Anonymous UserPerfectly located — within easy walking distance to most major sights in Mitte like the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Philharmonic, and Checkpoint Charlie. For places a bit further out, there’s a train station right in front of the hotel, which makes getting around effortless. There’s even a dm grocery store just a minute’s walk away, which was super convenient.
The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with a full set of amenities provided from the start — something surprisingly rare in Europe. Overall, a very comfortable and well-thought-out stay. Highly recommend!

Guest UserI stayed at Hotel bellman during my trip and had a great experience overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials. The food was simple but fresh and tasty. The only downside was a bit of street noise at night, but it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel. On average the reviews were ok, but there were some that had me a bit worried. However after staying here I can definitely say that I fully enjoyed my stay and have no complaints.
Location: Excellent! The hotel is just off the main shopping street and has good access to transportation. There are shops, grocery stores and resturants in walking distance.
Building: Yes it is an older building but it is well maintained. Sure it could use a few updates but there was nothing that I found wrong. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no air conditioning but this is expected in most older european hotels and a fan was provided. The shower was very clean, had good water pressure and good temperature. I saw a few people in other reviews complain about having to leave the keys when going out, but this is common in most older hotels in europe where actual keys are used insted of door cards. Its actually a good thing because it avoids you having to be responsible for it and paying a hefty fee to have locks changed if you lose the keys.
Service: This was the real winner for me. Everyone was so friendly to me and very helpful. I felt welcomed and I really appreciated this.
Price: the price was competative with the market. It wasn't the cheapest but was not expensive. It did offer good value for the price.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

I I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable.

1WanderAwayHeart of Gold Hostel Berlin was extremely easy to find upon my arrival to Berlin Station. Immediately upon entering I could tell that this hostel had a certain kind of relaxed vibe to it. Not bad. If you arrive early and want to lock your bags but don't own a lock, you can rent one for a 10€ deposit. Check-in also requires a 10€ deposit. Both can be paid woth cash or card but when they return it upon departure, they will only give it back as cash. I was assigned a capsule on the first level and first thing I encountered was a guy walking in hit Itty bitty skivvies. Um, ok I guess. Again, relaxed vibe. The capsule was okay only with the door open. Close it ans it's like you're in a coffin. Hot, hot, hot, and very little air circulation. I brought that to the attention of thr front desk staff and later a guy told me that ”the motor is running” so the fan is working. I took video... the motor may be heard but it def was not working. Felt like I was sweating buckets on night 2. Glad I didn't stay an extra night. Bathroom were relatively clean, byr toilet paper was not always installed. Also, ask for a towel if needed b'c it's not automatically offered. Breakfast is 10€ and was mainly vegan. Was not worth the cost imo. Anyhow... most staff were chill. Just don't like the low effort that was put in for checking about the fan in my capsule. There is no point in booking a capsule if you need to keep the door to it open to breathe. Anyhow... of that issue was fixed, I would stay again.

LlunixTo check in, it's online and it's a pain... sometimes the lockers fail and you have to wait for someone to come... which can easily take about 30 minutes. There is no one at reception… only specific hours on some days…. Of course, sleeping there is very quiet and very well located because you have the metro and bus station next door that immediately takes you to the center. Very good cleaning and they always leave you some details for breakfast such as coffee capsules, tea bags, potatoes, a cold drink in the refrigerator….

I stayed at Aparthotel Vega Berlin during my trip to Berlin.
At first, the building was a bit confusing to find, as it looks like it might be closed from the outside. However, there is a clear sign indicating the hotel, so you are in the right place. It is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest train station, which is manageable but not the most convenient if you have heavy luggage.
One thing to note is that access to the building requires a passcode, which was not provided in advance. I had to call the reception to get the code, which could be inconvenient, especially for late arrivals. The staircase inside the building is also quite narrow, so carrying large suitcases may be a bit challenging.
That said, the room itself was comfortable and well-equipped for the price. It had everything needed for a short stay, making it a practical and budget-friendly option.
Overall, despite a few inconveniences with access and the building layout, I had a decent stay. If I visit Berlin again, I would consider staying here again.

It is a nice hotel. The price for what you get is very good.
Gym, pool and room all very good.
Only thing that I did not like is that cleaning of room costs extra.
They did not change any towels or empited our garbage bins during our stay (4 nights).
If we wanted this, it would cost extra.
Overall all good.
