I recently stayed at the Britannia Hotel in Manchester and wanted to share my thoughts. Location: The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s super accessible to all forms of transport, whether you’re arriving by train, bus, or tram. It’s right in the city center, so you can easily explore Manchester without much hassle. Parking: The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches. Hotel Condition: This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms. Rooms: The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting. Breakfast: Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast. Staff: The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out. Value for Money: Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to stay in a central location and don’t mind the dated vibe, it works. Had a lovely time with some friends, we only stayed one night but would definitely stay again! off the bat we found service lovely and the room was spotless. Breakfast was very nice as well.

We had a truly wonderful Christmas Eve stay at The Lowry Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. Our room was absolutely beautiful — spacious, stylish, and perfectly prepared for a festive getaway. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with plenty of choice and great quality throughout. It was the perfect way to start Christmas Day. We genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thank you to the team at The Lowry for making our Christmas Eve memorable. We can’t wait to return.

Good Location around spinningfields, close to a lot of nice restaurants

First time staying at this hotel and would stay again. Car park £9 overnight. Good location 20 min walk to Piccadilly. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Affordable hotel that id recommend.

Great location Tidy room and great customer service Recommend

The hotel is conveniently located on the first floor, which means we need an elevator to access it. Upon entering, I immediately noticed how clean and tidy the space is, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the breakfast served here is absolutely delicious, making for a great start to the day. Overall, I really like this hotel very much.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre for a business trip and it was exactly what I needed, simple, efficient, and reliable. The location is perfect, just a few minutes from the station and close to everything, which makes it easy when your days are packed with meetings or travel plans. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing over the top but well thought out. The bed was good, the shower worked perfectly, and after long days that’s really what matters. Breakfast was solid and consistent, plenty of options to start the day right. I appreciated that the staff were friendly without overdoing it, helpful, professional, and present when needed.
