We chose the Harbour View room at the YMCA because it shares the same stunning Victoria Harbour views as the Peninsula Hotel next door. Our room, 1343, offered an amazing view of the Convention Centre as soon as we opened the door – my child was absolutely thrilled and amazed! 😍 We didn't expect such a perfect harbour view room. Every morning and evening, we could see all sorts of boats, big and small, moving through the bay, as well as the Star Ferry. We could enjoy the Victoria Harbour scenery without even leaving the room or dealing with crowds – highly recommended!
The second reason is the YMCA's incredibly convenient location! It's less than 100m from Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR Station Exit L3/4, a 5-minute walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier and the Clock Tower, directly across the street from 1881 Heritage and the former Marine Police Headquarters, and a 5-minute walk to Harbour City 👍. Plus, the boarding point for the Rickshaw Bus H1 is right downstairs, so no long queues like at Central Ferry Pier. It's truly, truly, truly convenient! 🥰
The dining options nearby are also fantastic. We had breakfast every day at Fu Wah Cafe downstairs, and there's also Silvercord Restaurant.

Pros: On a business trip, the hotel is right by Victoria Harbour, making it very convenient to take the Star Ferry to the Convention and Exhibition Centre. For such a prime location, the room was spacious enough, breakfast was abundant, and the room service was attentive. They noticed we liked to drink water and left extra bottles. A very enthusiastic young man at the front desk helped us with our luggage to the door and gave us directions to the high-speed rail station.
Cons: You have to stand in the bathtub to shower, the chair cushion was a bit dirty, and the hot and cold water have separate taps, making temperature adjustment inconvenient. The air conditioning was quite noisy, but luckily it wasn't hot in April so we didn't need it on. Soundproofing was also poor.
Overall, I had a good experience and would stay here again on my next visit.

The location is veryyyyyy good close to everything from shopping to tourist attractions. Also surrounding with local food and western which more option to choose from. Reasonable price.
One of the lower rate I give was there was no information about no water for the whole building and no one informed us at all until we call and find out. Amenity kit you have to paid for it which wrong from the booking description. This part should update to let other customer know. If the hotel want to be eco environment on amenity kit they can choose other way rather then let customers pay for those.
Beside that every other thing is excellent. Looking forward to stay there again for the near future.

Taking city bus A21 from the airport and getting off at the Hong Kong Science Museum stop, the hotel is just a 3-minute walk away. The transportation is incredibly convenient, and it's also not far from Tsim Sha Tsui, making getting around very easy. The room was neat and clean, with complete facilities. On the first day of my stay, I even received a large bottle of complimentary mineral water. Since my flight was in the evening, I left my luggage at the hotel when checking out, and the staff were very helpful, providing assistance and even transportation suggestions. It was a very thoughtful experience. Next time I visit Hong Kong, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended!
Facilities: The hotel facilities are complete.
Hygiene: Neat and clean, and it's a smoke-free environment.
Environment: The environment is excellent, and it's convenient for getting around.
Service: The staff are warm, attentive, and provide excellent service.

Location
Inside Haiphong Mansion, right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui. Harbour City, Nathan Road, Kowloon Park, and the Star Ferry are all within walking distance. The MTR station is just minutes away, making it easy to explore both Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.
Room & Comfort
I stayed for three nights. The single room is very tiny and has no window, but it feels cozy if you don’t mind the compact space. Linens were fresh, the layout efficient, and the air-conditioning was excellent — strong and reliable, which made the stay comfortable. The toilet was clean, and there was a multi-type power socket by the bed, great if you forget to bring a travel adapter. If you’re tall, the bed may feel restrictive as you can’t fully stretch out your legs.
Amenities
Facilities are simple: air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. No kettle in the room. Guests receive a single-use towel, shampoo, and shower gel every day, which keeps things hygienic and straightforward. Room slippers and bathroom slippers are provided. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Outside the room, there’s a water dispenser (hot and room-temperature only, no cold water) and a microwave oven free to use. Hot water for showering is available anytime. Hangers and a hair dryer are provided. Daily room cleaning is carried out, which keeps the space fresh. With plenty of food nearby, dining is easy and varied.
Check-in
Late check-in is allow here till 1am but after 12am need to inform the owner early. The front desk isn’t 24-hour, so arrivals after normal hours require coordination. This can be inconvenient for late-night travelers, but manageable if arranged in advance.
Service
The owner is genuinely nice and friendly, which makes a big difference in a guesthouse setting. Staff were helpful, making the process smooth once checked in. Allow to store your baggage before check in and out so you can explore in peace.
Atmosphere
The surrounding streets are lively, while the inn itself feels cozy. Some noise may filter through, but overall the vibe is casual and welcoming — closer to a homestay than a hotel chain.
Building & Access
The lift system in Haiphong Mansion is split between odd and even floors. Joyce Inn is located on the 5th floor, so you’ll need to use the lift serving odd-numbered levels.
Verdict
Joyce Inn is about location and value. Clean, affordable, and right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui’s energy. Best suited for solo travelers or couples who prioritize convenience over amenities. My three-night stay was comfortable overall — I appreciated the daily room cleaning, the fresh toiletries, the friendly owner, the strong air-conditioning, the clean toilet, the multi-type socket by the bed, the fast Wi-Fi, the abundance of food nearby, the free microwave oven, the provided slippers, the hot shower anytime, and the hanger and hair dryer. The price was about 80 SGD per night, which is acceptable, though I do hope it could be a little cheaper. The single room’s size and lack of window may not suit everyone, especially taller guests, but it worked well for me.

