I cannot praise this hotel enough.  1. Location: Prime location. Not too far from metro. Right in the middle of the city centre.  2. Service: The reception staff were very helpful. I received help with bookings, suggestions and extending my stay. 3. Room: I received a free upgrade to a room on 2nd floor. The AC worked well. Neat and clean.  4. Restaurant: Hotel restaurant in the basement charged only 30RMB for an extensive breakfast. Loved it.  Would definitely go back to this place in the future

Highly recommended! Both the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties were super friendly. The food (whether breakfast or dinner) is definitely what I'd recommend most – it's rare to find such delicious breakfast, and they even offer free late-night snacks! The location is also fantastic, within walking distance of the high-speed train station. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is located in a *hutong* (traditional alleyway), so you'll need to communicate clearly with your taxi driver. Apart from that, I truly recommend this hotel!

We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. One of the biggest advantages is its location in a hutong where cars are actually able to enter, which is quite rare since many hutongs are too narrow for vehicles. This made arrival and departure much more convenient. The staffs were a highlight of the experience, mostly young, energetic, and genuinely friendly. They created a very welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Since the hotel doesn’t have a lift, we really appreciated how the staffs kindly helped carry luggage up the stairs to the room. Their helpfulness and positive attitude truly stood out. We also loved the overall vibe of the place. The hutong itself has a rich cultural charm, and there’s even a hutong museum located along the same lane, which adds to the unique experience. Despite being tucked away in a traditional setting, it’s still very convenient. It’s just a short walk of a few hundred meters to the main road where you can find plenty of eateries and local food options. Overall, a great stay with warm hospitality and a unique cultural atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic hutong experience with modern convenience.

We checked in on Sunday morning and were warmly welcomed by a helpful receptionist who assisted with luggage storage. Hotel room is clean, spacious, and well-furnished. The hotel location is great, between Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing. However, scaffolding was set up around the building due to repair works. Despite this, the staff handled things well—helping us change rooms, fixing minor issues, and even returning items we left behind. A staff member named Baozi stood out for his professionalism and helpfulness, especially when assisting us with Didi transport for our group and luggage. Breakfast was average but convenient, starting at 6:30 a.m., though we missed it one day due to an early trip to the Badaling Great Wall.

Located at the foot of the Imperial City in Chaodongli, east of the Forbidden City, this three-year project seamlessly blends cultural hotels, art spaces, trendy dining, and lifestyle experiences. It's not just a prime spot for urban getaways, but also a must-visit MiniMall that's young, trendy, artistic, and full of diversity. "Chaodongli Cultural Hotel" materializes the concept of "great seclusion in the city while forgetting its surroundings," allowing you to immerse yourself in the urban environment yet feel a sense of naturalness. The minimalist wabi-sabi-inspired room design creates a tranquil and bright space with the philosophy of "Less is more," delivering an immediate sense of physical and mental comfort. Adopting the ancient Chinese aesthetic principles of "greatness has no corners, greatness is achieved late, great sound is silent, and great form has no shape" as the hotel's room zoning, it harmonizes with the four cardinal directions and subtly aligns with an ancient Chinese aesthetic concept, aiming to promote natural beauty rather than artificial one.

We stayed at Refactoring Chaodongli with our child over the weekend, and I was initially worried that the 'cultural' aspect might be too dull for them, but it completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel masterfully blends the historic fabric of old Beijing's hutongs with modern design. The common areas feel like a small art gallery, and my child was captivated by the light and shadow installation in the lobby for quite a while. The room was thoughtfully designed, preserving the old house's beam and pillar structure, yet boasting smart and comfortable amenities. The family-friendly details were also on point: they had prepared children's slippers and toiletries in advance, along with a delicate tea set and a huge bathtub from which we could enjoy the hutong views. The whizzing electric bikes, the red wall at the hutong entrance, the bustling sounds of people coming and going... it was the authentic taste of Beijing life! As for the food, we had dinner at Yuanshan Korean Restaurant downstairs and breakfast at Jingyou the next day, both of which were excellent additions. This stay wasn't just a rest; it was a vivid lesson in hutong life for my child. From the accommodation to the food, everything was impeccable. This is definitely my top choice for family stays in Beijing!

This hotel is super convenient, just a short walk from Wangfujing subway station. It's right across from Wangfujing Bookstore and diagonally opposite the Joy City mall. The location is excellent! Compared to other options, this place is pretty good, with simple decor. I booked too late to get a window room, so I ended up with an 'inner window' that just opens to a corridor for ventilation, with a picture covering the view. I was told that for safety reasons, hotels on Wangfujing Street aren't allowed to have windows that open. I'd considered staying at Orange Crystal and Atour, but after checking them out, I felt this place was better. There's a McDonald's downstairs, and just a short walk away you'll find Daohuxiang, Zhang Yiyuan, Matcha Bing Jing Ling, and the department store – everything is so close! The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. They offer free cherry tomatoes downstairs, and breakfast is simple but good. For a holiday stay at around 700 yuan a night, I think it's perfectly acceptable. When I checked out, they even gave me a fridge magnet! My only minor complaint is that my room was on a lower floor, but otherwise, everything was fine and I felt very comfortable. 💕

Location is good, although car couldn’t drive in but short walking distance to main road is fine. Staff is friendly and helpful, recommended us to take level 1 room which is very convenient to get hot water from lobby. Breakfast choices are limited, only grab some in the morning before start our itinerary of the day. Hotel amenities with clothes dryer is an important factor for me to book this hotel (Per trip and hotel information, it should have clothes dryer), however we were informed the clothes dryer is spoilt after we washed the clothes, which is a minus point for me. Hope hotel can take note on this feedback.

