Hotels near German Football Museum in Dortmund

Dear readers, as unsatisfactory guest, I would like to share my experience in this hotel. First of all, I must say that the central location of the hotel is positive. I also liked the impressive hall of red marble in the eastern style. My room on the 5th floor was pleasantly large and offered a good view of the city. Unfortunately, this is the hotel at the crossing of two main roads. This means that the traffic around the clock is very strong and especially at night when the Poser scene tries her PS-stark cars, I was always wake up at night. Also the equipment is simple and has come into the years. The garden fell to me immediately when hearing, because the holder was defect and it was no longer fitted. The very bright room was also a big problem because I could hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was a great disappointment, as low-quality goods were used, the cheapest available on the market. All in all, this was the last time I stayed in this hotel. On the second day I went to a bakery in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't make a recommendation for this hotel and advise potential guests to look after a better option. I arrived a week before my reservation and asked for a change in reception. But on the booking website they indicated that in the hotel they could, If HAVE WANT, make a refund to me. I commented on it with the hotel being at the same reception, I cancelled and booked a new room, but they did not make any refund or discount, the young woman who attended me lacked empathy and sympathy. I paid what it was booking directly at reception, more expensive than on the web, and I will not return to this hotel nor recommend it to my friends and colleagues. The room was very comfortable and was very comfortable.

Had a great stay at this Hotel for two nights from Wednesday 21st September, This Hotel is very fresh looking, I believe opened in 2021. A couple of hundred yards from the Central Station. You can see this Hotel directly in front of the Station. Turn left out of the Hotel and a further 5 minutes walk will take you to the pedestrian shopping area. Nice bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower. Nice breakfast and staff...nothing negative to say about this property. Intercity hotels are a great brand with fair prices. Well done to all staff.

The hotel is new and modern in design. The breakfast is exquisite and fresh. Booked in a double room, very spacious. The single room is the compact style of Europe. The hotel is close to the commercial pedestrian street and shopping is especially convenient. 5 minutes walk from the train station, through the local football museum, the local area is particularly lively on Saturday, you will know when you go...

It’s really a shame… this hotel is mostly totally fine, and I love that it was so convenient to the train station. But the beds are AWFUL. I mean *bad*. It’s like sleeping on top of a table… so hard, I’d wake up with numb fingers, hands, and feet. The pillows filled with crumbly material deflate immediately as well, making it just impossible to get a good night of sleep. It’s a shame, really!

A hotel that helps a colleague make a mistake. This family was good in all aspects of the evaluation and chose this family. The hotel's been making good comments. Nice position, too! Good recommendation!

The hotel was very good, the hotel was very good, and the hotel was very good, and the hotel was very good. Matraces of the bed were hard, but for a weekend to do well. What I missed was a multon on the matrace, lakens were straight on the matrace, head kiss soft. Shower was nice with towels shampoo and soap. Breakfast, more than enough and very good. Car could be lost in the parking garage below the hotel, but indicated when booking. From the hotel, you are right in the center. Staff is friendly

Very central to everything we needed. We took the breakfast option - variety of bread, hams. cheese and sausage. Scrambled and boiled eggs, fresh fruit, jams, yoghurt and cereals, juices and excellent coffee and other hot drinks. Glad we chose this option as there did not seem too many cafes offering breakfast nearby - only chains. The ladies who dealt with breakfast were lovely, really helpful and friendly. The only reason I've not given a 5 rating is that (for us) the bed was a little firm and the pillows were far too soft and on our last night (Saturday) the hotel must be near a nightclub as all we could hear was thumping music into the early hours (2am!) of the morning. Would just advise getting a room on the opposite side of the hotel.

Good location but otherwise tired old hotel, long overdue complete refurbishment. Faded carpets and pictures in the halls. No fridge in standard rooms ”to save the planet,” but apparently, superior room occupants are not so concerned. No safe in rooms. Bathroom with green and gold coloured tiles from the 70's/80's had cracked floor tiles with blackened grout from years of water on the floor. Glasses on request, but they wouldn't deliver to room. Body cream on request was so old that it had liquefied. Rooms are only cleaned on request, and they don't tell you that on the reservation or at check-in. Then chambermaid knocked and opened door without waiting, despite ”DO NOT DISTURB” sign. Very poor breakfast with basic rolls and cheese/ham; allegedly broken toaster miraculously reappeared after two days of complaints but still had to ask for bread. You cannot economically repair an old toaster so it was obvious that the reason why it was withdrawn was to avoid having to put out bread. Scrambled eggs on request but no sausage (is this Germany??), bacon or beans. It's definitely not worth €14. Save money and go to one of the many coffee shops nearby. The so called ”cosy bar” is actually at reception and I never saw anyone there. In 4 nights I only saw 2 other guests at breakfast time, which was not a big surprise. This is a poor excuse for an Accor/ Mercure Hotel. There has to be better value in Dor**und.

The hotel is just across the road from the pedestrianised town centre so really well located. Parking was free if you parked in the surface car park. The reception lobby was very ornate and hotel room was large. Only issue was a lack of aircon. As it was so hot the reception staff were happy to give large electric fans to anyone who asked for one to plug in their bedrooms.
