Amazing ryokan : amazingly stunning villa rooms matched by exceptional attentive service. My second stay at Kai Aso, and one of many Kais (Izumo, Nikko, anjin, Matsumoto, enshu, kinugawa). Moving on to Kai Beppu for the next 2 nights and Kai Unzen for 2 nights thereafter. Hope they uphold the great Kai experiences I had thusfar

The Staff was incredibly attentive, patient and accommodating. The room was very spacious and clean, and the patio hot bath was excellent. The beds and pillows were super comfortable- the perfect balance of soft yet just firm enough.

This hotel offers extremely poor value for the exorbitant cost. The bathroom is dark and cramped. Without natural sunlight, it’s genuinely difficult to see. We mentioned this to the front desk, and they brought up a reading lamp a few hours later. This obviously didn’t really help, because what was needed was more overhead lighting.

It was my first time at Hoshino Resorts, so I made a reservation with high expectations. I was looking forward to seeing what kind of service they would provide based on media information and reviews, so I may have expected too much. First of all, the room was the furthest location on the premises. Regarding that, I thought it would have been better to be a little closer, but I think it can't be helped. I was told that I would pick up and drop off the cart, but after all I only used it once on the way home. Do you feel lucky if you don't say it? To make it a little easier to use, shall we pick you up in a cart before dinner and before breakfast? I wanted you to be considerate enough to ask. Because it's over 100,000 yen for two people per night... I was guided to my room, and after confirming my request for dinner and breakfast time, etc., after the staff returned, I checked the open-air bath, and found fine algae in the hot water. There was a lot of dirt like this. I took a bath because it was a chance, but after leaving the open-air bath, I had to wash off the dirt in the indoor bathtub. It may be unavoidable because it is a circulating hot spring that heats and adds water, but at least I want you to drain the hot water every time, clean it, and fill it with hot water. That was definitely not Yunohana. It looked like dead leaves that had fallen into the bathtub and had not been removed before being soaked in hot water and turned into fine pieces. I know that the leaves and insects that get into the bathtub after cleaning are unavoidable due to the nature of the open-air bath, but that dirt is different... Even when I stayed at other reasonably priced inns with open-air baths, the I've never had so much algae in it. At breakfast, it was difficult to ask the waiter for refills of rice or refills of tea, as the staff were far away. Also, there is only one person who is so far away that even if you call out to them, they will not notice you. At another inn where I stayed the day before, the dining room was a private room, but I was able to ask for refills of rice and tea at the right time, and I didn't ask for it, so I felt a special difference. to the bad. At Kai Aso, we had breakfast at the latest time, but after that, when we went to the fireplace, the fire was out. Also, I was disappointed that I could not inform you about the tomato juice and milk that other customers had. Still, I wanted to have it, so even though it was embarrassing, I had the milk poured by myself. I was seen by the front desk, but that person didn't serve me, and I didn't even call the person in charge. but. When I was dealing with each and every staff face-to-face, the smiles, language, and conversation were pleasant, but I expected that they would take care of me without saying anything. There was no. Or rather, there may be situations where there is only one staff member at a distance that is out of reach. I may have expected too much, such as the service and consideration that only Hoshino Resorts has seen in the media. It was a disappointing stay because it was not cheap. I felt that they were understaffed. Except for the open-air bath, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The floor heating was also warm. The open-air bath and the bonfire had a nice a**osphere. Had it not been for the dirt, I think I would have enjoyed it longer. I thought it was an interesting attempt to have furoshiki as an amenity. The fact that the ingredients, manufacturer, and brand are not written on lotions, etc., may be due to the fact that the containers have been changed. Unfortunately the TV was small. Wouldn't it be better not to have it? I thought that a Bluetooth wireless speaker that could be connected to a smartphone would be an interesting piece of equipment. Overall, I felt that the service was not commensurate with the price. I think the price range is comparable to Yufuin Gosanke, but I don't think I can recommend Kai Aso to anyone I know. If you are looking for something like this, Hoshino Resort will not be a candidate. For that reason, I have to say that this content is very bad for this price (about 120,000 yen). Half price (60,000 yen) is bad, and 20% (24,000 yen) is normal. Even if the food is good, the hot spring (and the inside of the bathtub) is full of dirt and garbage... I don't care if the floor is dirty or there are spider webs. It was disappointing that I was so disappointing... I hope that future improvements will be made for those who are longing for Hoshino Resorts and will be making a reservation.

It was the first Hoshino Resort. From the moment I arrived, I was completely satisfied with the hospitality, the food, the room, and the scenery. The open-air bath and jacuzzi in the room were very nice. I would like to go again. I was also careful of social tans and felt relieved. I'm sure it's easy for mold to grow in places, but I'd be happy if the only mold that was visible as soon as I entered the detached room was resolved.

This was my first time staying at a Hoshino Resort, but it was an extraordinary experience and a wonderful anniversary. This time, I decided to stay for a special anniversary, but I was so satisfied with the hospitality, food, room, and view that I wish I had stayed there sooner. The open-air bath and jacuzzi in the room were very good.

It was the kind of inn that I didn't want to leave. The staff's service, the food, the hot springs, and the scenery were all the best among the inns I've stayed in. It was my first time using a star resort, but I also used other facilities. I want to come to Aso again.

A couple in their 40s and two elementary school students (girls) were taken care of. About 30-40 minutes from Kokonoe interchange. The a**osphere of Mt. Aso and Mt. Yufu is perfect. There is an entrance in the middle of the slope, and there is a carriage porch of the main building. The parking lot is about 12 cars. Maybe there are other parking lots. In the main building, there are places where you can enjoy things such as the front desk, dining room, and coffee. The rooms are luxurious and spacious from the outside. The building is surrounded by nature! Rather, it feels like there is a building in the forest! In the case of a quadruple room, there are 2 pets and 2 sets of futons in the Japanese-style room, so you can sleep comfortably! Wi-Fi is impeccable. The bath is very beautiful and has a jet bath. I think it is one of the best indoor baths in Yufuin and Kurokawa Onsen. Two people can take a leisurely bath in the open-air bath. I feel fine with 4 people. At night, there are bonfires and trees lit up. A**osphere is good! The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that if you don't like insects, it might be tough in the summer. Also, people with disabilities can use carts to move around the facility, but the baths and open-air baths are not fully supported. However, if there is someone who can assist, it can be cleared. Among the amenities, the towels such as bath towels are wonderful! I want water supply power at home! Meals are served in the main building with a time system in order to keep distance between customers, which gives a sense of security! The seasoning may be a little light for people in their 20s and 30s. Now that I am in my 40s, I am satisfied! It was a menu where you can enjoy the taste of the ingredients. Elementary school cooking is a wonderful word! This is the first Japanese food for children that is so well prepared! You can feel Japanese food properly! Children may like hamburgers and fried shrimp, but I think they need the opportunity to eat Japanese food properly, so it was great for our family. I would rate hospitality as a 9 out of 10. I think it's wonderful. This site has a 5-point rating, but I think there is a 4.3. On the day I stayed, the temperature in the neighboring town was 36 degrees, so it didn't feel like a hot spring, but here it's over 1,000 meters above sea level, so it's cool. I slowly entered the open-air bath at 5 o'clock in the evening! Hot springs in the middle of summer are decided here!
