In the beautiful surrounding of Haaksbergen in between the woods you find this little gem of hotel and restaurant De Watermölle! In the farmhouse the rooms are large and you find king size beds. In the morning a delicious breakfast is offered and during the day time and in the evening in the restaurant wonderful food is offered Around you find an extensive network of walking- and cycling routes.

A wonderful place in the countryside to relax, take it easy, sleep peacefully in their very comfortable beds, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings (including the historic 16th century mills directly opposite - but the hotel building is also historically listed!) The owners are friendly, courteous and understand hospitality. They really do whatever they can to ensure you have an incredibly comfortable stay. The rooms are spotlessly clean - if a little bit dated in terms of decoration - but in perfect condition. They are spacious, with a separate sitting/dining area (we were there during lockdown so they had a dining table set up in the sitting area for meals). Food is delicious, well prepared, and served to your room. The location is wonderful, peaceful, feels remote and yet is easy to get to. Great walking/hiking paths go right past the B&B. I would happily stay here again and recommend it highly to others.

Superb property with high quality accomidation in an idilic location with great value food and drink offering. Had a superb room with entrance hall, good sized bathroom complete with jacuzzi bath, and plesant seating area. all mod cons included. Charming decore fitted out like a hunting lodge feel. he staff and owner were very plesant, The service was wonderful and the food was excellent and such good value.

Heerlijk zitten op het terras en genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd en een lekker biertje van de tap of verse jus d’orange. Dat kan bij de Watermölle nog voor een schappelijke prijs. En echt, de kwaliteit en hoeveelheid van de maaltijd stijgt boven die van directe concurrenten!

Goed ontbijt en diner. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Alleen slordig met rekening. Hoop zaken van andere tafel(s) op onze windafrekening gekregen. Diner rekening was ongeveer 20 euro te hoog. Verder leuke en vriendelijke bediening. En kamers compleet. Goede bedden. En heel gastvrij voor onze hond die we mee hadden.

Een heerlijk hotel met restaurant halverwege een wandelweekend in Twente. Prima bedden, een zeer goed diner en een lekker ontbijt in een fraaie omgeving. De locatie zelf, de eeuwenoude watermolen is heel bijzonder, karakteristiek en prachtig!

Zondag 21 mei was het dan zover! Meer dan een maand geleden gereserveerd naar aanleiding van een beoordeling in Dagblad Tubantia. We waren zeer benieuw geworden.. Goede ontvangst, leuke drukte trouwens. Mooi terras, bijzonder rustige uitnodigende omgeving. Eten voortreffelijk in 1 woord…Chapeau voor het hele team…. We komen terug, zeker weten!

Een geweldige locatie, zeker met mooi weer. Gezien mijn persoonlijke situatie was het helaas niet mogelijk om te wandelen of te fietsen, maar de auto was geduldig. Bezoek aan Deventer, Gronau (zonde van de tijd) en Münster (altstadt). Slechts 1 minpuntje. Bijna het hele terrein is slecht toegankelijk voor rollator of rolstoel gebruikers. Toch kan ik De Watermölle aanbevelen. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Bij het zoeken van een overnachting voor het wandelen van het trekvogelpad kwam ik al snel dit hotel tegen. Dit hotel ligt bij de Oostendorper watermolen. Dit is al een unieke locatie. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en het eten is goed. De kamer is groot, met daarin een bad en een grote douche.
