Traveling through Richmond and this place was listed on the highway, we figured it would be perfect. It wasn't actually on the highway - but close enough. No connecting rooms available - so we all had to squish into a suite (family of 5) There were enough beds but it just felt cramped. The hotel needs an update. The pool was closed - under maintenance - fine by us, but if you want a pool don't go here. The vibe was just old and a bit creepy. Hard to describe, the couch was material and pleather - really old feeling. I needed another shower after staying here. The TV didn't work well - very few channels. Breakfast was fine - nothing special. Checkout was at noon which we loved because we liked having a lazy morning. So just a Meh hotel. served it's purpose but wouldn't recommend as a must stay!

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I really liked that I had the option to have a stove top and full size fridge! Definitely saves on the cost of constantly eating out.

Something has changed at this property...change of ownership or change of hospitality philosophy. I have stayed here for years with no issues. This stay was a trainwreck. While front desk staff was apologetic, property owner, who was also present, looked at me like I was crazy when i went to front desk to complain about the internet. Was dismissive, said he would restart the router, but service continued spotty, slow and would kick you off sporadically. While I am not a computer expert, I am relatively knowledgeable and former programmer. I had 4 devices with me, one a brand new dell laptop, and older dell laptop, ipad and iphone. internet was equally terrible on all four, extremely slow and unstable. Internet continued like this until i checked out the next day about 11am. Also, room had no smoke alarm, lights were burnt out over the mirror at the lavatory and there was no note pad or pen. I didn't even attempt to check out the continental breakfast. Previously when I stayed at this property, everything went well...it's not the hilton, but it was clean and everything worked. Be forewarned.

This hotel is wonderful for any last-minute or quick stays that you'll need to do in the Glen Allen or short pump area. The rooms are fairly clean, always very comfortable and well-maintained. The pool is fantastic. and the location is so convenient for many different food options shopping options or just needing to get around town.

This hotel is undergoing a renovation. We were traveling with several other people and needed 3 rooms. The first floor room that one of our travelers stayed in was perfect - newly remodeled, beautiful! The other two rooms on the third floor were very sad and in need of an update. Hence the renovation in progress! From what we could tell, the 4th floor is being renovated - lots of day time noise. Not so good if you want to sleep in or are doing work in the room. It seems there is a group of construction workers that are staying on the third floor. Those workers were consistently smoking on the third floor. Upon check in we mentioned it to the desk clerk that the third floor smelled like cigarettes, he stated he would check on it immediately. Late in the evening, we actually observed someone on the third floor hall smoking a cigarette. Our second morning, the smell of cigarette smoke filled our room at 5am. It was terrible! We mentioned it to a desk clerk again who said they would let the supervisor know. I felt like these serious complaints were not really being addressed - the 3rd floor smelled like cigarette smoke the day we left. In addition, we killed a spider in our room and the travelers in the newly remodeled room killed 2 bugs in their room. On our last day, signs were posted that the water would be off from 10am until 5pm for ”routine maintenance”. I would be really upset if I checked into a hotel and the water was off when I arrived. Positives - the newly remodeled rooms are beautiful! The breakfast is very nice - they are back to serving hot food and the employee working the breakfast is absolutely delightful and I am so sorry I did not get her name, but she is doing a fantastic job. Location is convenient to interstate, walkable to one sit-down restaurant and a coffee shop. In conclusion - call and see if the renovation is complete before booking!
