This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. Location is superb with easy access to subway station, Nanjing Rd walking street, restaurants, shopping malls, to the Bund & more. We stayed at the family room with breakfast for 3 adults and it was spacious enough for 3. Breakfast spread is very good from western to local - yummy!
Our room includes the access to the executive lounge which was very nice - had afternoon and even drinks and snacks there.
We enjoyed the gym very much, it was a properly equipped one with a super cute and friendly cat that comes in every now and then to say hello. The best gym mascot every :-)

I was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service and spotless cleanliness. From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly stood out.
What really made the difference was the staff's responsiveness and kindness. Whether it was a simple request or a question about local recommendations, they were always eager to help with a smile. Their robot delivers online food orders and was a hit with my daughter!
They even kept my Taobao orders a day in advance of my stay and kept it safe in their storage room. I really appreciated this!
We were super close to the Pedestrian street, getting a Didi or taking the subway was also very convenient! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Shanghai!

It was amazing experience for us. We’ve traveled so many places around the world, this hotel was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We only stayed for 3 nights for Christmas, it’s holiday season, everything so beautiful. Great location and services, it was above my expectations except for the foods.
When I booked, it didn’t include breakfast, we had to pay extra fees for it. Honestly, it’s okay to try, but not worthy （If you get it free, that’s awesome). Lots of selection, but wasn’t what I expected. It’s pricey, over $500 RMB for 2 one time only.
Overall it’s perfect, I would stay there again when I visit Shanghai.

very covenient & cozy! although it's a small-sized hotel, the room i stayed is pretty spacious. beside the hotel is family mart and right across is luckin coffee. a 10 mins walk to the nanjing rd as well as metro station. it's a little hard to navigate at first because there are so many exits but! tip: to exit from exit 1, climb the stairs down, walk through the underpass, climb stairs up again, turn right, you will see far east hotel, turn left, once you see luckin the hotel is right across.

The hotel is at very good location, within a couple minutes walk to The Bund. The hotel’s exterior is a bit old but interior is recently renovated. Daily breakfast is okay, typical Chinese cuisine breakfast. We checked in as a big group so the front desk took a bit of time to check us in given Chinese gov requirements for foreigner guests upon staying in at hotels. But they were super accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!

The hotel’s location and view were excellent—particularly if you choose one of the Bund or river view rooms. However, there was a construction site directly in front of the hotel, and the noise was quite disruptive; I could clearly hear it from the 23rd floor, and it kept me awake from early morning.
The Vue rooftop bar is lovely—arguably one of the nicest in Shanghai along the rooftop at Bund 18.
The staff had a somewhat aloof demeanour, and only a few spoke English, so communication often required the use of a translation app. The room quality was fairly standard—nothing luxurious—but the price was reasonable compared to other luxury hotels along the Bund. That said, the service level was noticeably below that of places like the Fairmont or Waldorf Astoria, both of which are more centrally located in the heart of the Bund, near Nanjing Road, the famous 2km shopping street. Of course, the Bund-view rooms at those hotels come at a much steeper price.
The gym was quite basic—functional but nothing special—and the indoor pool was similarly standard, so don’t expect luxury in those areas.
I used Didi to get around, and the hotel’s location was very convenient in that regard. If I find a good deal with one of the true luxury brands, I’d probably opt for that instead. However, I wouldn’t rule out returning to the Hyatt on the Bund—it’s a decent option if it fits your budget.
I didn’t try the breakfast, as there are plenty of great cafés and coffee shops in Shanghai.

