Discovery Bay Hotel in Hong Kong is truly an ideal urban sanctuary. Nestled on Lantau Island, it boasts panoramic views of both mountains and the sea. The pristine white, triangular design of the seaside chapel beautifully complements the ocean-view swimming pool, creating a perfect blend of European charm and natural scenery. The hotel also offers a rich array of experiences, including beach camping and parent-child activities. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a tranquil corner for healing and relaxation, where every detail exudes a sense of leisurely sophistication. It's truly a five-star recommendation.

First time here, stayed on the executive floor, and overall I was quite satisfied. The front desk service was excellent; there was a young man whose Mandarin was clear and fluent, and he was very warm and attentive. He processed our early check-in, introduced the hotel's free shuttle bus, and even lent us a universal adapter. I think his name was A**son – I made a note of it at the time, but I've forgotten half of it since… A special shout-out to him! (May 2nd)
The downside is that the hotel was too cold… The central air conditioning couldn't be turned off, and the fan was noisy at night.
Also, I hope the executive lounge adds more staff who can speak Mandarin.

Travelled to Mui Wo for the UTMB Translantau and this hotel was within walking distance to the start line. The staff were friendly, the room basic and comfortable for me as a single traveller.
I think families may enjoy it as well, for the hotel is in close proximity to the beach.
Something inconvenient was that it was a short walk (about 300m) from where the taxi could drop me off.

The hotel offers airport shuttle service, which made it super easy to find. All the staff were incredibly polite. I was a bit worried at first, but my actual experience was fantastic. The driver was very courteous, and the shuttles were always on time. Both the front desk and restaurant staff were very polite and accommodating. Overall, a great experience! If you're going to Disneyland, this is definitely my top recommendation – excellent value for money. For the return trip from Disneyland, it's just two subway stops to Tung Chung, and if you time it right, there's a shuttle to take you back to the hotel. The breakfast is quite good for a four-star hotel, and the lobby feels more like a five-star. The room was a bit small, but that's normal for Hong Kong.

Two years later, I'm back in Tung Chung! Last time, Four Points left a great impression, so this time, my whole family unanimously agreed to stay here again.
It's normal for hotel prices to go up during holidays. Four Points' price increase was reasonable, not much more expensive than during the summer.
This trip was all about taking it easy. Lantau Island really feels like escaping the city's hustle and bustle.
Considering the price point, the hotel is relatively new, and the rooms are much larger than those on Hong Kong Island. Excellent value!
If you're not in a hurry, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Given the cost of living in Hong Kong, the price for the buffet breakfast is definitely worth it. The variety is good, and the quality is also decent.
Getting around is also convenient. There are shuttle buses to and from the airport and the MTR station.
(It was a bit difficult to find the hotel shuttle bus after landing at the airport – maybe a sign could be put up?)

Stayed at Novotel Citygate and wanted to share a helpful tip about transportation. The hotel actually provides a free shuttle bus service from the airport, which is very convenient. You can simply ask for details at the airport information counter.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know about this in advance, so I ended up taking a bus to Tung Chung Station instead. I wouldn’t recommend this option if you’re traveling with luggage. Even though the bus has a designated space for bags, it was very crowded and quite difficult to manage multiple suitcases.
Overall, the hotel stay was good, but definitely take advantage of the free shuttle—it will make your arrival much smoother!

We stayed at Silvermine Beach Resort for one night and had a comfortable experience overall. The room was quite spacious, with a table and chairs as well as a very large bed, which made it feel relaxing and practical. The location was especially nice if you are looking for somewhere calm and quiet.
Check-in was uncomplicated and smooth. Do note that they require a HKD 500 deposit, either in cash or by credit card. The room was clean, and the shower was good as well. We did not try the breakfast or other facilities, so I cannot comment on those.
One small thing to note is that an extra toothbrush cost HKD 5. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable short stay.

