"I had a great time staying at Valero. Our suite was spacious and clean. The Wi-Fi worked very well, and the shower was working properly. We enjoyed the clean pool, and I had a great time in their well-equipped gym with a view. Right outside the hotel are a lot of shops, and it is just walking distance to Ayala Triangle Park. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others! Thank you!"

"I was very satisfied with the facilities and service. However, being a light sleeper, the noise from the air conditioner outdoor unit in the next room disturbed my sleep, and I found it inconvenient that there was no Wi-Fi in the gym. There are many shopping malls and various restaurants nearby for dining out, but the room also had kitchenware, which was great for cooking. I visit Manila frequently, and I'd like to stay here again in the future."

"I was very satisfied with this hotel. It was very clean, and there were security guards who opened the doors for guests entering and exiting. The room was spacious and smelled lovely. It's close to the airport, only about a 10-minute ride by ride-sharing app. It's also super convenient for SM Mall, just a 10-minute taxi ride away. The breakfast the next day was fantastic and had a great variety, especially suitable for Chinese guests, with items like siu mai, braised chicken feet, and congee. The food tasted really good."

"Stayed for a night with bestie. Check in was a breeze. Room was clean and very spacious. There’s a fridge, a safe and tv. Complete toiletries and comfy bed. MOA and Manila Bay is about 1km on foot. For entertainment , City of Dreams is about an 8min walk. Sequoia Hotel seems to be popular with families. Pool was a nice spot to chill and have a drink or two. Breakfast was nothing special. But good enough. I feel as though it’s not worth the price. There’s a 7-11 around yhe corner for a quick, affordable fix."

"The shower had great water pressure. A toothbrush was provided in the room. I was able to borrow a slightly more high-end hairdryer from the front desk. The air conditioning wasn't very strong, so I positioned it to blow directly onto the bed while I slept. It was super convenient with a 7-Eleven and McDonald's right in front. Jollibee, Intramuros, and the train station were also within walking distance."

"The location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient. Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good. From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful."

"Stayed at Discovery Suites Manila. The room was spacious and nice, very comfortable for a relaxing stay. Service was okay—staff were polite and responsive enough. The pool is quite small, so it may not be ideal if you’re looking for a bigger leisure area. It would also be better if booking platforms like Trip.com included a breakfast option by default to add more value to the stay. Overall, a good experience mainly because of the room quality."

"Stayed at lyf Malate Manila for a night and it exceeded expectations in the heart of Malate’s buzzing scene. The location on Malvar corner Vasquez Street is unbeatable—steps from Robinsons Place Manila mall for food courts, shops, and easy access to Rizal Park, Manila Bay Beach, and the LRT."

"The room facilities were quite old, and the bathroom, in particular, looked very cheap. The bathroom exhaust fan wasn't working, and there was a sewer smell coming from the drain. The sound insulation of the room windows was terrible; I barely got any sleep for three nights because it was so noisy, even at 2 or 3 in the morning the noise didn't lessen. The room cleaning was strangely half-done; I left in the morning and came back to find the bathroom cleaned but the bed untouched, exactly as I had left it, which was confusing. Overall, the stay was not good. I'm very familiar with BGC in Manila, and I didn't expect the room this time to be so disappointing. I hope it was just a 'bug' I happened to encounter at the hotel. It really wasn't worth the price."

"This hotel has been a long-standing business hotel in the area. The location is great, the staff are friendly, and it's perfect for business trips in the vicinity. The street environment is pleasant, and it offers good value for money. However, the water pressure is low, and compared to newer buildings, the room condition is something to consider."
