During the New Year's Day holiday, the hotel was swarming with guests. We arrived at 1 PM but couldn't check into our room until 3:30 PM. They initially said the room wasn't ready, but it turned out the direct drinking water system was broken, and maintenance staff were working on it. Even after we got into the room, it still wasn't fixed, so the hotel provided us with plenty of bottled water instead. The room facilities themselves were quite good. However, the hotel's exterior was very dirty and poorly maintained, which unfortunately detracted from the overall check-in experience. The hotel mattress was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bedding was also just right – not too thick, not too thin – so even with the air conditioning on, it felt pleasant. 👍 We went for breakfast past 8 AM and were surprised to find a very long queue. Luckily, everyone lined up in an orderly fashion. Improving service is key; while the hardware is good, the software (service) needs to be even better.

We stayed in a family room with two large beds. The bathroom included a hot spring tub, and upon check-in, we received a water card to control the water temperature ourselves if we wanted to fill it up. Check-in and breakfast are located in Building 1. Indoor and outdoor hot springs, the hot pot restaurant, and a mini-mart are in Building 2. Our room was in Building 3. There are children's play areas dotted around the resort. Behind Building 1, there's a large lawn where you can feed sheep, rabbits, and peacocks. The outdoor facilities are great for kids, but the hot springs themselves aren't particularly special. For dining, besides breakfast, both lunch and dinner need to be eaten in Building 2, which offers Chinese food and hot pot. Otherwise, you'll have to drive out to find other dining options.

The room is quite spacious, and the private hot spring area is also great – just perfect for two people, very comfortable. The butler was very thoughtful, contacting us in advance to discuss check-in details. There's an afternoon tea every day with refreshing drinks, which shows great care. For breakfast, you get a voucher and can choose between wontons or lamb noodles, which was a really nice experience. They even have you change into slippers upon check-in, ensuring cleanliness! Recommended: Five stars~

Pros: 1. Newly opened, but odor-free. 2. The private hot spring room is very well laid out, with three separate rooms that don't interfere with each other. 3. The hotel staff are very polite in person. Room service is always responsive. After our first day, we returned to the hotel at 10 PM and wanted to use the private hot spring. I noticed some water stains in the pool, worried it wasn't clean, so I asked for it to be disinfected right away. They were very diligent and came, which is a huge credit. 4. The room was equipped with a Toto smart toilet, a Panasonic hair dryer, a capsule coffee machine, and drinking water, including four cans of VOSS and two bottles of Nongfu Spring. If the water wasn't enough, we could refill it with Nongfu Spring. 5. The soup is supposedly real, not boiler water, and it's very slippery after a soak. The outdoor hot spring automatically drains at 10 PM every night and automatically fills in the morning. 6. The travel photography lady who provided the service was very professional. 7. Generous! I asked if we could add breakfast for the children, and they readily agreed. Overall, staying in such a new and established hotel in Zhoushan, a city known for its high prices, was quite good during the summer vacation. However, there are some shortcomings that I would like to mention. In particular, the hospitality was superficial, with more formality than substance. For example: 1. I contacted them the night before check-in and specifically inquired about our check-in staff. I also made it clear that I didn't need children's amenities, as I have teenagers. However, upon check-in, the room still had children's amenities, no men's slippers, and no third bath towel or robe. Considering the phone call the night before, this is unacceptable and should have been avoided. 2. In a similar situation, they called me the night before and left their WeChat number, saying they would add me and provide guidance and assistance. In the end, they didn't even offer to add me until I checked in the next day. It would have been better not to mention this service. 3. I haven't encountered a hotel that requires a deposit in a while. It's no big deal if they do. When I checked out, they said we would return the same day by the same route. The next day, I remembered and checked, but there wasn't any. I asked again, and they refunded it. What if I hadn't forgotten to check? 4. The package includes a complimentary mini bar each day. Upon check-in, I was verbally informed that only four items were free; the rest were charged. After check-in, I discovered there were no signs distinguishing the items that were charged, and I hadn't even remembered the verbal notification. I called room service twice before I finally understood. I asked if the Coke and Sprite in the mini bar could be replaced with sparkling water the next day, and they said they would note it. However, not only was there no replacement, but when I returned home after a day of fun, not a single bottle was refilled, forcing me to order more. Two other drawbacks are worth mentioning. 1. The breakfast had a wide variety, but the taste was lackluster. On the first day, everything we tried was a complete failure, and on the second day, we mostly just had porridge and watermelon. The afternoon tea was similarly beautiful, but not very tasty. 2. The bed was too small. The 1.2-meter bed couldn't be moved. While everything else was very user-friendly, this particular point was hard to understand. Aren't twin beds in hotels of this caliber typically 1.35 meters? Even if you have a 1.2-meter bed, it should be possible to move the beds together. This is something to consider carefully for a family of three.