The room was much older than expected and looked very worn. For the amount we paid I expected the room to at least be more presentable. It did not look like the hotel photos anymore. There was also no conditioner provided, nor body lotion, just shampoo, body wash and hand soap. Toothbrushes can be picked up from the reception. Plug points require a lot of strength to insert, and plugs need to be inserted at an angle. Had to get help to put in our plugs.
That being said, our 2nd floor service ladies were prompt and helpful. The room was also as big as you see in the photos. Bed was comfortable, check in was efficient, breakfast noodles were great. Added on for additional breakfast for 2 nights and extended the room to 2pm check out for 99Y. We were on the 2nd floor close to the lift and there was noise until around 10+pm but other than that it was bearable. The breakfast was also on the 2nd floor.
Location was also great. 5-7min walk straight to the Bund. On this street you can easily see the oriental Pearl tower once you exit the hotel. Nanjing East (Huawei showroom & Daimaru) is right behind the hotel. Manner Coffee and Chagee are both 1 street away (in opposite directions). DIDI can easily pick/drop u off in front of the hotel. It was the weekend and we did not experience any road closures. The hotel is also next door to a branch of a famous crab restaurant chenglonghangxie. Lailaixiaolong, animate, shendacheng are all within walking distance. While we were there, there were 2 separate filmings happening over 2 days. Easy enough to get to Pudong as well. Overall enjoyed our stay, but wish the room was not so worn out.

Staff ok. Reasonable English and willing to help. Hotel and rooms are clean and service not intrusive.
Location is good. Not far from some sights. Can easily walk to Nanking pedestrian are (南京步行街).
Hotel facilities are not up to standard of an international brand. Breakfast ok. But our TV sets in our room had terrible reception particularly to the Chinese channels, it happens that I like to watch the CCTV (chinese central tv?) documentaries and I could not, as I informed the front desk on the 2nd day, not fixed, then informed on the 3rd morning then slightly better, so I gave up. Also, for some reason, the tv sets in the room and the living room were linked and when I turned on one, the other would start but not synchronized. At the first night, nothing could be done but to turn both off.
There was also water leakage of ?water from the closet ceiling, my wife's dress was wet from that, after fixing on the 2nd day, on the 3rd day, leak less but water still dropped.
To be fair. The front desk asked me if I needed to change room by then but I was leaving on the 4th morning and my wife had moved all the clothing to the connecting room closet, so no harm already.
Definitely not going back and not recommend this hotel.
Our friends told us that this hotel was old but not an excuse.

In the room, it feels like living on the river.
The service is also very good, and they will help bring up the takeaway.
Making the bed at night is also very romantic, with quilts and mineral water placed at the head of the bed and filled with ice.
They will also provide desserts for night snacks.
Three pieces of clothes are free for laundry every day.
The breakfast egg rolls are delicious and very suitable for the taste of Shanghai people.
Muffins need special features.
The only shortcoming is that the door of the room is not soundproofed enough for the voices in the corridor.
Some of the guests who came back from playing at night affected my rest.

EEunsemThe location is perfect for exploring the Bund by foot—both day and night. The surrounding area is filled with photo spots, making every walk feel like a scenic tour. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar with a stunning night view—absolutely breathtaking. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and the view from the room was also impressive. All the staff were friendly and spoke English well, which made the stay even more pleasant.
The breakfast area had a beautiful European-style interior, and the view of the trees through the large windows added a peaceful charm. However, the breakfast quality itself was just average.
Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay, and I would gladly return.

AAnonymous UserThis is my first time staying in Nanjing, walking may be too far because I don't know the distance, but walking to Yiyuan Park is very close. There are many small restaurants to choose from, but during the two nights I stayed, it was very difficult to deal with rain every day, which was the most difficult part of this trip, but overall it was not too bad to stay in this hotel, but the price I booked was not worth it to be unable to go anywhere because of the rain.

It has a washing machine and dryer, which is worry-free. It is very convenient for travel. It is just a few minutes away from the Bund and the subway station.

JJamesOverall experience was excellent. Very helpful staff on reception advised us on availability for a second night, and kept me right with our stay. Views from river view room and the bar were amazing. Food in the Quay was great for families and lots of options for kids and adults. Char restaurant was extremely overpriced so we decided not to dine there. Only slight downside was the rooftop bar on Friday/Saturday/Sunday evenings requires a charge for entry which was not advertised anywhere. It wa s abit off putting as hotel guests would assume they have access to this facility without additional cost. However Would stay again!