We took our kids to Hong Kong Disneyland and decided to stay at the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung, which totally exceeded our expectations! The hotel's location is perfect, just a 15-minute drive to the park. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus every half hour to and from Tung Chung MTR station, making it super convenient for shopping at Citygate Outlets. It's truly family-friendly for those traveling with children.
We booked a spacious ocean-view connecting room. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of the mountains and sea, and our child was captivated watching planes take off and land for ages. The room even thoughtfully included handrails suitable for elderly guests – the attention to detail was impeccable. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. They even provided a full range of amenities for children.
Breakfast at the Lobby Lounge restaurant offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes. The fresh seafood and made-to-order noodle station were incredibly popular; our child loved it so much they had two bowls! The staff were all smiles throughout our stay, and check-in and check-out were efficient and quick. They even proactively recommended hiking routes on Lantau Island, showing how warm and professional they are. We'll definitely rebook here on our next trip to Hong Kong, and I've already recommended this hotel to all my friends planning a Disneyland visit!

The location is fantastic, very close to the airport. Although there's no shuttle service directly from the hotel at the moment, you can take the Novotel shuttle, and public transport is also very convenient. Downstairs, you'll find an outlet mall and the MTR station, and the cable car station is right next door. It's only about a 10-minute bus ride to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Hong Kong Port.
The service is excellent; both the front desk and lounge staff are very friendly.
The room was very clean. The sky garden is beautiful.
Breakfast options were a bit limited.
The lounge offers an amazing view for plane spotting.

This hotel is incredibly convenient for attending shows at the AsiaWorld-Expo. It's just a two-minute walk over the sky bridge to get there. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to both the airport and Tung Chung MTR station, running every half hour, making it an excellent choice if you have an early flight. The room was clean and spacious, and they provided four complimentary bottles of water. The soundproofing was very good; I couldn't hear any airplane noise from my side of the hotel. I ordered a coffee at the lobby bar on the ground floor, but the latte art was actually worse than mine, and it cost 65 HKD. I later discovered a cheaper coffee shop just ten meters away on the side of the lobby.

