The room is very comfortable and beautifully finished. The blinds automatically open and the tv turns on when you first step into the room which is pretty cool. The bed was very comfy and the rain head shower was also wonderful. Service was excellent! We enjoyed a small upgrade and a complimentary bottle of bubbles with a hand written note as it was our anniversary - a lovely touch. Floor to ceiling windows throughout the hotel make for a good view no matter where you are. The view of the oval from the bar/restaurant is quite nice while we enjoyed a drink or 2. We'll be back!

I was looking for a touch of special to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. So I booked a room with a river view because I thought that would be nice to wake up to. Well, when we arrived, we had been upgraded to a 'suite'! We were blown away at this room, wall to ceiling views, dining room, bath, balcony. 'Pretty woman' eat your heart out. We didn't dine there as it was a Sunday night and not all of them were open but the facilities looked good. Staff were very professional and friendly at check in and check out. Very little surprises me these days. but EOS did. Thank you very much for exceeding our expectations and giving us an experience we will cherish forever.

We stayed here last night as we were going to The 10cc concert. Arrival was swift and easy and the room was already available. Our room was a junior suite facing North Terrace, it was clean and quiet. We enjoyed 2 complimentary drinks from the bar. They have refurbished the hotel but I think the bar looks a touch bland and not welcoming. I would have thought that there would have been sanitiser available on all levels by the lifts and in the room also. The shampoo, soap etc no longer comes as individual packs but huge bottles and being still in Covid times I thought this a bit off putting. Breakfast was ok nothing special and luckily we had ours included or it would have cost us $42.00 per person and it was not worth that much. The pre-made pancakes were freezing cold. There was a good range of cereals and the fruit plates were nice but had defrosted and tinned fruit also. I found all the supposedly hot foods not hot but cool venturing on cold and they need to do something about the baked beans as they were nasty. We had a slight hiccup on leaving as we were almost charged for two glasses of red wine which we quickly told the receptionist we never had. She amended that quickly so all good.

The location of the hotel was perfect the cleanliness was absolutely beautiful and super clean. But unfortunately one of the worse experience from the staff members specially the night shift manager were one of the rudest person and disrespect I have ever seen in my life. So unfortunately when you book a hotel for holiday, business or and vocation with friends doesn’t matter how good the location is how clean it is and how beautiful or luxury it is. But if the staff member is rude and disrespect then it ruin the whole things and I don’t think anyone would ever want to go there anymore. So because of the I have to give 2 stars.

Our stay at Stamford Plaza was pleasant and clean with all the amenities needed in a central location. To raise the bar though it was the service we received at Stamford Plaza from Jacqui aka Jax that made it extra special. From her warm welcome, recommended attractions and hot spots to the extra special touches including bottle of wine to help us celebrate. Our memories of our stay in Adelaide were greatly enhanced due to Jax and the Stamford Hotel. Thank you!

