My wife and I planned a night out in Glasgow for our friends 40th birthday and booked this hotel for the night. I must say this hotel wasn't what I was expecting the front of house staff were really friendly and professional however that manager needs to learn she is in her position because of the customers and she should learn to speak to the customer in a more professional manner. In the space of 10 minutes while we were checking in we both saw her being disrespectful to 4 different customers. THE BAR and RESTAURANT The choice of drinks were ok however there was no draft beer available. They also had cocktails in the fridge however the barman refused to sell any to us due to the management not allowing him to do so. We paid for morning breakfast and they had a choice of continental or hot breakfast. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. THE ROOM The room was very simple. It had a small TV with standard free channels. The issue I had with the room was the staff only put 1 towel in the bathroom. If there are 2 people staying it should be policy that you get 2 towels. I cannot recommend this hotel until these issues are fixed and I will not be returning.

Booked and paid for a stay in a king suite at this hotel , 6 months in advance . I had the booking reference on my phone . When we went to check in we were were told there was no record of the booking and the hotel was full. Apparently , when we booked they were a Hilton . Hilton decided not to renew their lease . What happened next is a mystery to me , they decided not to honour the Hilton bookings. I had booked through Agoda and have Hilton Honours , neither of whom were aware my booking was cancelled. I have since been refunded by Agoda but it left me without a hotel and I had to pay over £300 more than the original booking to stay in 1 Devonshire (everywhere else fully booked) in a standard room. I also had to use taxis as the hotel isnt in a convenient place. The hotel staff did apologise but said it had happened to lots of people and seemed largely unconcerned . Surely they could have taken steps to notify people once it had happened couple of times. Thankfully I could afford to book another hotel and get my refund later ( can take up to 30 business days). Im sure others might not have been so lucky. Enormous lack of care. Ive never experienced anything like it.

Just to be clear, this isn't a fine star establishment but it does deserve a fine star review for what it provides at the price or charges. City centre location. Lots of shopping and food options around the venue. Staff were very pleasant although more knowledge about bus routes would have been helpful given the number of out of towners that will be staying here. I chose a double room without a window sunder I was literally just sleeping here rather than spending time in the room. It is very clean, nice white bedding. The double bed took up the whole of the Room bar the entrance part but that was absolutely not an issue because I didn't need any more space. There was a toilet and shower wet room, TV, mirror, hanging area (not a full wardrobe but it absolutely sure what I needed). I appreciated the interesting extra touches which had clearly been considered for a compact space such as storage under the bed for luggage, free wi-fi, plug points and light switches by the bed and only having room cleaning and bedding changed on request and for an additional charge, rather than being included in three cost of the Room when it really wasn't necessary or environmentally aware given that I only had a two night stay. I would definitely use this service again. I paid £25 per night through booking.com which for a city centre location is outstanding.

Well what can I say from the day I walked in last year to enquire about our wedding scott an his team were amazing every time I met with Scott I felt as though as he was one of my close friends he was amazing from day one On the wedding eve scott an his staff couldn’t help us enough on the day all I can say was outstanding even getting dressed with make up an hair a text to him an he had drinks for the kids an adults on the reception I had to butt in at end of speeches to thank him an Robbie Also we stayed a extra night as husband an wife and Martin an scott were amazing making sure we had everything we needed everyone that attended the wedding said they hd an amazing time an it was lovely also so happy with their breakfast an checkout times I’m gutted everything is over with now but one thing I know is I will be having a night away at the leonardo as they look after you from start to finish an most of all I’ve made a great friend in scott I’m still texting him lol

The hotel is situated in the centre of the town which makes you easy to go anywhere. Don’t forget to park your car in their car park which is more cheaper than you put your car in somewhere.

Our recent stay at Moxy Glasgow SEC was comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. The availability of heavily subsidised parking next to the hotel (which must be validated by asking at reception) was an added bonus - only £8/day! The check-in and check-out processes were straightforward, with friendly staff at reception. Accessed with a key-card, our room, although compact and overlooking the aforementioned car park, was modern, clean and provided good amenities. The view from the room didn't detract from our stay, as with the curtains drawn and window closed, any car park light/noise could be avoided - this was necessary the nights events were on at the SEC. Our room was a 'moxy twin sleeper' (two single beds) - though the beds were really close together. Additionally, there wasn't really any storage space, and the use of paper cups instead of the use of mugs could have elevated the room. Despite this, the room was well-decorated and met our needs during a four-night stay. Overall, the Moxy Glasgow SEC was well-priced, and the modern, clean rooms helped us to have a pleasant and comfortable stay!

I visited here with my husband and 3 children whilst we attended a concert at the hydro. Our family room 309 was spacious and beautiful, the room was immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you need. The sound proofing must be good because for an old building we heard absolutely nothing from other rooms or outside. Staff were polite, cautious, professional and helpful. Special mention to the young man on reception and the 2 ladies at breakfast. Breakfast was perfect and well organised, although the sausages weren’t to our taste. Hotel is within Walking distance of the hydro (even with children that don’t like to walk) . I would 100% book again and recommend

We were really excited to book this hotel looking at reviews and based on fact it was new and modern But soon we came down to Earth Over priced , location not easily accessible, room small, no shower mat in shower. Rooms are on same standard of modern travelodge or premier inns which you can accept for the price you pay , 156£ for a twin room for one night is not a fair price if you deliver same standard of travelodge in main queen street selling the same rooms with same amenities at 68£ or premier inn at glasgow airport at 89£ and trust me their price was justified by location first of all than amenities and rich selection of breakfast and freshly baked items Breakfast at chops was a disgrace and overpriced , breakfast items like brioches and muffins dry and old , stale food we went down on morning around 9 am there were just 4 tables eating so can't say it was a busy morning , staff seems annoyed to see guests and there was no choice of vegetarian breakfast available , we had to ask for some vegetarian items and the vegetarian sausages were horrendous , they presented us with a square tile sausage of morrisons which was extremely dry and smelly ,literally leather piece , i was disappointed to leave it to the bin as i am against the food wastage and had to left on table dry muffins dry croissants and dry sausages , had to ask for an omelette with tomatoes and they refused to make it tomatoes than asked for a simple and waiter came out with tomatoes one ,i assume waiter added tomatoes Chunk om top coz chef refused to make it and when chef refused to add items on a dish we all know in hospitality it comes as premade dish so they dnt want to take responsability . On leaving the chops no bye or interaction from staff, On bar bed and breakfast rate in a 4 star hotels at least a water bottle is provided in room and on booking we were told there was a fridge in room as minibar , reading other reviews of guests confirming they were provided with minibar items on arrival we booked this as extra and found fridge empty . Not fitt for health and safety as the main pillars of the building in main public areas are uncovered and concrete is falling in chunks from corners coz the pillars are not covered , same is on the ceiling of main entrance and reception area which is uncovered , was playing pool in reception area and got scratches from the rough corners of the pillar next to pool . Absolutely not a 4 star and not a full English breakfast, maybe can be a 1/4 of English breakfast if we want to be honest .

The location is very good, next to kelvingrove park and kelvingrove museum. Across the park is the University of Glasgow. The service was friendly and helped me store the boxes. Tell me the wifi password is behind the door. The breakfast is very good, in addition to the ordinary milk bread juice, there is also an order service, and there is no extra charge. Feel free to pair as many things as you want with your English brunch. The sanitation is good, the room is clean, and the bed linen is new. The Lux soap that I gave was so easy to use that I plan to buy one at the supermarket in the future. Facilities are the level of ordinary 3-star hotels, the only shortcoming is that the bed in the single room is a single bed instead of a double bed, which is relatively narrow.
