Great hotel to stay in Prince Bay, right near exit C of Taiziwan station. It’s across the street from K11 mall, and 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal which is how I got here. Finding the entrance was a little tricky, but the security guard is there. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. Clean, new hotel with good breakfast. I would stay again if coming to Prince Bay.

Great location, only maybe like a 5-6 minute walk to SeaWorld. The room was small but very cozy and provided for all my needs. The front desk was decent too, always saying hello whenever I passed by to reach the elevators. Lastly, the included breakfast is actually very quality for a hotel that cheap (coming from an American at least)!

The staff is polite and nice. The area isn’t as I was expecting it, but is close to the bay if you want only to stay around bay area. I booked also the breakfast, is not much to choose but the noodle soup is very good to try. The hotel maybe needs some renovations. The best part of this hotel is definitely the bed lingerie! I don’t know what material they use but is so soft and comfortable!

The location of this hotel and the views are absolutely stunning. It is a 5 minute walk to Shekou sea world and also to the metro station. good eating options. The hotel is on the 35th floor so you will need to tell the security where you are going as there is no signage in the lobby. The staff where very friendly and the room was also very comfortable. The toilet is electronic and is an interesting feature and does leave ambient light on coming from the toilet so if you looking for absolute darkness to sleep in there is light from the toilet that shines into the room all minor issues for me as the rest of the service and room is outstanding There is also a luckin coffee in the lobby which was a bonus for me or if you need your morning coffee

Excellent
XXiatianbuaishuijueI chose a hotel near the border crossing because I had an early flight to Hong Kong Airport the next morning. It's just three metro stops from Futian, right at Huanggangcun metro station. Getting a taxi from the hotel to the bus station in the morning was quick and convenient. It would also be very convenient for Futian Port, although taking the High-Speed Rail to West Kowloon and then the Airport Express might be less crowded.
I picked Intercity Hotels because I'd stayed at one in Nanchang before and was quite satisfied with everything. They offered water upon check-in, and the room was clean and odor-free. Things like the mini-bar, laundry, dryer, and gym are pretty standard at this price point, but the decor style, attention to detail, service consciousness, and management level of an international brand are still superior to domestic hotel chains.
Although the booking warned about nearby construction, I barely heard any noise during the day and slept soundly through the night. The view was also excellent; opening the curtains, you could see the contradictions and miniature of Shenzhen's rapid development since its reform and opening-up. Being on a high floor also helped escape the hustle and bustle.
For supper, I had 'cheong fun' (rice noodle rolls), and for breakfast, I had 'he fen' (river noodles) – I forgot to take pictures. There were plenty of choices, including Western and Chinese dishes, cold cuts, and hot dishes, with some Cantonese specialties. It was convenient for those who didn't want to go out. Food delivery from nearby Huanggang was also very fast; after arriving at the hotel, a robot delivered it directly to my room.
Overall, I'm always very satisfied with Intercity Hotels and look forward to exploring different Intercity properties in the future.
BBroAlanTapsThe room was clean and tidy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The front desk service was excellent, and the location was super convenient. The room even had Xiao Du AI voice control, which was a nice touch. Chain hotels definitely offer quality assurance. Qiu Guo is always my top choice for a stay – highly recommended!
GGuest UserA perfect stay at the JW Marriott Shenzhen, all thanks to the professional assistance of Guest Services Executive Reina! Reina’s genuine smile and warm, generous service made a real difference. She handled check-in efficiently and thoroughly, proactively asking about my preferences and arranging the room accordingly – truly thoughtful. The room itself was spacious, exquisitely decorated with great style. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were excellent, making a relaxing bath super enjoyable. Throughout my stay, Reina provided attentive follow-up, promptly responding to and resolving all my inquiries and ad-hoc requests with full professionalism. The hotel’s overall environment is upscale, the service standards are high, and the breakfast offers a rich variety of quality options. A big shout-out to Reina – JW Marriott will definitely be my first choice for future trips!
GGuest UserPros
- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.
WWennuandehuanandiquThe hygiene is good, and the service attitude is great. It's definitely worth staying here. They provide disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, and there's free shower gel and shampoo in the shower area, making it suitable for anyone to stay.

SSeven1127The service is excellent. The room is clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Every amenity feels high-quality and well-designed, ensuring a great night's sleep. Breakfast is abundant and varied, and the service is incredibly attentive. Highly recommended – I always stay here when I'm on a business trip.
Mminor meEnvironment: All beautiful encounters happen by chance.
Our serendipitous meeting will bring you joy.
Service: 🌟 The service at this hotel is truly top-notch! From check-in to check-out, every detail was meticulously taken care of. The staff's smiles and warmth made me feel right at home. I'll definitely come back here next time.
Hygiene: Excellent. The surroundings are beautiful, the room is spotless, and the front desk staff are very welcoming and attentive.
Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!
GGuest UserMy stay at Crowne Plaza Futian was quite hassle-free this time. The entire check-in process was very smooth, without any lengthy or complicated procedures, which made the experience very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade, which was a very thoughtful touch. When I provided feedback on a small detail, the issue was addressed and improved very promptly. You can really tell that the hotel is genuinely dedicated to providing excellent service, not just going through the motions. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Futian.
AAnonymous UserArrived quite late, but the hotel's location is still good and there's free parking. Check-in instructions were clear, and the front desk staff was very helpful and efficient. The only downside was that the room had poor ventilation. I hope they can improve the overall service quality.