Though small, this place has everything a big hotel offers. Victoria Harbour is just a 5-minute walk away. At 400 yuan for two nights, it's great value for money. There's also an underground mall next to the building, which is very convenient for meals. For a short visit, especially if you're getting an Octopus card, I'd recommend staying here. You get what you pay for, so don't expect too much for such a low price.

Absolutely fantastic! This is my first time actively writing a review. The auntie was very welcoming. Girls' rooms are on the second floor, and boys' rooms are on the third. After arriving, go through the door on the left, push it open, and walk straight ahead to find it. The location is perfect, just follow Amap (Gaode Maps) without any issues, it's right next to 7-Eleven. The location is incredibly convenient, just a few steps after taking the A21 bus.

This hotel is super convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk (around 300 meters) from Wan Chai MTR station, and there are bus and tram stops right downstairs. Plus, there's a Starbucks just below, which is a lifesaver for coffee lovers. I stayed at the Empire Hotel Tsim Sha Tsui the night before, and in comparison, the Empire Hotel Wan Chai was more affordable and felt a bit newer. The room was small but spotless, and for Hong Kong hotel prices, it was excellent value for money.

Thanks for the birthday cakes for my dad. Location is great, everything is nearby. Great staff service, they greet you whenever they see you. Very old hotel but is well maintained. Room carpet definitely need to change as it has the typical old and dirty smell. Amenities is great. Gym is well equipped and 24hrs which is great. The hair dryer is way too old and weak. Maybe is time to change to a new one. There's filtered tap water in the room which is very good and environmental friendly. Overall is great. Check out is 11pm BTW. Realised most hotel in hkg and Macau need to check out at 11am which I find it weird as most hotel in the world check out at 12pm. Check in was 3pm but the room was only ready until 4pm. So that's kinda ridiculous when theres no extention of time to check out at 12pm.

We stayed here last September 2025, masasabi kong maganda na tong place na to and very safe ang lugar.. If your itinerary mostly in Tst, perfect tong place na to. Some of the tourist attractions halos Walking distance lang.. Si ate who assisted us ay super mabait. Since we arrived early, We asked her for early check in, then she allowed us without any extra fee.. 🥰 The elevator is too small, it can only fit 4 pax without luggage and 2 pax if you have big luggage. From Airport ride A21 bus, then baba lang mismo ng bus stop sa tst. Tawid sa kabila, yun na mismo yung bldg. I like the cr. Wala lang bidet so be ready, bring your own tabo 🤭 they prepared shampoo, body wash, toothbrush at toothpaste, free bottled water and pwede ipalinis ang room everyday. Pag tawid sa kabila mtr agad, then kowloon park. Free entrance.. sa likod naman may 7/11 na, also bake house...

