How even do I begin? I really want to comment about the staff, so I won't write about how lovely the location and site are or how wonderful the conference rooms are. The Melia Arusha Surpasses your favourite hotel or resort or your next visit because of its wonderful people and customer service.Although I'm sure my colleague Amina will beat me to it, I really want to mention every name. Leonorah's smile and voice reassured us that everything is under control, and she was a huge help with all the reservations and organising! Pablo Anuar ”Escobar,” a very kind man, made sure we always had supplies on hand when we needed them. Thank you, Melissa, Imani,Rhhea and all the staff. From the elegant women and gentlemen serving at the reception to the short-haired, soft-spoken sister who looked out for our tea breaks ,The brothers and Sisters cleaning our rooms you all were too kind thank you Definately recommend this facility!

We chose to stay at this hotel both before and after our safari adventure, with the initial and final days covered by the safari company. Deciding to extend our stay by an additional day was an easy decision, especially considering the seamless experience we had. Remarkably, we didn't have to switch rooms at any point, enjoying the convenience of adjoining rooms overlooking the inviting pool area. The front desk staff deserves commendation for their exceptional service throughout our stay, setting a high standard for hospitality. The rooms themselves surpassed our expectations, boasting a level of quality that exceeded even that of four-star accommodations in the US. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed. However, our experience in the bar and restaurant fell short of perfection, which ultimately influenced our rating. On the first day, we encountered an unfortunate incident where our table was taken while we were at the buffet. Despite this hiccup, the culinary offerings were outstanding when ordered off the menu, with prices notably more reasonable compared to the buffet dinner. Breakfast provided a satisfying start to the day. Regrettably, the service in the restaurant was inconsistent, with several instances where we had to actively seek out staff to request the check. This inconsistency in service detracted from the overall experience, prompting us to rate the hotel lower in terms of its full-service capabilities. In summary, while our stay at this hotel was largely enjoyable, particularly thanks to the excellent front desk staff and the quality of the rooms, the inconsistent service in the restaurant and bar prevented us from giving it a higher rating.

In a rugged alley with a deep and deep road, the location is remote, there is no mosquito net in the room, no TV, Wi-Fi is a portable Huawei box, it seems to have air conditioning but no remote control... In general, the family-style apartment service is still very dedicated, breakfast is also very ceremonial, a good choice for temporary transition.

Not bad, quite suitable

The environment is beautiful, clean and hygienic, the front desk is very good and late check-out until two o'clock in the afternoon, breakfast is not very rich, but you can eat. Tanzan blue is sold in the lobby but there are not many varieties. The most important thing is that when the hotel goes out and turns left along the wall, there is a Chinese restaurant. It takes less than five minutes to walk. The owner is a Shanghainese. The food is cheap and delicious. The owner also does tourism projects and is very nice.

Highly recommend this lodge!! My grandmother and I were in Arusha for 8 days, and spent most of our nights at Malkia. The staff was so wonderful - Albert and Neema were the ones I spoke to the most and they were kind and so accommodating. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the food was delicious. Everything is made fresh to order, and the chef was so kind and helpful as well! A good example is that we left very early for safari and for the airport, and even though it was before their breakfast hours started, we were always sent off with breakfast to go, full of hot fresh food and it was always delicious!
