Guest UserOur stay in Room 501 at Reef Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The dedicated service group was online throughout our trip, always responding promptly and thoughtfully.
In the evenings, they offered complimentary coconut milk taro sago dessert, available until 11 PM. If we were out, they'd even reserve it or deliver it to our room. The hotel also provides laundry, drying, and ironing services, and they even kindly helped mend a torn pocket on my clothes. When I needed an aroma diffuser or motion sickness patches, they were quickly arranged and delivered.
Our island transfer was completely hassle-free. They pre-arranged our pick-up for the 2:30 PM ferry, and the butler reminded us of the arrival time in advance and proactively helped with our luggage. The staff's service was genuinely sincere and meticulous. This is definitely our top choice for future stays on the island. I highly recommend it with five stars, and I'll choose this hotel again when I return to Weizhou Island!

Guest UserI was very curious how a property with such an affordable price has a such a high rating. I was immediately convinced by myself.
The property is perfectly located in the Southern part of the Island near Crocodile Mountain and its beautiful beach as well as South Bay with countless options of tasty seafood. The room is big, bright, clean and smells great. There is everything a traveller needs. The highlight is clearly the boss, she is very warm, welcoming and very kind. There was a book in my room which I took out of curiosity to read on the beach, and I realized it contained great messages. I asked the boss if she is willing to sell it to me but she gave it for free. She told me that she deliberately puts books with great messages for young people in the room since many students stay in her property. Wow...I wish more people in this world would be like the boss. Don't hesitate and book a room here. If I ever happen to be again on this island, I know where to stay!!

Charms928Had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The service was absolutely impressive where free laundry service and daily afternoon tea with fresh fruits and cakes were served. They also helped to arrange free transport between the harbour and the hotel. The door gift is particularly thoughtful which contains a nice UV protective umbrella, mosquito repellant and sun block.
The room was spacious, clean and tastefully designed! Ours was the ground floor room with the garden view. Though the hotel swimming pool is right outside, the lush greenery offered great privacy. The air-conditioned and pleasantly perfumes room was literally my oasis during this short island trip! And it is quite budget friendly!:)
Absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who’s planning to visit the island!
Overall A+ experience!
(Though it’d be a plus point if the laundry could be ironed.)

Guest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

LawcchThis was my second time checking in for this new homestay. The boss is very kind to pick me up from the Beihai jetty after I returned from my trip to Weizhou island. The room is very clean and beautifully decorated. He was also very responsive when I requested slippers and clothes hangers. This Homestay hotel is strategically located near the silver beach. I strongly recommend travellers or tourists stay here to see the beautiful homestay place and the boss is also kind enough to allow cooking in the kitchen. I also did my sweet and sour pork and chicken meats in my first 2 days stay here. I gave the boss and this homestay place considered 5 stars for the best value for money.

Very satisfactory hotel, I also like the breakfast. I especially like the bed. The bathroom is also very clean and the disposable toothbrushes are very useful. Following the route the boss told us, we reached Silver Beach in less than 10 minutes. I sincerely recommend it. There is also a swimming pool in the hotel where you can swim in the afternoon. The boss and his wife are very welcoming. Highly recommended! Highly recommended! Highly recommended! We stayed in two rooms for three nights and had no regrets. By the way, there is a place to dry clothes on the second floor, which is very convenient. There is also a special smoking area.

This time I came to Beihai for a business trip, and I also visited the surrounding attractions in my free time. It was still very good. The hotel staff Huang recommended me to Qiaogang Style Street, with a lot of food. It is very close to the hotel, 6.7 kilometers. Stay here next time you come to Beihai. convenient.

MTmengbaoThe owner is very hospitable and the B&B is very close to Nanwan Street, Shiluo Beach and Dishui Danping. The homestay has electric cars for rent, which makes travel very convenient. The owner also provided us with tools for catching seafood for free, which the children loved. I have to say the boss lady’s cooking skills are very good. I recommend the banana chicken. Her seafood processing is also excellent. We left some important items behind when we left. The boss contacted us personally and sent the items back. We are very grateful to him. I wish the boss a prosperous business and lots of money.

LuckyyuyuTraveling solo, I paid an additional 200+ RMB on-site for a two-night stay in a sea-view suite. Here's my comprehensive review of the experience. In terms of details, I've stayed in many 'light luxury' and luxury B&Bs and hotels, and this five-star experience was by far the worst.
On the first day, I had to wait over an hour for the room to be ready after checking in.
Then, the cleaning details were lacking. The very first night I mentioned the refrigerator had a strong, unpleasant durian-like odor. Even after two days of regular cleaning before I checked out on the third day, the fridge still smelled. This really ruined my desire to open it for a cold drink on such a hot day. As a woman, I also wanted to store my face masks inside, and every time I opened it, I was hit with the stench.
Second, it's been a long time since I stayed at a resort hotel with a 12 PM checkout time. For 700+ RMB a day, I've stayed at 300 RMB hotels that offer checkout after 2 PM. I was looking for a relaxing vacation and wanted to get some proper rest, but instead, I had to rush to pack up before noon.
Third, the overall surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, but that's due to its geographical advantage, not the hotel's service. For the same price, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again.
I also reported the hygiene issue to the front desk. On the first day, I asked for a deodorizer or activated carbon, but the problem was never resolved even by the time I left on the third day.
Moreover, the hotel's pool is beautiful but only good for photos, not for actual swimming. With a depth of 1.2 meters, it's only suitable for children to splash around, not for adults to swim properly.
The appliances in the hotel suite are also incredibly outdated. The hairdryer is very retro, an old-fashioned model with a coiled cord. It's heavy and tiring to hold, takes ages to dry hair, and burns your scalp.

Anonymous UserChecked in at night, to be honest, it was not much different from my expectations, the room was very spacious and clean, to be honest, much bigger than the hotels in the city, the price is quite cost-effective. Mainly, it is very close to the coastline, and the balcony is open-air and you can sit, enjoy the sea breeze and look at the sea at night, it is very comfortable.
