2 Cambridge Villas B & B

Kate, the host very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and cosy, with tea and coffee making facilities, nice big fluffy towels and toiletries provided. The breakfast room again very clean and well set out. Breakfast excellent, plenty choice of cereals, fruit yoghurts and fresh orange and apple juice. A generous portion of the cooked breakfast (of which I had to leave some) was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Just got back home after a 2 night stay. Everything was just perfect. Ideal location in the centre of Ambleside. Kate was an excellent and friendly host and explained the parking situation nice and clear. The room was extremely clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and a great way to start the day. Would highly recommend and the next time we are in the lakes will see if 2 Cambridge Villas is available. Thankyou

Stayed here whist doing the Cumbria Way, Kate was very welcoming and hospitable. Our room was on the 2nd floor, it was comfortable and very clean although the ensuite was a little small. Kate recommended some local places for food - we opted for Zeffirellis, a good vegetarian option. The B &B is well located in central Ambleside.

2 Cambridge Villas turned out really great! The location is excellent as is the service and cleanliness. It all feels very well looked after. On arrival we found we had a free parking space, which was a bonus! And, what wasn’t obvious on the ******* description, was that breakfast was included in the room price, so another bonus. Breakfast was great too. Our only slight ****** was the room got a bit cold over night. But that’s it. Well worth a visit if you’re looking for something central for a family of 4.

A lovely B&B in the heart of Ambleside. A cosy and comfortable room with everything we needed for the weekend. Kate was very welcoming and served a fantastic breakfast with plenty of options plus cereals, yoghurt, fruit etc. A short walk into town where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Also the perfect location for some good walks. We will definitely return later this year.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely room which was tastefully decorated and provided great value for money. The locally produced hand soaps and showers gels were a nice touch which combined perfectly with a very decent shower, reviving me nicely after hiking all day. Breakfast was delicious also. Highly recommended!

Perfect in every way. Very well looked after by Kate who is also very knowledgable about the local area. We visit every year and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at 2 Cambridge Villas in Ambleside. The host, Kate, was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. The location was a convenient starting point for walks around the town and beyond. The parking permit for a nearby car park meant that we could enjoy days out on foot without any parking fees. Overall, excellent value for money.

A wonderful B&B and Kate is a fantastic host, everything is thought of. The breakfast was superb and a great choice of fruit, cereals, juices to compliment the hearty English breakfast, much needed after the previous days hiking. We will return for sure.