AAnonymous UserTraveling with family, we chose the family room at this hotel, which had one large and one small bed, enough for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was small but well-appointed, and canned mineral water was provided. The air conditioning was very strong. It's a 5-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit C, an 8-minute walk to catch the tram, a 15-minute walk to the Star Ferry, and a 5-minute walk to the airport bus stop. The transportation is incredibly convenient. If I come to Hong Kong again in the future, I'll definitely consider staying here.
YYas_miniThis was my second time staying at the hotel. And I was glad to see the upgraded an refreshed the towels. The hotel itself and room itself is kept well. The bathroom is clean and tidy. Only the half shower door isn’t very practical and all the water still goes out.
The rain shower was broken in my room.
The bedding was clean and comfy. But only two pillows are provided not 4. One of the towels had orange stains on it .
The cleaning could be better as I found the counter tops still stained with glass or can marks . Clearly showing the counter tops were not wiped down. The floor had hair and there was dirt in some corners.
The downside of this room is that it gets a lot of condensed. So on returning the floor would have moisture and condensation on it. It was just so annoying.
Other than that it’s in a super convenient location.
LlamlllThe hotel is nestled at the foot of the mountain, offering a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of areas near MTR stations. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Central/Admiralty MTR stations, or a 6-7 minute taxi ride (around HKD 20-35). We were assigned a room on the 28th floor facing Central, and the view was absolutely stunning. We had a complete panoramic view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the US Consulate, the Peak Tram Terminus, Government House, and even the distant Bank of China Tower, Standard Chartered Bank Building, and IFC.
The staff were all very warm, friendly, and accommodating. They even helped bring up our food deliveries to the room. The room cleanliness was excellent. The soundproofing, however, was average; we could hear louder noises from upstairs and next door. In the mornings, we could also hear the birds chirping from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens below. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but there was a kitchen available for cooking.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Compared to 5-star and 4-star hotels near MTR stations, this place offers a really good stay.
AArcher-RyuThe location is great! There's a wet market nearby with super cheap and delicious fruits and char siu, especially the cheong fun shop, Kun Kee – their garlic chicken wings are out of this world! Anyway, back to the accommodation review. I stayed there for a total of two nights, with a day in between. The first night was fine, nothing special. After two days out and about, I stayed there again with a friend, and they put us in a room with a really strong, unpleasant odor – like body odor. Plus, the bed wasn't even flat... We asked the front desk to switch rooms, and their attitude wasn't great. They didn't apologize and made us run up and down to the front desk multiple times just to get a room change.
GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. My husband and I stayed in one room, while my parents stayed in another.
The bathroom and shower were very clean and comfortable. The view is definitely better on the higher floors — my parents stayed on the 31st floor and had a lovely view, while our room on the 12th floor didn’t have much of a view, but honestly, we were mostly there just to sleep.
There was bottled water in the room upon arrival, but when we asked for more the next day, we were told to get it from the gym. Also, the cone-shaped paper cups in the gym were not very practical — that could be improved. On the positive side, the hotel has a gym for those interested.
The location is very convenient. We used the tram frequently to explore Hong Kong, and it’s very close to the hotel. There is also a shopping mall nearby, plenty of places to eat, and a supermarket right across the street.
The room overall was nice. There was a slight humidity smell, but that seems to be common in Hong Kong. Keeping the air conditioning on helps a lot.
It would be great if the hotel had universal power outlets.
Greetings from Turkey — Turkish guests would definitely enjoy staying at this hotel.
AAnonymous UserStaying here for second time. The room was a bit old and the curtain doesn’t work well but as a solo traveler, it was ok. The door is not well soundproof. I would prefer the first time I stayed here. However, with this price in HK, I would say I am still ok with overall experience.
LLuna Blanca Ysmeralda⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a great stay at Venetian Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui! The location is honestly one of the best things about it — it’s right in the center of everything in TST. There are so many food places just outside the building, so finding something to eat was never a problem.
The MTR is also very convenient, only about a 2-minute walk from TST Station Exit D2, which made commuting around Hong Kong super easy. If you’re coming from the airport by bus, you can simply stop at bus stop #14 (Mirador Mansion), which is very close to the hostel.
Another thing we appreciated was the housekeeping. They collect the trash every day, so when we came back our bins were already clean. They also changed our bedsheets and towels even though we didn’t request it, which was a really nice touch.
Just a small tip: they sometimes offer room upgrades when you arrive, but you can always say NO if you want to stick with your budget.
We stayed on the 13th floor, and that floor has a free water refilling station (which the other floors don’t have), so that was a big plus for us.
The only downside is that the elevator in the building can be very slow, especially during busy hours. But overall, the stay was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Great option if you’re looking for a budget place in TST!
Bbb1979_2006I booked two adjoining double rooms. Though small, they had everything needed, and the hotel felt quite new and comfortable inside. It's located next to a highway, so there was some noise (rooms facing the small road on the opposite side would probably be quieter). I'd say the air conditioning unit was even louder. For breakfast, they offered one pastry and unlimited coffee refills. There was no bottled water in the room, and toiletries and slippers were not provided. It's about a 10-minute walk to Prince Edward MTR station. The value for money is much better than some of the older hotels.
GGuest UserI chose this place because of the family-friendly cubicle rooms, the shuttle service to Tsuen Wan, and the excellent environment. The hotel also has a small activity area for relaxation. During my stay, the hotel didn't provide free toothbrushes, but towels were available.
RRyonChenThe location is super convenient, with direct subway access. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making me feel right at home. While the room wasn't huge, it was clean and comfortable, and the sea view from my room was spectacular. Overall, it's great value for money, perfect for business trips or short getaways. I'd definitely consider staying here again.
