11381004****This is our child's favorite hotel! Everything is excellent, and our butler, Luna, is the best. Every time we visit, she proactively reaches out to understand our needs, and the room is always perfectly prepared before we arrive. Any issues we have, Luna can fix. The two nannies at the kids' club are diligent, responsible, warm, and attentive. They take care of every little detail for the children in their care, allowing parents to enjoy their free time with peace of mind.

DdeedubliewWe arrived very early in the morning, and the team kindly arranged an early check-in for us along with a complimentary breakfast—an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture.. The staff exceeded our expectations with their warm hospitality and attentiveness. A special shout-out to Nitin, who took the time to give us a tour of the property, ensured we enjoyed the complimentary art activity and manicure, and recommended some fantastic local eateries nearby. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the property itself is beautifully designed and incredibly relaxing. The complimentary shuttle to the Mutianyu Great Wall entrance was efficient and very convenient, making our trip effortless. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and I would highly recommend Brickyard Retreat to anyone visiting the area

MM24821****We took our children and elderly family to Huairou on a weekday to escape the summer heat. We chose Jiangyu B&B blindly and ended up having a quiet and refreshing little getaway. The hostess was very welcoming and thoughtful. The environment is also excellent. The B&B itself is located on a high point in the village, offering unparalleled views and a very quiet environment. The surrounding amenities are also excellent, including my favorite restaurants and cafes. We've already made plans to stay again in the fall.

LLaogandaixiaoganMy family and I have been visiting for nearly a decade now – my child was just a little girl when we first started coming here! Our experience earlier this year was particularly good. The rooms were pleasantly scented, clean, and tidy. The overall package, including the hot springs, swimming, fitness facilities, and buffet breakfast, offered excellent value for money. The hot spring experience this time was exceptionally good, with great attention to detail. It was evident that the hotel places great importance on the water quality and environment in the hot springs area. We're particularly grateful to Manager Wang Fang, who oversees the hot springs. Her service is consistently excellent each year, always warm and personally attentive. The breakfast, as always, was incredibly rich, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western options. We hope the prices remain affordable during the winter peak season, especially for loyal, returning guests like us.

BbobociciThis is our second stay at Duan's Courtyard, and I heard they changed the name. The room decor is still the same as before, and it's very well-maintained. Even after so many years, the facilities still feel new. The front desk staff and restaurant service were both very nice. We stayed in the Family A room, which was clean and tidy. The location is also very convenient, being the closest to the Great Wall. Plus, as soon as you step outside, you can see lots of cute little cats, which is delightful.

WwenwenbaoThis was my second time staying here. The hotel environment is fantastic, and the staff are very friendly. The food is excellent. The private hot springs are a highlight, and the public hot springs are also very nice. We happened to catch the Gubei drone show, which was amazing – my little one couldn't get enough of it. Sukiyaki for three: I honestly think it's enough for two people, haha. Maybe I just eat a lot, but for 3 adults + 1 small child, it felt a bit tight. Complimentary afternoon tea: To be honest, for a hotel of this caliber, offering this kind of dessert really cheapens the experience. It tasted artificial, like pure saccharin, and was inedible. I'd rather they just gave me a packet of biscuits; I'd find that better. DIY craft activity: They just gave us a coloring toy to color on our own; there was no organized activity for the kids to do together. There's no need to pay extra for this activity.

LLiqiThis hotel is beautiful and high-class, and the rooms are very spacious. Each room has both a bathtub and a shower, and the toiletries are excellent. Whether you're relaxing in your room watching TV or heading to the ground floor for the hot spring and swimming pool (a comfortable 25-meter pool with 31-degree water, indoor and outdoor hot springs, and complimentary snacks and drinks...), there's plenty to do. Outdoors, there's an adventure park with go-karts, alpaca feeding, and horseback riding – all great options for a holiday. The hotel has both Chinese and Western restaurants. During the holiday, the Chinese restaurant offered a few quick options as well as à la carte, and the Western restaurant served a seafood buffet for dinner. The food was delicious, with a wide variety for both breakfast and dinner, and the desserts were incredibly beautiful. The hotel service was excellent; the front desk staff were incredibly responsible and patiently answered all questions. The hot spring front desk staff were also consistently good; even before the name change, they were always enthusiastic and helpful in coordinating any issues (all the staff in the hot spring area were also warm, polite, thoughtful, and meticulous). It seems that whether it's a holiday or not, I've always received a welcome fruit platter and a white fungus and pear afternoon tea, which is a very thoughtful touch. This time, they even gave my child a small gift when we left, which was very touching. The room packages include meals or hot spring tickets, and hotel guests get a discount if they want to purchase the buffet or hot springs separately. It's a very welcoming hotel.

QQuin56Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

KKeleweidedashaziHaving spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building. Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need. Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable. While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. This unforgettable St. Regis experience will forever be etched in my memory. I look forward to returning on August 25, 2025. My sincerest thanks once again to The St. Regis Hotel for everything.

TTandianxiaoerThis hotel is geared towards families with children, and most guests are here with their kids. The beds in the rooms are a bit high, which isn't safe for small children getting in and out, and there are no carpets. Also, the steps next to the bathtub have several sharp corners that really should have protective corner guards for safety. On top of that, the air conditioning didn't blow any hot air at all, even after running it all night. The room temperature simply wasn't warm enough for bathing a baby. And when I checked out, they didn't immediately inform me about items I'd left in the room – in fact, they didn't tell me at all. I only realized I'd left something after I got home and was looking for it. It seems they only retrieve forgotten items if the guest remembers and contacts them. I really wonder if this is the standard for five-star hotels these days?
