Hotel Kamp

The good: Pre stay communication with the hotel was done smoothly and the reception replied quickly to my email. In my email I requested an early check-in as well as a table reservation from the Brasserie restaurant. The receptionist said that the staff would do their best in order to accommodate my early check in request and booked the table from the restaurant for me. When I arrived at the hotel this was true and I was given my room at 1 pm, so 2 hours prior to standard check-in time. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind and tried to speak Swedish with me. She also remembered that I had stayed there before and said welcome back to me. She also said that it would be fine if I checked out an hour later so at 1 pm. The room was upgraded one category up from deluxe to premium deluxe. In addition, there was a greeting card from the General manager welcoming me back to Helsinki and a small box of chocolates which was a nice touch. The Spa at the hotel is absolutely fabulous and it’s a nice place to relax after a busy day. Always worth the visit. The receptionist who checked me out was very kind and remembered to welcome me back again. The bad: Overall, I had a very good stay here. There weren’t any major flaws during my stay, but there were some mistakes done by the restaurant Brasserie kitchen in my food order. However, the restaurant waiters were very kind and apologetic. They even offered me a complimentary salad while I waited for my dinner order to get corrected.

Crowne Plaza Helsinki - Hesperia

Helsinki|1.5km from The Worker Housing Museum
Stayed at this lovely hotel as part of our wedding anniversary in Helsinki. We had such a nice time. Excellent hotel, well located, lovely friendly helpful staff. Great room, good size on the eighth floor, room had an electric kettle, and a mini fridge which is always welcome. Large comfortable bed and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast buffet was excellent, very tasty food, and drinks, a good amount of choice, I had a cheese omelette made to order on several days and it was delicious. Good bar at the hotel, nice to relax and have a glass of wine at the end of the evening. We don't normally eat evening meals at the hotels we stay in, but the food we saw did look lovely, so on our last evening we were hungry but did not want too much. So we both had the salmon soup as a starter each snd that was it. It was delicious. The menu was small, and that is in no way a criticism. I actually prefer that. There are two small super markets nearby for any essentials, we got fresh milk for cups of tea each morning before breakfast. We bought our own teabags from the UK! we are British after all! And bought chocolate and water at the supermarket. We walked every where from the hotel for what we wanted to do, but there are trams/buses right outside the hotel if required. Plenty of cafes and restaurants near by. Would recommend Kuu restaurant. My favourite restaurant during our stay. Although to be fair the food was amazing. I really liked the Finnish food. All in all we had such a lovely holiday and would highly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

Scandic Pasila

Helsinki|1.51km from The Worker Housing Museum
Scandic Pasila was a great place - good price, beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfast, super service and close to modes of transportation. It's about a 12 minute walk from the Tripla Mall which is a railway stop. We could catch trains easily to the waterfront area where we caught trams to other parts of the city. The system is easy and convenient. There is even a tram stop right outside the hotel and we used that line several times. Our room had twin beds that pushed together to make a king-size bed. We had plenty of floor and storage space, a small fridge, desk, closet and nice, roomy bathroom. The windows had room darkening shades that helped with outside light at night. The nicest feature was that the floor of the bathroom was HEATED as well as the several-layer towel racks! It was nice to not feel cold on your feet in the bathroom and it was easy to rinse clothing items out and dry them on the towel racks - very nice! The hotel is big and well maintained. The staff helped with every question or need we had. We never encountered anyone unwilling too help us. The breakfast area is huge but can get congested if there is a conference in town or the hotel is full. You can take food to your room but we found space every day in the dining room. The food was plentiful and varied: meats, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, granola, cereals, breads, rolls, jams, muffins, breakfast casseroles, eggs, desserts, candy, hot and cold drinks. We will definitely stay there again and we will suggest it to friends traveling to Helsinki.

Scandic Park Helsinki

1 / 24-1 / 28, came to visit this city. 1. Hotel traffic: Take the light rail to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to the Central Railway Station, get off at the terminal (Central Railway Station), about 30 minutes, the ticket is 4.1 Euro; if the luggage is not too heavy, you can walk to the hotel, about 20 Minutes, 1.5 kilometers away, via the National Museum of Finland, the main library of the University of Helsinki. 2. Hotel facilities: clean and simple, typical Scandinavian style, the bed is very soft; remind two points: a) the hotel does not provide a kettle, slippers; b) long-haired girls suggest to bring a hair dryer, the hotel's hair dryer power is small; 3. Breakfast at the hotel: Breakfast is rich in variety, both cold and hot. The hotel provides oatmeal and pickles for friends who are not used to western food. If you are not used to eating cold food for breakfast, there is a microwave oven on the side and you can heat it by yourself. ; 4. Hotel services: The front desk and room attendants are very enthusiastic and friendly, and they also know how to protect the privacy of guests. One reminder: a) If you need to provide room cleaning and finishing services, you must hang the service tag on the door handle; 5. Around the hotel: The city of Helsinki is not big, the hotel can be reached on foot from various attractions, about 20-30 minutes, friends who do not want to hike, there is a taxi at the entrance of the hotel, the bus station is on the side; if you need to buy daily necessities / Food / fruit, there is a large supermarket K-supermarket on the way from the Central Railway Station (mentioned above) to the hotel; This is a good value hotel, I hope the content I wrote can help you a little.

Radisson Red Helsinki

It was my first time in Helsinki but we felt in love with Radisson Red! The rooms are brand new, every detail is thought out & top notch: the hangers in the towels, body lotion, steamer on the shelf, capsule coffee machine in Standard room, blackout curtains! All of these details really matters. The hotel is located right in the downtown area in walking distance to every interesting location you would like to visit. We had a fantastic Xmas dinner in the hotel restaurant: excellent food & serving! Did check out the welcome corner with flavored water & very tasty jellies – this is something incredible!.. The table football is located right in the lobby – it was real fun to play after perfect dinner! Special thank you for staff member Mira & the blond guy at FO desk – they are wow! We’ll come back definitely! See you soon Radisson Red!

There was someone at the counter until early in the morning. The two single beds in the small room were very big and very hot. It was very comfortable to take a shower as soon as it rained outside. The sound insulation was pretty good. The breakfast was delicious. Check-out was only at 12 o'clock. You can store it in the room. There is a luggage room for luggage. It is only five minutes away from the train station. It is convenient to go anywhere.
Scandic Meilahti

This was our first hotel on our 4-hotel 6-night staycation in Helsinki. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Meilahti Hospital area. My partner had an early morning check-up there and it was practical to stay the previous night nearby. Also in April, there was a point offer -50% off at this hotel. So one night was just 10000 Scandic points. Point stays are usually for standard rooms but as my partner is a Scandic TOP Level member, we were upgraded to a superior room. These rooms are spacious corner rooms with plenty of windows. It is nice that there are also windows in the bathroom. Probably because of the support column, it has been challenging to place the furniture. So the television could be watched only from the bed, not from the sofa or chair. The breakfast was pleasantly calm and had a good selection of food.
The Folks Hotel Konepaja

A very beautiful hotel with a charm and character in an old industrial building renovated in a fully-changed neighborhood, which deserves to be discovered. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast with typical Finnish products and excellent restaurant Albina. Nice sauna and common kitchen. Very good litter. In short, everything is organized for a great stay.
