"Impossible to find a better place in Jianshui.
The rooms are located inside a historic stone and wood building that has been renovated respecting the culture of the place, creating very large rooms, in style, equipped with all possible technological comforts. The owner, Lawrence, speaks perfect English (a very rare thing to find in Jiuanshui), is a highly cultured person and can help you solve any type of problem as well as accompanying you on visits to the surroundings, making you enter the heart of Yunnan. It is the best place I have stayed in Yunnan, without a doubt. In this place I left my heart, respect and affection for Lawrence and all the staff."

"I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable.
The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special.
This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time.

"I stayed here when I came here in January this year. The location is very good. Just across the road is the north gate of Jianshui Ancient City, so I stayed here again when I came with my friends this time. The hotel room is quite large, with many tables for putting things, sofas, separate wet and dry bathrooms, and a large space, as well as a full-length mirror. The staff is also very good and the service is very thoughtful, especially Tang Ting, Li Sidi, and Yao Yun. I would like to praise them here. There are also rich varieties of breakfast, including grass sprout rice noodles, as well as salty and sweet flavors. I will stay here again next time I come"

"Su Yin has two locations in the ancient city, but this one is my favorite. It perfectly captures the Chinese aesthetic I love, with a delightful sense of a secluded, traditional courtyard. It's said to have been reinforced and renovated from an old, historic building. The pillows were excellent and very comfortable, which was a pleasant surprise for someone like me with neck problems. My only minor query is why the bed was designed so high (it felt like 80 cm!). If you're a bit on the shorter side, you'd literally have to climb into it. Oh, and I absolutely must commend the manager! He was busy attending to various issues in my room late into the night. My sincere thanks for all his hard work!"

"This time I stayed at the newly opened Boyue Hotel, the experience far exceeded expectations! As soon as I arrived at the door, the proprietress greeted me with a smile, and instantly dispelled the strangeness, as kind as I was at an acquaintance's house.
The hotel is newly opened, the facilities in the room are brand new, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the fatigue of the journey is relieved after lying down. The hygiene is particularly in place, from the corners of the bed to the bathroom are clean, and the details are hidden. The proprietress also recommended the surrounding food and play routes to us very intimately, and even shared the tips to avoid the flow of people, especially reliable.
From check-in to check-out, the whole process is surrounded by warmth, such a clean and humane hotel, must be five-star praise! Choose here next time."

"I arrived at the youth hostel at around 9pm. I booked it immediately after seeing the room. The room was clean and comfortable, well ventilated, and both the room and the bathroom had windows. The bedding was also clean, and the room was quite large. There was a large platform on the top floor, which was very comfortable to sit and enjoy the breeze at night. I will stay at this youth hostel again next time I go to Jianshui. The boss was also very nice. I didn't eat after arriving, so he recommended Lao Er BBQ nearby. I couldn't find it on the map, but it was delicious!"

GGuest UserLooking at the online evaluation, I chose Fanqi B&B. On the morning of submitting the order, I received a call from the store to inform the nearby parking lot. I arrived at the B&B that night. The small door face entered the house but there was no cave. The quadruple courtyard has a history of 100 years. The store was very enthusiastic and upgraded the room for us and introduced the historical story of the small courtyard, and provided us with attractions and food guides for visiting Jianshui. The room and bathroom are also very clean, the hot water temperature is also very high, and the breakfast is very rich. Provided according to our requirements, The homestay also provides free Hanfu for taking pictures and barbecue. There are not many tourists traveling on the staggered peaks and found the feeling of home in Fanqi, which made us start a pleasant journey.

The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short walk or ride to Jianshui's historic old town, the Confucius Temple, and the beautiful Zhu Family Garden. The architecture and local atmosphere were charming, and we felt like we got a real taste of traditional Yunnan culture.
Our hosts also provided great suggestions for local food and sights, which made our trip even more memorable. This homestay was the perfect base for discovering the beauty and history of Jianshui.

GGuest UserAt the end of the May Day holiday, I took my parents and children to stay at Jianshui Langshe Inn. The experience was great! The inn yard is super beautiful and the layout is exquisite. It makes people feel comfortable as soon as they step in, and the photos are also super photogenic. The room is newly renovated, clean and tidy, with all kinds of facilities, and it is safe and comfortable to live in. The boss is hospitable and the service is thoughtful and meticulous, which makes people feel like spring breeze. The meal breakfast provided by the inn is nutritious and delicious, starting a vibrant day. What's more worth mentioning is that the inn is in a very good location. It is right in the ancient city, which is very convenient for travel. The kitchen is fully equipped. Next to it is the vegetable market. We bought fresh ingredients to cook by ourselves and enjoy the fun of cooking. Adults and children are very satisfied with this stay. It is highly recommended to friends who want to relax and vacation in Jianshui!

YYunyousihaiBGA large family booked 4 rooms for two nights and stayed at his house in Jianshui Ancient City. It just wrapped up the small courtyard. The environment was antique, the boss was warm and upright, the room was clean, and the family was very satisfied and comfortable. I was doing the hotel industry, not worse than high-star hotels. Therefore, it must be seriously commented. The next day, mineral water, toothbrushes, and disposable toilet traps were all refilled, and they took the initiative to ask if they needed cleaning. The main environment is really good. The decoration details can be seen. In the evening, the boss took the initiative to put the seat in the small courtyard and we had a rest and chat. Next time we have the opportunity to go to Jianshui, we must live here again.

XXiangshuixiaoxiongI booked the room specifically because of the tatami bed. The guesthouse is located in a small alley opposite the Lin'an Prefectural Government Office. Since the old street is a pedestrian zone during the day, you'll need to walk around with your luggage for a while when you arrive.
The owner was very helpful and even gave us a day trip itinerary. In the evenings, you can chat and have tea with the owner on the first floor.
The room was quite clean; I stayed for two nights.

GGuest UserThe B&B is right opposite Chaoyang Tower. During holidays, traffic is controlled and self-driving cars cannot enter during peak hours. You have to wait until the crowds have left in the evening before you can enter. The section of road from Lin'an Station to the B&B is all on uneven stone roads. It is quite physically demanding to carry the suitcases by yourself.
The one we stayed in was the Goldfish Room, which is relatively cheap and has a wooden structure with a tile roof. The boss said that it faces the street and may not have good sound insulation. In fact, we were too tired to listen to the sounds outside and fell asleep directly.
The boss has two residences. The Goldfish House does not have a courtyard. You can enter directly into the lobby to settle in. The other one has a courtyard and the scenery is very good.

GGuest UserWe felt very welcomed right from the moment we stepped in. Front Counter staff were friendly n helpful. Kudos to 小李 & 苹 (the boss) who were very warm n hospitable.
Although lunch was optional, the boss actually called us while we were out to ask if we would like to come back for lunch, without hvg us pay for it. She said she treated us like friends coming over for a meal. We really appreciated that gesture.
Everything was great, from rooms, cleanliness to amenities, free flow of tea in the lobby.
Only not so good thing is the cobbled road leading to the rooms which made it difficult to roll our luggage. Breakfast is mostly the usual 米线 and local stuff. Its good if u don't mind their local style breakfast food.
Overall I am satisfied with this place.