There is a private parking lot. The rooms are very clean. The family bed is large enough. The guesthouse manager is very patient. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but everything is good. It's very close to the Panda Village. The shuttle bus from Cloud Grassland conveniently stops at the slope in front of the guesthouse, making it easy to get back.

I came to Qiandao Lake for the weekend and stayed at this lakeside B&B. We are a family of four traveling with a baby, and we chose an 80-square-meter room. The interior is very spacious and tidy, just like the photos taken by the merchant. Children love the large floor-to-ceiling windows and the long bay windows. I loved the little touches like the lighted mirror and Dyson hair dryer, and the electric curtains. The butlers Xiao Tao and Xiao Song provide meticulous and thoughtful service. The breakfast was also very rich, and the aunt who prepared the meal was very considerate and asked us if we were full. They also gave us souvenirs before leaving. It was a very pleasant stay experience😊

I am quite satisfied with this hotel, and the emotional value is full. Although the room is not particularly large, the layout is very good, there is a bathtub, the hair dryer in the room is also very good, especially the water dispenser, not the kind of kettle, is the kind of bottled water, you can see very carefully. The hotel's service attitude is super good, will help you send your luggage to the room, the minibar food is also branded, Ahuatian cake, canned seaweed, oriental leaves, etc., the fruit is super sweet in the afternoon, and the souvenir Shaoxing yellow wine is also sent. The room ”Lu Xun's Shaoxing” allows tourists to better understand Shaoxing. Although there are not many breakfast styles in the hotel, the taste is not bad. The location of the hotel is excellent, directly from Cangqiao, very close to Lu Xun's hometown. I never write reviews, but this hotel really recommends it. If you come to Shaoxing next time, you will stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The room design is gorgeous, we had a loft room that felt very authentic and stylish. The whole place is so tranquil and nestled in nature. Highlights for us were the unique Chinese breakfast and the unbeatable location right next to Shuanglong Cave (which is incredible by the way; and do not get intimidated by the queue, the cave entry process is very organized). The staff went above and beyond, even helping ALL GUESTS get tickets so they skipped the queue! They were incredibly attentive to all guests’ needs over WeChat, which we really respected. We also received free tickets to various attractions including to the cave. The in-bathroom onsen was also a fantastic touch. A couple of small things to be aware of: 1. The bathroom sliding doors in our room weren’t very smooth to open and close. 2. The toilet (and I mean the toilet bowl, not the toilet room/bathroom) is really close to the bed (less than a meter), which might be awkward if you're a shy blader. 3. If you're driving, the GPS can take you on some nightmarishly narrow village roads (barely wide enough for one car!). Just a heads-up, though this isn't the hotel's fault. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return. A solid 9/10 from us!

First of all, the room is quite big and has a private hot spring. The environment is very quiet and it is quite comfortable to take a bath, but I also want to complain. The service of the housekeeper is extremely inadequate. I added WeChat in advance and just told me on WeChat when and where to have breakfast. After checking in, no one took the villa with us. We took our bags and went to find the room. We drove by ourselves, and they didn't tell us that we had to go to the front desk to enter the license plate number for free parking. I still listened to other housekeepers and guests before asking. My housekeeper told me to ask the front desk to enter it. At that time, I had left the front desk to go to the room. After entering the room, the private hot spring in the courtyard was full of water. I didn't understand whether it was left by the previous batch or the new water. In short, the housekeeper service is really a mess. Let the guests figure it out by themselves. I simply don't want to talk about housekeepers. Let the guests figure it out by themselves. I have almost stayed in all the high-end hotels in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. This is the first time I have encountered such poor housekeeper service. I won't go again next time, haha

