The hotel was clean and comfortable, sets about a block from the freeway so you do not get the noisy traffic. Staff is pleasant. There were a few things that kept me from rating this place a perfect score that I want to bring awareness to for the mgr staff to discuss and correct. 1) It does not make sense and gives a false sense of cleanliness to advertise on the TV all of the cleaning procedures and sanitizer available when there is no check up and follow up going on. We stayed 2 nights and not once was the sanitizer dispenser filler at check in or in the fitness room. The only one working was next to the coffee station. Sanitizing wipes were not visible, I did find one pack at the very end of the breakfast area opposite the serving line. Elevators were dirty early morning g when they should be sparkling clean. The fresh smell entering the hotel that Marriott is known for was lacking. 2) on the first night I was not able to work out in the fitness room around 9:30pm because it was crowded with young men having what appeared to be a pizza party with high noise level and only a few actually working out. The fitness room is next ti the check in desk, you can hear the noise from there and see through the glass what was going on. This should have been stopped immediately by staff. Next morning, the fitness room was filthy, smidges all over glass, and of course no sanitizer or wipes available to clean up. 3) The AC although set at 66 has much to be desired. 4) the seating area at breakfast needs all the cushions by the wall replaced, they are worn down, cracking, and unappealing. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the area was not kept thoroughly cleaned 5) The TV service is spotty at best. None of the premium channels were working at all.

First of all, when it says the rooms have a ”shower/tub combination”, don’t believe them. Don’t believe ANY hotel chain on that: they are taking out the tubs as fast as possible. Cheaper to have a walk-in shower, easier to clean. ***But how do you bathe your small child in a shower?*** They’ve never had a shower and here you are in a strange place and suddenly they have water hitting their face and head and are terrified. But the description SAID there was a TUB, right? What are hotel execs thinking -- that we won’t notice? DON’T TAKE OUT ALL THE TUBS, people. We reserved a room for our family based on that description. I went downstairs before we finished putting down our suitcases, to say ”there must be some mistake, I have a little kid and there’s NO TUB in the bathroom, just a big shower stall. And I reserved a room with a tub.” But there were no other rooms available that have a tub. This trend needs to stop. Either put the tub back in or CHANGE your description. And TripAdvisor, be on notice that you cannot any longer say ”shower/tub combination” as one of the options, because MANY HOTELS NO LONGER OFFER THEM, so split that option into ”Shower only” AND ”Shower/tub combination”, thank you. Don’t do this to families! We take these rooms so we can use the kitchen which makes things easier on us but instead, you make it hard on us in the bathroom, not easier with that huge error. Aside from that, the room was clean. We dropped something behind the sofa/sleeper sofa and had to take it apart to retrieve the item, and it all was clean under there, pretty amazing. All dishes and silverware were in the dishwasher, still hot from steaming and drying, a good thing. Some surfaces are showing wear and tear. The doors in the cabinet under the bathroom sink are missing, and the woodwork is chipped and worn. There are no pens or pads of paper or directories about what’s nearby, in the room. Oh sure, they put some information on the TV but no pens? At a Marriott? So I asked for a few at the front desk and the person gave me ONE, saying ”COVID”. Sure, blame COVID for everything! The morning breakfast is good: scrambled eggs, bacon (not every day), sausage (most days), bread/muffins/bagels for toasting, grits, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices (not the best but they’ll do), cucumber water (nice!), waffles you make yourself. Not from Whole Foods but hey, pretty good. For a couple of days, there was no butter, oddly enough. And the person maintaining the kitchen and food-serving area for several days was not wearing a mask. But COVID! Come on, staff, either all wear a mask or all don’t wear them. One of the managers never wore one, but three others did. Signs everywhere about wearing a mask, too. And hardly any guests wore them in the common areas, either, including the elevators. Then again, this is Texas. I think the bed is too high. But the room was quiet, and faced west so we saw a few spectacular sunsets. The grounds outside need attention: y

loved the customer service at this hotel. Everything I requested was done for us and checkin took about 2 minutes. You do have to pay $5 for parking but finding a space was not an issue. This hotel is convenietly located to both I35 and I45. We had a room on the first floor but noise was not an issue. The rooms were very comfortable and this hotel definitely lives up to the IHG standards. Also there is a liquor store conveniently located next store.

I decided to cash in Honors points for my stay earlier in the month. I suspected the property hadn't been renovated from my last visit 2 years ago and I was correct. I would have liked a room on the backside of the hotel due to the freeway noise issue, but it wasn't in the cards. The business center wasn't working on all cylinders and the Honors Diamond breakfast had alot to be desired. Other than those issues, my stay was fine.

Hotel Love airport shuttle service is now handled by Lyft. Just call the hotel upon arrival as the hotel then arranges Lyft for you immediately. Exit baggage claim to the ”App pick up” spot which is right at the exit. Lyft arrived promptly. Unlike traveler below, we had no issues. And post game -7pm-returned to hotel to pick up our stored luggage(free), and hotel still paid for Lyft to take us from the hotel back to Love Field. Very prompt pick up. Excellent service by Erin K (along her staff) with our room mix up, and hotel went over the top to help us even though they were full! Rooms were nicely redone, bath was like brand new. They even found us a phone charger to borrow! Couch was comfortable bonus. Very quiet. Computers available to print boarding passes. Staff were great! My wife would have loved it but this was a boys trip! Definitely would stay here again.