AAnonymous UserTraveling with family, we chose the family room at this hotel, which had one large and one small bed, enough for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was small but well-appointed, and canned mineral water was provided. The air conditioning was very strong. It's a 5-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit C, an 8-minute walk to catch the tram, a 15-minute walk to the Star Ferry, and a 5-minute walk to the airport bus stop. The transportation is incredibly convenient. If I come to Hong Kong again in the future, I'll definitely consider staying here.
LlamlllThe hotel is nestled at the foot of the mountain, offering a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of areas near MTR stations. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Central/Admiralty MTR stations, or a 6-7 minute taxi ride (around HKD 20-35). We were assigned a room on the 28th floor facing Central, and the view was absolutely stunning. We had a complete panoramic view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the US Consulate, the Peak Tram Terminus, Government House, and even the distant Bank of China Tower, Standard Chartered Bank Building, and IFC.
The staff were all very warm, friendly, and accommodating. They even helped bring up our food deliveries to the room. The room cleanliness was excellent. The soundproofing, however, was average; we could hear louder noises from upstairs and next door. In the mornings, we could also hear the birds chirping from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens below. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but there was a kitchen available for cooking.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Compared to 5-star and 4-star hotels near MTR stations, this place offers a really good stay.
YYas_miniThis was my second time staying at the hotel. And I was glad to see the upgraded an refreshed the towels. The hotel itself and room itself is kept well. The bathroom is clean and tidy. Only the half shower door isn’t very practical and all the water still goes out.
The rain shower was broken in my room.
The bedding was clean and comfy. But only two pillows are provided not 4. One of the towels had orange stains on it .
The cleaning could be better as I found the counter tops still stained with glass or can marks . Clearly showing the counter tops were not wiped down. The floor had hair and there was dirt in some corners.
The downside of this room is that it gets a lot of condensed. So on returning the floor would have moisture and condensation on it. It was just so annoying.
Other than that it’s in a super convenient location.
AArcher-RyuThe location is great! There's a wet market nearby with super cheap and delicious fruits and char siu, especially the cheong fun shop, Kun Kee – their garlic chicken wings are out of this world! Anyway, back to the accommodation review. I stayed there for a total of two nights, with a day in between. The first night was fine, nothing special. After two days out and about, I stayed there again with a friend, and they put us in a room with a really strong, unpleasant odor – like body odor. Plus, the bed wasn't even flat... We asked the front desk to switch rooms, and their attitude wasn't great. They didn't apologize and made us run up and down to the front desk multiple times just to get a room change.
GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. My husband and I stayed in one room, while my parents stayed in another.
The bathroom and shower were very clean and comfortable. The view is definitely better on the higher floors — my parents stayed on the 31st floor and had a lovely view, while our room on the 12th floor didn’t have much of a view, but honestly, we were mostly there just to sleep.
There was bottled water in the room upon arrival, but when we asked for more the next day, we were told to get it from the gym. Also, the cone-shaped paper cups in the gym were not very practical — that could be improved. On the positive side, the hotel has a gym for those interested.
The location is very convenient. We used the tram frequently to explore Hong Kong, and it’s very close to the hotel. There is also a shopping mall nearby, plenty of places to eat, and a supermarket right across the street.
The room overall was nice. There was a slight humidity smell, but that seems to be common in Hong Kong. Keeping the air conditioning on helps a lot.
It would be great if the hotel had universal power outlets.
Greetings from Turkey — Turkish guests would definitely enjoy staying at this hotel.
AAnonymous UserStaying here for second time. The room was a bit old and the curtain doesn’t work well but as a solo traveler, it was ok. The door is not well soundproof. I would prefer the first time I stayed here. However, with this price in HK, I would say I am still ok with overall experience.
LLuna Blanca Ysmeralda⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a great stay at Venetian Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui! The location is honestly one of the best things about it — it’s right in the center of everything in TST. There are so many food places just outside the building, so finding something to eat was never a problem.
The MTR is also very convenient, only about a 2-minute walk from TST Station Exit D2, which made commuting around Hong Kong super easy. If you’re coming from the airport by bus, you can simply stop at bus stop #14 (Mirador Mansion), which is very close to the hostel.
Another thing we appreciated was the housekeeping. They collect the trash every day, so when we came back our bins were already clean. They also changed our bedsheets and towels even though we didn’t request it, which was a really nice touch.
Just a small tip: they sometimes offer room upgrades when you arrive, but you can always say NO if you want to stick with your budget.
We stayed on the 13th floor, and that floor has a free water refilling station (which the other floors don’t have), so that was a big plus for us.
The only downside is that the elevator in the building can be very slow, especially during busy hours. But overall, the stay was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Great option if you’re looking for a budget place in TST!
Bbb1979_2006I booked two adjoining double rooms. Though small, they had everything needed, and the hotel felt quite new and comfortable inside. It's located next to a highway, so there was some noise (rooms facing the small road on the opposite side would probably be quieter). I'd say the air conditioning unit was even louder. For breakfast, they offered one pastry and unlimited coffee refills. There was no bottled water in the room, and toiletries and slippers were not provided. It's about a 10-minute walk to Prince Edward MTR station. The value for money is much better than some of the older hotels.
GGuest UserI chose this place because of the family-friendly cubicle rooms, the shuttle service to Tsuen Wan, and the excellent environment. The hotel also has a small activity area for relaxation. During my stay, the hotel didn't provide free toothbrushes, but towels were available.
RRyonChenThe location is super convenient, with direct subway access. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making me feel right at home. While the room wasn't huge, it was clean and comfortable, and the sea view from my room was spectacular. Overall, it's great value for money, perfect for business trips or short getaways. I'd definitely consider staying here again.