InterContinental Qiandao Lake is quite famous, but my recent stay felt pretty average, nothing particularly exciting. The room views are lovely, but then again, many hotels in Qiandao Lake offer great views. Its advantage lies in being on Xian Shan Peninsula, which allows for hiking. The downside is the 10km winding mountain road to get there, and the only nearby restaurant is extremely overpriced. The hotel's own strawberry farm grows delicious strawberries, located in the botanical garden. The public areas of the hotel are grand, but they do show their age. On a cloudy day, the lighting can be a bit dim. In the rooms, it's clear the occupancy rate must be very high, as they look a bit worn for the time the hotel has been open. The service, however, deserves full marks. The restaurant staff were exceptionally attentive, very friendly, warm, and highly professional. But when considering the overall service experience, compared to the incredibly competitive hotel industry in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai regions, and other hotels I stayed at in Qiandao Lake this trip, it was somewhat disappointing. For instance, compared to the VOCO Qiandao Lake, part of the same group, where the daily rate was less than half, the service experience felt superior. The breakfast was excellent, very thoughtfully prepared, and very kid-friendly, with many options suitable for children. Both the variety and taste were spot on. Overall, InterContinental Qiandao Lake is good, but with its reputation of 'there's only InterContinental and other hotels in Qiandao Lake,' it seems to be feeling the pressure at the top. With its competitors being so outstanding, it really needs to step up its game.

MM702023****A big thank you to the butler and hotel staff! From the delightful room upgrade upon check-in to the thoughtful and attentive butler service throughout our stay, every detail made us feel incredibly welcome. The butler was both professional and friendly, always there when we needed something, yet also providing us with ample personal space—the service balance was just perfect. The hotel's location is also ideal for families; our child's highlight every day was visiting the squirrel park downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and the commute was convenient. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and look forward to our next visit!

GGuest UserTravelers beware! The photos advertising Ke Gamer do not resemble to actual room and the food is horrible. I opted to upgrade to the private hot spring villa for close to 4000rmb a night expecting a high class experience but was instead highly disappointed! We arrived on a Saturday and reserved a table at the restaurant, famished from traveling and expecting a wonderful meal. They did not mention that this was a set menu (only for the package that was included with the room) so there was no option to select my dishes nor to explain our gluten free diet. First bread came (couldn’t eat it, gluten) then a mushroom chicken soup that was difficult to swallow. Over salted and the chicken was rubbery. Then came there version of a kimchi that was ok. Shrimp next that was battered (gluten) and smothered in mayonnaise, and then an over salted spicy beef dish and inedible veggies dish.At this point we decided to leave and opted instead to pay for food delivery. When we shared this information with the assistant helping us he messaged me saying you are a foreigner would you prefer chicken wings or a steak. I’ve been living in China 10 years and never spoken to so rudely. My gf then wanted to have a soak in the hot spring and have a fire because the rain had stopped but she was told no they could not do this for us that night. That’s when I added the wechat and she deleted him so she would no longer have to talk to someone so rude. We did find it strange that even though I was now in communication with him he still attempted to friend my gf several times, very disrespectful!! After I explained how unsatisfactory the service was to that point he made more of an effort and we did get to enjoy a relaxing evening outside. The next day we stayed away from the restaurant not wanting to have that experience again so ordered delivery service again, decent food for delivery. We did attempt the on site restaurant one more time before checking out for breakfast and this was awful as well. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. They did have a nice assortment of breads which we could not eat (gluten) so we had a yogurt container and coffee before leaving. One part of the stay was an assistant driving us into town to a nice tea shop. He took us tot he location and offered to help us select a shop. He was very friendly and helpful inside the shop to explain the differences in teas and get us a good deal. We ended up purchasing 2 boxes of tea to take home. Overall I did not enjoy the stay at this overpriced and falsely advertised hotel. This is certainly one case when we did not get what we paid for. Wishing you better luck than we had.

BB_inCXianhua Sandalwood International Hotel Rating: ★★★★☆ We recently stayed at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel during the national holiday in China, and overall, our experience was quite enjoyable. Here’s a breakdown of our stay: **Location: 浦江仙华檀宫国际度假酒店 **Check-In Experience:**   We arrived at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted us warmly and provided all the necessary information about our stay. However, the English was limited, but at least it was smooth and no hassles.   **Room Comfort:**   Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We appreciated the comfortable king sized bed, view, huge bathtub, cleanliness, and spaciousness. However, as a coffee lover, there was only one serving of coffee, so when we woke up the next morning I was quite upset that only myself was able to enjoy an early morning coffee. Nevertheless, it was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. **Facilities:**   The hotel offered various facilities that enhanced our stay. We particularly enjoyed facilities like a fitness center, indoor pool, hot springs, table tennis and the pool table. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a mix of local and international cuisine. **Service:**   The staff was exceptional. They were always available and eager to assist with any requests. Their friendly approach made our stay even more pleasant. The front desk manager Kang was super friendly and arranged for the coffee bar to open earlier the day we checked out. **Room for Improvement:**   While our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. We traveled with our 7 month old daughter and the noise and maintenance were quite unpleasant. However, these didn’t detract significantly from our enjoyment. **Final Thoughts:**   This international hotel is just a few minutes' drive from the city, offering a serene escape with a beautiful exterior. Guests are welcomed by a picturesque fish pond, vibrant gardens, playful rabbits, and a designated play area for kids, making it an ideal family-friendly destination.  In addition to comfortable accommodations and expected amenities, the hotel provides a relaxing environment for guests of all ages. Would we return? Absolutely!

