very clean (not always the case in China) and they were alongside swimming pools with kids climbing apparatice and water ball pit. It was also nice that there were complementary refreshments (snacks and drinks) at the hot springs. In the winter air, the outdoor hotsprings were great. Finally., though it wasnt a huge attraction, its nice to see the lammas, chicken and horses. Overall, I could not recommend this place more. I will defintely stay again.

HHongyuexingxiThe room was clean, and the balcony overlooked the lake, creating a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The staff specially brought us delicious welcome fruit. The water in the spa was also very clean, with several small hot spring pools. The children's pool had ocean balls floating in it, and there was a water slide and duck boat rides. There was a large swimming pool in the center, with the water temperature being just right, not too cold. The service at the spa was excellent, and each locker was stocked with towels, slippers, hangers, plastic bags, and a bottle of mineral water, which was a thoughtful touch. I had a wonderful weekend there.

CCarolineYMWe just stayed at the Mumanyu villa at Brickyard and it was perfect in every way. First the location is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall and the hotel has a van and they will drive you. The hotel has a western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant both were fantastic. We had a nice buffet breakfast but you can also have breakfast in your villa if preferred. The grounds are awesome and very clean with lots of interesting art and furniture for lounging and relaxing. There was an art museum that we visited as well on the property. They have a spa and sauna and masseuse - we wanted to experience it all but didn’t stay long enough. The staff are exceptionally nice and we especially loved the manager, Stanley. He helped us with so many arrangements and made our stay a dream come true. We went to the wall multiple times and he arranged cars and reservations and a shuttle to and from Beijing. This property is one of a kind with the houses all in the village and the property is unique and very special. I will be back for sure and will tell everyone I know to come here. You will not be disappointed. Stanley will take care of you as will the whole staff. His English is perfect if you need any help navigating. GGuest UserThe time spent at the Grand Bay Beijing Hotel was simply fabulous. I am a very experienced traveler and have been to dozens of countries, but I can confidently say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Every area here is thought out: a high-tech room of impeccable cleanliness with a pillow menu to choose from and 6 lighting options. Excellent dietary cuisine in the restaurant and a huge selection of dishes for breakfast. Very polite and customer-oriented attentive staff, they helped me with absolutely all my requests! But, of course, the highlight of the hotel is the impressive healing Ayurvedic center! The Head of the center, Dr. Balan is an experienced Ayurveda guru, with a tailored comprehensive program and the center's team, helped me restore my nervous system, restore immunity, and diagnose a chronic ailment that affected my quality of life, and all this just in 6 days! I mostly recommend this hotel to tired, overloaded residents of megacities, here you will simply find yourself in paradise! I will definitely come back more than once, huge thanks to the management and staff of the Grand Bay Beijing Hotel, who created this island of peace and relaxation on earth

BblueberylMagical place that we wanna visit again!!! The staff were very helpful throughout the stay. Place was spacious, clean and neat, bed was comfortable, which was important for travellers to rest adequately 🤗 at night we could even see the clear starry sky and did Stargazing at the courtyard. The breakfast was beautifuly presented and delicious too. The cafe visit is a must. There was a mini farmyard there where there were 3 goats that guests were freely playing with and touching. The setup and deco were so beautiful that you will end up spending hours there taking pictures or admiring the views. Many locals seem to visit the cafe for the food and beautiful aesthetics as well. The coffee were beautifully presented - and I didn't expect they will taste so good! The mix were refreshing and simply awesome. Location was very ideal too. Convenient to the Great wall entrance - took about 5min by taxi. Overall happy with my stay here, and I'd definitely recommend it to all travellers! This is the best place we've stayed in our trip to Beijing. Simply beautiful and magical.
