Family Friendly Hotels in Haikou

Hotel has a good location surrounded by many restaurants/bakery/cafe. There is also a mall just across the hotel and a souvenir shop adjacent to it. I only booked the room for one night but decided to extend my stay as it is very convenient, clean and comfortable. The room also has ample space and looks very modern. On the second night, the hotel staff also left a fruit basket in my room; thank you for the kind gesture. For the price paid, I'd highly recommend this hotel!

My final stay was at the Mercure Haikou City Center. I booked a Deluxe room, which was clean and functional. The staff were friendly and even helped us check out from the previous hotel. The location was excellent, with easy access to parks and malls. The room came with a bidet, which was a nice touch, and the bed was comfortable. However, the air conditioner was weak, and since we couldn’t open the window fully, we had to sleep without blankets. Overall, for the price and space, I can’t complain. It’s a great hotel for city explorers who just need a place to bathe and sleep. There are plenty of food and shopping options within walking distance, and you can easily rent a bicycle to explore Evergreen Park, Century Park, and even Qilou Old Street.

Whether you arrive in the early morning or check in late at night, the 24-hour flexible check-in system completely solves time anxiety! Free drinks are available in the mini bar in the room, the laundry service is efficient and considerate, and the scheduled pick-up is punctual and reliable. The hotel is close to the train station and the business district, so there is no pressure to travel and shop. The most surprising thing is the breakfast! Chinese and Western hot food is freshly made, as well as local snacks. The morning tea is beautiful and delicious, and the room is a plus point. The quality is reflected in every detail. High cost performance!

The hotel's breakfast selection was another highlight of my stay. There was a good variety of options, and the quality of the food was quite impressive. Starting my day with a satisfying breakfast definitely set a positive tone for my daily adventures. Though the overall service at the hotel was just okay, there was one staff member who stood out and made a significant difference in my stay - Kitty. Kitty's exceptional assistance and attentiveness were truly commendable. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options. However, there were some glaring issues that affected my experience. First and foremost, the Wi-Fi connection was terrible. As a traveler, having reliable internet access is essential for staying connected and planning daily activities. Unfortunately, the unreliable Wi-Fi at the hotel made this difficult, and it was quite frustrating. Additionally, the swimming pool was a letdown. Despite appearing beautiful in the pictures, it was actually dirty during my stay. I was looking forward to relaxing by the poolside, but the unclean water made it an unappealing option. Furthermore, the location of the hotel was a significant drawback. It was far from most of the popular attractions and amenities, making it inconvenient and time-consuming to travel to places of interest. I found myself spending more time commuting than enjoying the destination itself. On the culinary front, while there was a restaurant called ”China First,” the food was indeed excellent. However, I can't overlook the fact that it was expensive, and overall, the hotel felt overpriced for the amenities and services provided.

This is indeed a great hotel to stay, as it is very family friendly, good locations, with lots of nice food around the areas.

The price-performance ratio is super high, it dropped my jaw. We checked in at the end of April, probably because it was the off-season before the long holiday. A sea view room including breakfast is only over 300, why would you want a bicycle! The room is big, the view is great, it is very quiet at night, there are no noisy neighbors, and the room has no odor and the drainage is unobstructed. The decoration is just a little old. The most recommended thing is the hotel's own hot spring and swimming pool. Just these two items can entertain you for a whole day. I didn't even have interest in going to the beach outside. This standard 50-meter swimming pool has a constant temperature and automatic circulation. The only drawback is that when there are classes in the swimming pool in the morning, you need to say hello before entering. Finally, I strongly recommend the fish spa pool, which is also my motivation to write a review. If anyone has skin diseases on their feet, it is definitely a good idea to come here. We guarantee that they will be cleaned up for you. The only downside is that the breakfast has too few varieties, the hotel's TV is not very good, and the decoration is too old, but for a five-star hotel that costs 300 per night, you don't ask for too much.

The apartment is located on Binhai Avenue, facing the Haidian River, opposite the old pier of the hotel, the view is very good. Along Binhai Avenue, you can lead to the Bund, you can see the landmark Century Bridge in Haikou, and the Haikou Internet celebrity check-in place such as Yundong Bookstore.

The environment and sanitation are very good. Well, the floor is also quite high, and the view is also beautiful when looking down. It is indeed a very high floor. The elevator arrives very quickly, and the hot water shower is very strong and very comfortable. The bed is also very comfortable, and he also has a very comfortable robe. Haikou has been cold these two days, and it is really convenient to have this robe, otherwise I don’t know how cold it is. The surrounding area is also very convenient, not far from the Sun Moon Plaza, it is very convenient to take a taxi, and there are also many places to eat. The hotel breakfast is still OK, and the variety is still OK. The service is quite good, and the mineral water is also unlimited, and there is a mini free bar. Well, drinks are also provided free of charge. Overall, it is really good and worth recommending. The service awareness is also very strong. I will stay here next time. Well, a small suggestion, I hope the elevator sign should be clearer. It can be seen at a glance, and the office elevator and the elevator should have clear signs, which one is the hotel elevator and which one is the office elevator? It is also very uncomfortable to avoid customers walking the wrong way. Overall, it is good. Clean and comfortable, drip coffee is good. The hotel is also relatively new and smart.

The location is excellent, just opposite Wanlv Park. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to the beach. The new Chinese style decoration, with pine trees and flowing water everywhere, is very artistic. The decoration and furniture are very new and clean, exceeding expectations. It is on the first floor of the fourth floor, and you have to pass through the lobby when entering and leaving, which is very safe. There are several separate tea rooms where you can talk about things, make phone calls, and drink tea. Although there are not many types of breakfast, there are freshly cooked noodles, which also have a unique local flavor.

The room is very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom and the shower room are separated into dry and wet areas. The air conditioning in the room is also very powerful. Each room type is equipped with a chair and table for dining and some writing operations. Overall, it is a very satisfactory stay. The room automation equipment is also very complete. The only drawback is that it may be due to the typhoon that just passed. I hope that the breakfast can be richer, in terms of snacks and drinks, to meet the breakfast needs of more customers.