The location is excellent, with a subway station just a hundred meters away. It's very close to Wangfujing Street, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and Oriental Plaza. The staff were okay, a bit cool but still helpful. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities show their age. However, the room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was just right—not too soft, not too firm. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, though mostly Western. The taste was great. The restaurant staff were very warm and friendly. We had a minor issue on the first night, but it was quickly resolved. Overall, it offers great value for money and I'd recommend it.

Qiu Guo Four-Courtyard Hotel is located at No. 64, Li Shi Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing, which has a history of 700 years. Situated in the heart of the capital city, it belongs to the Qiu Guo Hotel Group. The hotel’s surroundings are a blend of historical and cultural sites and modern commercial facilities. It is within walking distance of Wangfujing Street and is close to Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Palace Museum, Yonghe Temple, Gongfu Palace, Xichao Lake, China Art Museum, Nanluoguxiang, and many other attractions. The location is strategic and convenient for travel. Li Shi Hutong was known as “Sheep Market Hutong” during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Later, it was renamed “Li Shi” based on its phonetic similarity, symbolizing the concept of “courteousness towards scholars and humble servants.” This area was once the former residence of Liu Yong, a prominent scholar during the Qing Dynasty. Prominent figures such as Bin Jun, the magistrate of Wuchang during the late Qing Dynasty, also lived here. The hutong is home to numerous grand mansions, showcasing rich cultural heritage. The 64th courtyard served as the office of the Indonesian embassy’s military attaché and later became the location of the China Youth Daily newspaper’s headquarters, highlighting its diverse historical layers. The hotel, established in 2015, is themed around “Hutong Four-in-One · Beijing’s Vernacular Charm of the Republic of China.” It skillfully integrates modern facilities and design while preserving the traditional layout and historical character of the courtyard houses. The 29 boutique rooms feature various types of beds, including king-size, double, loft, and family rooms, offering comfort, warmth, and comprehensive amenities. The hotel also features a “Courtyard Living Room” teahouse, a Beijing-style dining and cultural reading space, creating an immersive experience of life in the hutongs. Qiu Guo Hotel is a chain of urban cultural boutique hotels launched by Qiu Guo Group. The Qiu Guo Courtyard features a fresh and natural design style, blending modern simplicity with traditional ethnic elements, promoting a journey of “simple happiness.” The hotel is equipped with vitamin refueling stations and a deep cleaning system, aiming to provide warm, healthy, and comfortable accommodations for guests. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful courtyard amidst the bustling city life, feeling the passage of time in the old Beijing alleys and the tranquility and comfort of modern living.

The staff was nice when we checked in, offering to help us take our luggage to our room. They gave us the room on the first level for our convenience as there were elderly but the room reeks of a smoke smell. But they quickly resolved it and gave us another room which was alright. Upon staying, they also gave a snack platter which consists of tomatoes, apples and oranges and small snacks and the fruits were super sweet and nice. Everything was ok, they were responsive via WeChat and generally the stay was alright. But when we were checking out and wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel before heading out to explore, this time round they did not offer to take our luggage and told us to just rolled it in and set aside at one corner.o

BBeybeybeyEverything else was pretty good. The breakfast quality was decent, and the service was prompt. However, perhaps due to the premium on space, the rooms felt too cramped and close together. The soundproofing was terrible; I was woken up all four nights. Even after changing rooms once, the issue persisted. The design of the doors caused a lot of noise when closing, and there were frequent alarms indicating an unlocked door. It's inevitable to encounter neighbors with different schedules when staying at a hotel, compounded by kids playing in the hallways and the cleaning staff starting very early. This is just my personal experience, and I'll choose a different hotel next time.

SSowPengRoom is clean, though a bit small. There’s no individual air conditioner, but knew that they have central heating in winter till end of March. In April it was a bit cold inside the room (at first ), but later I found out could adjust a little, and getting more comfortable everyday. Shower has ample hot water. There’s window but not facing the road. The best is the location. It was near Wangfujing shopping area, just need to cross the road, we had a few meals in the APM mall, which is just right after crossing the road. A “Macau centre” right opposite the hotel has McDonald’s/ Peets cafe if you want some other choices, most importantly it has “花家怡园”, which is a super nice roast duck restaurant and really worth a try aside from the famous “四季民福”。walking distance to the palace museum (故宮), while walking towards there you will pass by a very affordable breakfast shop 南城香. Also only 10 minutes walk to the famous 王府世纪if you would want to dress like a princess/prince from the past. 10-15 minutes walk to two outlets of 四季民福if you wanna try. There’s a Starbucks next door, and the jinyuhutong mrt is also next door from hotel. It’s easy to call a didi too, if you don’t wanna take public transport.

