Perfect stay! I was there for a Conference and was the right location, the room was extremely clean and well designed, the staff from the reception was very welcoming and efficient. The location can be reached conveniently by bus 727 from the Sesto San Giovanni Train station, around 12 minutes ride. The lobby is also very elegant and modern! Highly recommend!

With the complex spaghetti roads, roundabouts and construction we spent half an hour going around in circles trying to find them. We did find the Holiday Inn first and they gave us directions that almost worked. Let's start with the fine print. The hotel isn't in Monza, but in the dreary town next to it. Much of it seems industrial, warehouses and potentially polluting businesses you wouldn't want to live next to..The hotel sits next to a heavy traffic artery with plenty of truck traffic heading somewhere else. It is not a lot more attractive than much of the Bronx. Outside, the hotel looks forlorn. Inside it isn't quite as ugly with a vague atrium feel with plenty of glass and stone.. There is a large parking area behind the front, which is welcome but usually filled with seminar/convention traffic. Best Westerns are independently owned and not cookie cutter. We have always found personnel associated with the brand to be kind and helpful, and that was the case here. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious, modern and comfortable although decorated in dormitory/institutional beige and brown. You could wake up and have no idea where you were, except for the parking lot behind. After the stressful drive, we decided to have dinner at the hotel, and it was adequate if not inspiring. Two breakfasts were decidedly more mediocre. I am depressed at how many nominally 4 star hotels use industrial grade orange juice, mediocre brand yogurts and pastries and especially weak and second rate coffee. That is inexcusable in a country that has some of the best brands in the world. Don't they know that Nescafe is awful!!! We took a cab into town to see some sights. Beware, you will probably get ripped off. The taxi meter was at 14.5 Euros when we got in; 25 Euros in the heart of the city. Perhaps it is legal for the cab to turn on the meter when they get the call. but that isn't entirely reasonable. Monza has some extraordinary ancient buildings and historical sites, and lots of ugly modern ones. On the way into town and back, we saw several miles of scruffy apar**ents and dozens of grassy spaces that hadn't been mowed. Of course, that isn't the hotel's fault, but why stay out there iuless you are conferencing? Candidly, I can't think of any reason to come back.

Situated close to airport with a free 5min shuttle that arrives every ten-fifteen minutes which is the best feature. Hotel room and condition was very clean, bathroom was immaculate. Hotel lets itself down service wise in the restaurant. We told the waiter we were ready to order dessert twice and waited over 25mins and he did not return. The other dissapoin**ent was air conditioning. Couldn't figure out how to get it working properly in the room and it was far from intuitive. Therefore was unable to sleep at all and had a very uncomfortable night followed by a 6am departure.

It was ok for the price, very minimalist, the walls need an update they were all dirty and peeling and stained . The bed and cushions were very comfortable, good breakfast. No extra cushions or blankets

Bice and friendly

The hotel staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. They did omit to notify us about the early breakfast they offer upon check-in, so make sure you ask about this if you have an early flight. They do also let you take drinks from the bar up to your room. Location and Travel Be aware of how far away the hotel is from Milan. From Duomo, you'll need to get on the red line (M1) towards RHO and get off at Lampugnano. The last bus from Lampugnano leaves at 20:00 back to Lainate. You will then need to get the 617 bus which drops you off outside Lidl and Maccies near the hotel. This is obviously not ideal if you want to spend the evening in Milan. We arrived during a national taxi strike which made the trip much more stressful. While this is not the hotel's fault, a heads up from the hotel would have been nice about traveling to and from Milan central. We were stranded in Milan on the first day, we called the hotel and they told us to try and get an Uber. The uber was 144 euros which we reluctantly paid. The car never showed up so we called back the hotel and they stopped answering our phone calls. Once we finally arrived at the hotel, feeling confident we knew the route to and from the hotel, we double-checked with the hotel, and unfortunately, we were not made aware of when the last bus is. On our second day, we were stranded in Milan again. Luckily we met two other people at the last subway station who had also done the Wowcher holiday and they managed to get in touch with the hotel to arrange a private taxi back to the hotel. As there was a strike going on at the time, the fare was 55 euros from Rho subway station to the hotel, which is roughly a 10/15 minute drive. Again this is not the hotel's fault but it is something to be aware of. Another thing to be aware of when using the subway is that the tickets are only valid for 90 minutes, and there are plain-clothed officers waiting in the subway stations to catch people out. So make sure you always have a ticket with enough time left on it to get all the way back to the hotel. Breakfast We were allocated this Hotel from Wowcher, and we were told to pay £40 for the bed and breakfast, which was fine until we realised we couldn't get breakfast on the 2nd day as we had to leave the hotel at 4 am. Essentially meaning we paid £40 for one breakfast between the two of us. We have had no joy in getting a refund for the second day's breakfast from the hotel which is the primary reason for leaving a review. The hotel in my opinion is perfect for people who do not want to spend evenings in Milan or who have a car. If neither of these applies to you, I would highly recommend looking for a hotel closer to the center of Milan.

When they arrived, they could check in half an hour before, the phone in the room was burned and the light of the comfort was not working. I booked and paid for standard bed however once I was there I was informed they are full to capacity and only twins beds were available. My trip was for 5 nights and the they would only be able to offer me a standard bed the last night of my stay. I was also told that I'm staying longer than the normal as their minimum patrons stays between 2-3 nights and my stay is longer. The food is also not desirable. I was disappointed by that being in Italy and not having a capable chef. The person working was overwhelm as the was the only one and there were many people to attend to. The location was not ideal as it was right next to an abandon building and walking to get the bus was dark and creepy. Because it was my first time in Milan I was expecting more but next time I'll choose another hotel closer to the town.
