Arrived at the hotel to a enormous queue of travellers. We presumed a coach party. The concierge smiled at us but neglected to mention that the 11 self check in computers were all out of order. After trying a couple or three a lady who was in the queue then decided it was time to tell us that none of them were working and we would need to joine dthe even longer queue. We waited for 49 minutes to get to the front of the queue where the lady apologised for the wait. Sadly we had not anticipated such a long check in which had a knock on effect of being unable to eat before our show. The hotel is well situated for the shows and a fairly clean room but I cant recommend the bed or the low level buzzing which kept me awake during the night. Sadly not one of my better stays in London

I have stayed at this hotel twice in London. The location is very convenient. It is close to Russell Square. Across the square is the British Museum. It is very convenient to see exhibitions. Next to UCL, there are many students and full of vitality. The surrounding transportation is convenient. All kinds of bus stations are convenient to go anywhere. It takes 10 minutes to walk to St. Pancras and King's Cross stations. The hotel has a large passenger flow. There are many students from all over the world who come to study, so the service can keep up with it, which is very good. I think it would be hard to find a better value hotel in the area, and I recommended it to a friend visiting London last year, and the feedback was great. Continue to live afterwards.

Best location but smallest room i've stayed in London. I travel alone and just needed a room with a queen bed but it was so small that my luggage cannot fit anywhere in the room. It was not ideal and not comfortable at all. the toilet was extremely tiny as well.

Enjoyable stay at the Astor Court Hotel. The location was excellent and the room clean neat and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly supplying extra pillows when we needed them. Overall I would say good value for money. The continental breakfast however was adequate but very basic so I would question if it was worth it. If you’re in a hurry then it may fit the bill otherwise I would go out to eat.

We stayed in a 3 person cocoon for 5 nights, and it was such a good deal. Amazing location, steps away from Piccadilly Circus and a stone’s throw from Regent Street and Chinatown. We walked almost everywhere we wanted to go! The room is super clean but very basic, with no kettle or any other amenities in the room. However, there’s a shared space in the basement for remote working and Beauty Rooms (for hairdryers and better lighting for makeup). Overall, a great deal for the price point and location. 10/10 would definitely stay again the next time I visit London!

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Basic and modern is better than OTT and old. Yes, the pods are small and if you’re claustrophobic, you won’t enjoy this, but knowing that you are cosy and tucked up in the centre of town has a nice feeling to it. Noise was a minimum and was not disturbed and other guests were very considerate and respectful. The only downside is the ventilation isn’t great but luckily I had a USB portable fan which helped. I would definitely stay here again if I needed affordable and central accommodation.

Clean room. Comfortable room size. Location is around 10 minutes walk from the tube station. I was assigned to Room 305 which is on the third floor without elevator. The hotel admin did email me regarding no elevator, I just didn’t expect them to give me a third floor room. The floor board is uneven. Do take note that their check-out time is 10.30am. I won’t consider this hotel in future.

Great location! It's just a 5-minute walk from the British Museum, so we ended up visiting twice. Public transport, both buses and the Tube, is super convenient from here. The English breakfast was a nice bonus, and it offers good value for money. Definitely recommend staying here.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

Room was well decorated, very comfy bed, cleanliness could be slightly better but nothing too significant. Would return here, for sure.

GGuest UserThe Holiday Inn's facilities and management are consistently reliable. The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the DLR light rail station. In the morning, there's a small restaurant open in the garden, so you can take a shortcut through the garden to the light rail station. In the afternoon, you have to go under the bridge. I stayed for four or five days and didn't encounter any safety issues. The hotel breakfast is excellent; due to jet lag, I was always ravenous and ate a lot. The breakfast includes coffee, fruit, vegetable salad, various breads, milk, sausages, yogurt, oats, and juice. The breakfast hours are also quite long, which really helped my jet-lagged stomach. Also, the city of London is beautiful and well worth a visit.

GGuest UserAmazing location, amazing service. It was my birthday and the room was decorated beautifully with complimentary drink and chocolate. Could not have asked for more. The only negative was the room was extremely hot which made is very uncomfortable to sleep. On the second night spoke to front desk and they advised to turn all air con/heating off and brought us a fan up so the second night slept like a baby in very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautiful but u fortunately we ran out of time but when we have another stay at the beautiful hotel we will certainly visit it.

GGuest UserThe staff's service attitude was excellent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom fixtures were quite old, and the shower, in particular, wasn't designed for Asian heights, making it difficult to control the water flow. Washing was a real struggle, and there were several clogs, impacting cleanliness. Overall, it was a very inconvenient experience. Additionally, the hotel room faced the street, so the constant noise of passing cars was unavoidable. If you're a light sleeper, it would be extremely hard to fall asleep!!

GGuest UserPros: - Decently sized, standard layout and comfortable rooms. - Rooms are quite clean, service in general was nothing too special but gets the job done! - Convenient location near buses and metro to Central London / Oxford for a day trip, close to Westfield London which has great number of F&B outlets, supermarkets and shops. Cons: - Housekeeping was inconsistent; stayed for 6 days, everyday was missing something different, not being replenished in the room; could be tea, coffee, hand towels, tissue paper, toilet paper etc… had to keep calling for service every night throughout the stay. If housekeeping had set up the room in standard, hassle could be alleviated from all parties as it takes the housekeeping more than 20 minutes every time to bring the items. - Both toilet paper rolls were removed unexpectedly one night, even when we certainly left the room with them both in the morning which I find a bit funny as there wasn’t even a need to replenish - but simply removed. - Clock timing was incorrect 6 days throughout the stay and nobody clocked that nor changed it. - Slight wear and tear in the room but nothing too major affecting our stay apart from the bathtub glass panel seam being broken and water kept coming out of the shower. - Emergency alarms went off at 730AM with no explanation. - There was daily construction noise and one day the workers and equipments were all outside our room for a good 4 hours in the morning to afternoon time. Again, I don’t blame it because maintenance is important but a notice would be nice. Overall, I think the hotel gets its job done, the room and location were decent and comfortable. It’s the housekeeping and maintenance fell below expectations.

The location is quite good, close to Euston Station and King's Cross Station, and within walking distance of the British Museum. If you turn left when you leave the hotel, there are a few Chinese restaurants diagonally across the street, one block away. There are also convenience stores nearby. P.S. The breakfast wasn't very diverse.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.

Newly renovated with reasonable price. Breakfast is really good, all you can eat. When I was there, there is an Asian food as well. Malaysian food downstairs is really good, strongly recommended! 2201675****The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and once we opened our suitcases, they completely blocked the door. As for the shower, it was barely usable, just enough to get by. The upside is the incredibly convenient location. It's right next to Paddington Station and the tube, making it super easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few hundred meters away – perfect for a stroll through the park, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the pigeons. Buckingham Palace is only about a kilometer further. During the Christmas season, Regent Street is just four bus stops and a hundred-meter walk away. It was quite expensive, but that's London for you. It really depends on what you prioritize. If you just need a place to sleep that's well-located for exploring, it's a decent option.
