The Meixi Lake, Changsha Marriott Executive Apartments

I stayed in Changsha for four days during the National Day holiday. I got tired of the first hotel, and a friend recommended the suites here. It was my first time staying at a Marriott Executive Apartment, and I have to say: amazing! First, the room was super spacious. I've stayed in suites before, but for this size and price, it offers incredible value for money. The refrigerator, washing machine, and kitchen appliances were all fully equipped. As for the location, transportation is quite convenient. After checking in, you can take a boat directly from nearby Meixi Lake, which was a nice experience. My only minor complaint is that bookings made through Ctrip don't earn Marriott nights or points. I hope Ctrip and Marriott can improve their cooperation.

Choosing this hotel for our trip was definitely the right decision. The room was clean and bright with thoughtful amenities, and having a washing machine was so convenient for travelers. The front desk staff were professional and polite; any issues we had were communicated smoothly and handled very well. The public areas were clean and tidy, the bedding was extremely comfortable for sleeping, and the overall stay experience was fantastic. A well-deserved five-star review, highly recommended!

Facilities: We used the pool and the restaurant the most, and both were fantastic. Cleanliness: Spotless as always. Location & Surroundings: Right next to Meixi Lake. It's very quiet with lovely scenery, and you can ride a bike around the lake in the morning. Service: Kent and Chloe (apologies if I didn't remember the names correctly) were very warm, welcoming, and gave very detailed introductions.

The previous guest in my room was a smoker. I specifically requested a non-smoking room, but on the first night, there was a strong smell of nicotine that actually woke me up coughing. I had to leave the window open all day, and it took two more nights for the smell to finally dissipate. For a Marriott brand, this is unacceptable. They should have charged the previous guest's deposit and taken more time for proper cleaning. It shows a lack of consideration. Also, there were red confetti dots from a wedding stuck in the air conditioning vent, which hadn't been cleaned properly. When the AC started up in the middle of the night, these colorful red dots would occasionally float down, creating a somewhat 'Chinese horror' vibe.