GGuest UserI booked the room in advance through Ctrip. The butler confirmed the booking a day prior and added me on WeChat. Ada, who was lovely, was very thoughtful and informed me about everything I needed to know. On the first day, everyone from the security guard at the entrance to the front desk staff was very welcoming. I enjoyed the hot springs, where the staff were enthusiastic, though the facilities were just average. For dinner, I tried the fish head soup at a nearby restaurant called Yugongguan, which was incredibly fresh and delicious. On the second day, we visited Beer Town, saw the lighthouse, and rode go-karts. In the afternoon, we took a helicopter ride. In the evening, we borrowed a four-person bike for a night cycling tour. On the third day, we went to Tianyu Mountain, going up by elevator and down the water slide, which was super fun! In the afternoon, we visited Ideal Garden, walked the dog, and rode a hot air balloon. The staff there were very nice. Also, the cleaning lady was very diligent and responsible. Every time we returned to the room, it was spotless. Breakfast was decent; it was clean and tasty, which was good. Finally, I'd like to thank our butler, Ada, again for her meticulous and thoughtful service, which made the entire trip comfortable and reassuring. 🌹

BBeibeixiaobeiEverything was excellent – the facilities, service, food, and activity arrangements. We had so many activities planned during our 3-day, 2-night stay that we couldn't even get to them all, so we'll definitely be back next time! Our three-year-old even kept talking about how much she missed the hotel at night. The only thing is, Japanese-style hotels really set a high bar for meticulous cleanliness. It would be great if they could strengthen their attention to detail in terms of hygiene even further.

XXidan123Two days in advance, I added the housekeeper's WeChat and booked the meal and hot spring time. It is more convenient to drive there. After locating their parking lot, a housekeeper will pick us up to check in at the B&B. The room is still clean as a whole, with everything it should have. The welcome fruits and flowers are still very warm. There is only a window on the top to watch the starry sky. The glass is a little dirty after a long time, but it doesn't affect it at night. After that, we walked around. The content of the B&B is still very complete, with a large room for dinner, facilities for children to play, hot springs and swimming pools, and places to read and drink tea. Walking out of the B&B, the village is peaceful and quiet. Walk around and feel the environment and culture of Maoao Village. I made an appointment for dinner and hot springs in the evening at the B&B. Because it is a reservation system, it is equivalent to a private soup, which feels good. Half an hour is completely enough. The dinner tastes good, and the chef gives a good review. The above.

The hotel's Chinese restaurant for dinner is not expensive, there is a small zoo and horse riding 😀. The lawn is very large and suitable for outdoor. The hotel is very large, and there are many places such as the wine cellar that I don't have time to visit because I have a baby. I will come again next time.

GGuest UserThe geographical location is excellent. It is very convenient to go to Qiandao Lake Botanical Garden, Tianyu Mountain, and the central pier. The hotel has a Chinese restaurant where you can order food. There is also a hotel opposite, which is convenient for eating and staying. The hotel has a special recreation center for children to play, and you can also go to Huaguoshan to see small animals. The children like swimming, so we also went to the indoor swimming pool. It is very large overall, with complete facilities and equipment. There is also a butler service when you check in. Xiao Zhang responds promptly. I will choose it next time!

LLaowaiBridgeConclusion: overall great relaxing glamping experience but lack a couple of things. I rate it 7.5/10, I would definitely recommend any laowai to go. also pet friendly as some people brought their pets. we stayed for 2 nights over the weekend during plum rain season and it was perfect sleeping under the rain pitter patter. The glamping site also have a pool and a small kids playground (nothing fancy). we stayed on a 2 bedroom tent connected by a tunnel. Food option: breakfast is provided, I'm not sure if the establishment can also provide food for lunch or dinner, but I see some people also buy what appears to be waimai, but we brought our own food and cooked on the deck under the cover with a butane stove, it was great! Activities; the site also have different activities like SUP, horse riding (with a 3rd party) and bonfire, but we didn't do it. we just walked around the site and found that it's part of a greater archeological city tourism site being GE set up. Negative: The only downsides were our tent had a bathtub but it wasn't working, the window doesn't have a block out cover and the surrounding area had some street lights to light up the tent area so some lights still get through, and some people also play loud music(since it's a tent it's not sound proof, but this can't be controlled)