CCaseBooked this place because it was relatively cheaper than some other places that are smaller and farther. Room was huge, as we were just two friends so we have enough space for both of us. There was a laundry room on our floor you can use, and they have a robot to deliver food from your app deliveries. Location was, kinda far from the main attractions but thankfully didi is cheap. They change towels everyday but we noticed that the floors are sometimes not mopped enough for our standard but it was clearly passable. They have centralized air-conditioning so you can’t make it cooler on days that are warm unless it’s their summer season so you have to note that. Overall, they were nice to us with our queries and requests. Room’s spacious and they also have good breakfast option!

GGuest UserGot an upgrade! This trip was such a pleasant surprise. The staff here are absolutely wonderful. The location is superb, right on Qianmen Street, with a Lawson convenience store just across the road. It's on the central axis of the city, and you can walk to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the National Museum in about ten minutes – everything is so close! This made my trip incredibly convenient. When you're traveling, a good location is key, and since it's off-peak season, the price was great. Definitely excellent value for money. The staff are also fantastic and truly think of their guests; they even helped me cancel a more expensive booking to get a cheaper one.

MMaria.ezI usually struggle to feel comfortable in hotels because I’m very much a “homey” person, but this place truly made me feel at home. The first thing that hits you is the size – the square meters are crazy. I’ve never stayed in such a huge apartment before, and it has a real wow-effect. The apartment has absolutely everything – dishwasher, plates, knives, bottle opener, you name it. I also really liked the shampoos and conditioners, which are much better quality than what you usually find in hotels. The bathroom is spacious, the design is lovely, and everything feels high quality – from the washing machine down to the shower gel. The swimming pool and breakfast were also very enjoyable. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The place is so big that the cleaning isn’t always perfect – we noticed some signs of missed cleaning, and unfortunately we even saw a cockroach in the kitchen. I also noticed that the kitchen staff didn’t wear hats or hair restraints, which was a bit off-putting. Location-wise, it’s far from tourist attractions and the subway – it took us about 40 minutes by taxi to get to the Forbidden City. Still, despite these issues, this is a wonderful place to stay. I fell in love with the Ascott chain and would definitely stay here again next time. Highly recommended!

CCharlesjuranbeizhanyongThis is my Nth stay at this hotel. I've been staying here since 2017 when I applied for my US visa, and for the past few years, it's been my go-to when transferring to high-speed rail after returning to China. First, the pros: the rooms are spacious, it offers great value for money, has a swimming pool, and the rooms even have bathtubs – it's hard to find these amenities in hotels at a similar price point. It's an established star-rated hotel, and it's very close to Beijing Chaoyang High-Speed Railway Station and not far from Capital Airport. You can also get a late check-out until 2 PM (they've improved this significantly; it wasn't great back in 2017). The service is also very good. Now for the cons: being an older hotel, the facilities are relatively dated. In the room I stayed in this time, the bathroom door wouldn't close, but since I was alone, it wasn't a big deal. The next day, when I took a shower, only hot water came out, and I couldn't adjust it to cold. However, I was in a rush to pack and check out, so I just quickly finished my shower without contacting staff – I'm sure they could have resolved it. A 500 deposit is required upon check-in, even if you book through platforms like Trip.com or Fliggy, credit-based waiver isn't an option. Once, I didn't have a domestic card, but they accepted Japanese Yen as a deposit, and I was able to check in smoothly. I saw staff doing a live stream in the lobby; I assume booking through Douyin might be even cheaper.

Ddfgts..........n85...2I frequently stay at the Grand Millennium Beijing, and every time I check in, the front desk, especially Nancy, always arranges my preferred room. However, my breakfast experience during my last two stays hasn't been great. You have to queue to swipe your card to enter the restaurant, and some of the staff seem impatient. Once inside, it's hard to find a seat, and no one guides you. It's like a pure self-service, free-for-all, much like a marketplace. The staff in suits standing at the restaurant entrance didn't seem to be doing anything. They asked me which company I was with and why I was in Beijing, almost like an interrogation, which was a very unpleasant experience.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel has an absolutely superb location! I'm not sure why it's called a 'restaurant' (饭店), I didn't specifically ask. I also didn't see any F&B department, so maybe it's been repurposed? Facilities: The decor is very simple and basic. Nothing too special, but it's very clean. Hygiene: Quite clean. The room was thoughtfully arranged and tidied, and there was even a small tea set. Environment: The exterior looks beautiful, but the interior decoration is just average. Service: Excellent. They specifically called me before I arrived to confirm and mentioned that the room had a slight smell of disinfectant, in case I minded. I didn't smell it when I got there. But I was really touched and warmed by the front desk's gesture. I especially want to commend the young man at the front desk; he was very conscientious and responsible. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit the area. It's incredibly convenient, very close to the Forbidden City. Plus, as soon as you step out of the alley, you're at Longfu Temple. Pretty good!