Do NOT GO to the restaurant, Koomo, on the 10th floor for dinner. The worst service we have had in any Crowne Plaza, or in any restaurant in Adelaide, and the most incompetent management to fix a very trivial issue. Last night my wife and I had booked a table for 6 people - two clients and two colleagues from Sydney and Perth.  The restaurant was about half full when we arrived. There were only 2 waitresses working in the restaurant, and it took us more than half an hour to be given menus, and a wine order to be taken.  It took another 20 minutes, after asking many times, for our food order to be taken. Two of our guests ordered a la carte from the menu,  and the other four wanted to try the ”tasting menu” - more expensive than the al la carte menu, with various preset courses. This is where things really started to go wrong. The tasting menu consisted of a choice between beef and chicken. Three people wanted beef and the other person wanted chicken.We were told by the waitress that the kitchen would not cook only one chicken for one person, and that two people would have to have this - in other words the four people could be served either all beef, or 2 chicken + 2 beef, but not 1 chicken and 3 beef. We really thought the waitress was joking, but realised she was serious. We asked her, very politely, if she could have a word with the kitchen and try to arrange this ”difficult” request. Some 15 minutes later the waitress returned and told us that it was not possible and the kitchen was not prepared to cook only one portion of chicken - it must be two portions and somebody else in our group wanting beef should cancel his beef and eat chicken instead. We asked to see the manager to see if he could sort this out, and very clearly told the waitress that if we could not get the food we wanted from the menu, then we would leave and go to another restaurant. No manager came to see us, but the waitress returned and told us that she had discussed with the manager and that the kitchen still refused to cook only one portion of chicken. We were not impressed. We paid the bill for the wine,  put on our coats and left the restaurant. As we were leaving someone from management (hotel or restaurant?) came to us and asked if we could reconsider and stay, and he would ”try” and convince the kitchen. Too late - our first experience of trying the Koomo restaurant had already been spoiled - poor service from the beginning and no feeling whatsoever for handling customers, and not any attempt to fix the very minor point of what we wanted to order by the management, until we were actually leaving.  I do not blame the waitress - she was caught in the middle with no support from the kitchen staff or the management. This is absolutely a management issue - one of making sure that all staff are trying their best to give good service to their customers, especially if the restaurant is selling itself as a high end one. I booked room 29 the “Executive Suite” this is beautiful accommodation, under different circumstances it would be perfect for a holiday stay, but we were there to be close to family member in hospital. Back to the review, even though we didn’t make full use of it the suite is very nicely furnished, the beds are oh so comfy and the kitchen family has everything you could possibly want with a full kitchen and a huge couch to laze around. Go there you won’t be disappointed. My one and only negative is parking can be tricky.

Adelaide is in the palm of your hand. This hotel is in the north. It takes four stops by bus to the city center, and it takes about 25 minutes to walk. There are direct trains to the market. It is surrounded by places to eat. I booked a room with a balcony, can sleep four people, have a refrigerator and so on. be quiet. Bottled water is charged, but there are tips. The hotel restaurant is good. A family of four definitely does not need an extra bed. Recommended.

We didn't realise the hotel was in the middle of the night club district. We were to stay 3 nights, from Th to Sat night. All was quiet on the Th night. On Friday night the night club music, particularly the repetitive bass sound was horrific and continued till 4am. Not conducive to a good night sleep. On Sat we got back to the hotel in the evening and the nightclub music was thumping again. We checked out of the hotel as we couldn't bear another night of no sleep. I'd suggest if booking here to ask for a room that isn't adjacent to the clubs!

Spent a night at The Fire Station Inn. Was in absolute awe upon entering at having a fire engine in the living area! The place is so incredibly unique and interesting and also provides total comfort. We didn’t make use of the kitchenette, preferring to eat out instead but we could easily have hunkered down and not left. Bed was comfy, the underfloor hearing was amazing! Location is excellent. Easy stroll into North Adelaide and approx 30 mins from city centre. Only suggestion to potential guests, check parking arrangements. We were ok on the street as it was a Sunday, but weekdays could cause some headaches. Overall, a 5 star stay, at a really affordable price. Highly recommended!

The checkin was a bit slow, but maybe the people in front of us all had issues - it seems that way because our checkin was quick. The rooms were fantastic. Spacious, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was particularly big. Good bed. Wifi worked well. Good toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, although the coffee machine could do with a bit of a lift. The staff were moving around between the kitchen and front counter so it's a bit hard to nail them down to make fresh eggs. Location is great. Easy to reach from the airport by bus (or taxi). Also a short walk to the train station. Really impossible to fault.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, the warning signs were there as soon as you walk in the lobby. It was dirty, disorganised and some of the the other guests who were coming and going looked dodgy. The lift was dirty, the hallways were dirty, carpet sticky underfoot, the rooms were just as dirty, dated and generally rundown. You can’t sleep at night, the noice is terrible from the street below, lots of parting people, wandering crackheads in the early morning hours and then council workers cleaning up the streets. The photos and hotel description on the Qantas hotel booking page are completely misleading. Definitely do not stay here, it’s a dump !! I booked for two nights and left after night one, best decision even though it cost me more.
