Highly recommended, location wise (opposite of train station, quiet neighbourhood, walking distance to imperial palace and park), room size, cleanliness and the staffs were all nice especially the cleaners! Free bottled water daily. Price is reasonable. Will probably stay here again on my next visit.

The room was quite spacious for Tokyo, and there was an extra vanity and sink outside the bathroom. The hotel is a bit old, but the cleanliness and service were still acceptable. Because this trip was at a slower pace and I preferred quiet, I felt very comfortable in the Imperial Palace area. It's conveniently located a 15-minute walk to Sakuradamon subway station (with Imperial Palace view) and a 6-minute walk to Hanzomon (street view). There aren't many restaurants nearby, mostly Chinese restaurants catering to locals, so it doesn't have the typical touristy atmosphere. I particularly liked the hotel breakfast, mainly because it has a garden view and is just across the street from the Imperial Palace, lush and green (p2). The food options are either Japanese or Western-style, a self-service choice. The staff were mainly elderly, and their English communication was basic, less so than the front desk. Highly recommended for runners; Tokyo is perfect for running!

Stayed here for 4 nights with my spouse and 1 year old. It’s centrally located in Tokyo and you can get to Shibuya (no transfers), shinjuku, and Ginza all within 25 minutes from leaving the hotel. The subway stop is less than 5 minutes away. You can walk to the imperial palace area and see the imperial garden. There are some restaurants, a bento shop, grocery store, and convenient stores within 10 minutes walk. The room was nice and modern. Our room faced another window so we got some natural light. Lighting could be a little brighter. Hotel doesn’t have self laundry so I found a coin laundry 8 minutes away (paid ¥800 for a large wash and dry). Hotel provided 2 bottle of water daily to the room. Kids amenity kit was provided at check-in and if the room doesn’t have the amenity you need, it’s likely available in the lobby. There was bread provided in the morning and coffee/latte/mocha machine provided though out the day in the lobby. Was able to store luggage after checking out. Lobby is always bumping american R&B and rap which seems a little strange but I didn’t mind. Would definitely stay here again as the price I received seemed good.

The room was small! But the lobby was incredibly grand, like a relic from the昭和 era, truly aristocratic! The check-in staff provided classic Japanese service – warm and polite! It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, but if you're taking the bus, it's super convenient because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel! My favorite feature was the radio by the bed in the room. The night I checked in, I tuned into a random station that was playing old Japanese songs, and every single one was so good. Listening to those Japanese songs while showering and packing made me feel like I'd traveled back to the昭和 period.

Beyond being a bit of a walk from the subway, everything else was impeccable. The room was spacious, and the corner glass windows offered great views. The tower building was affordable, unlike the main building which was out of my price range. The garden was expansive, though the cherry blossoms weren't in full bloom yet, so there weren't many flowers. The lower floors are all shopping malls; you can spend a lot of time just wandering around the hotel, from the tower to the main building. It's a great way to pass the time.

EEden 2026.03.20
For Chinese tourists, my review should be helpful. First, in terms of location, I think the hotel's biggest selling point is its excellent position. It's a two-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, Exit 10. Nearby, there's a FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, and various restaurants, yet it's not noisy. Akasaka-Mitsuke Station itself serves about three subway lines, which is incredibly convenient. Regarding service, everyone at the front desk spoke English well enough, though a few spoke a bit too quickly, making it hard to catch everything without asking for clarification. However, they handled basic tasks without issue. The housekeeping staff's English wasn't as good; they also didn't ask questions and simply nodded to everything I said, but understood almost nothing. There were also issues with their work. I had an opened mask pack with only one sheet used, which disappeared after housekeeping cleaned the room in the morning. When I inquired at the front desk, they found it the next day, along with an AirTag I had thrown away. They explained that the mask pack was mistakenly discarded as trash, but I distinctly remember placing it in the hotel's basket (which contained the hotel's bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, and what seemed to be body lotion). I'm not sure what the housekeeper was thinking, but what I do appreciate is their ability to trace discarded items and retrieve them. The cleanliness itself was fine. Japan promotes environmental protection, so hotels don't encourage daily linen changes, which is perfectly acceptable. As for facilities and amenities, I only had one bag and a carry-on, so the room size was just right for me. However, for those with large luggage, it would be extremely cramped; once a suitcase is open, it pretty much fills the floor, making it inconvenient to move around. The bathroom was a bit small, but that's normal for Japan. Toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste are in the bathroom, while other items need to be picked up from the front desk. My main gripe is with the drinking water. I understand why there are no bottled water in the room due to environmental concerns, so you have to go to the water dispenser on the first floor. Disposable cups are available next to the dispenser. I wonder if, like many other environmentally-conscious developed regions, they could provide a large, hotel-use-only water pitcher? That would be much more convenient. Having to go downstairs every day to fill up and then bring a cup back is a bit of a hassle, but it's not a major problem. In summary, if I return to Tokyo without any specific reason, I would most likely stay here again. However, for those with a lot of luggage or primarily exploring the northeast side of Tokyo, careful consideration is advised.

The hygiene and facilities are excellent, and the bath water temperature is just right – soaking in it after a day of walking is incredibly relaxing. There are steps at the entrance, but they're not too high. The location is really convenient, not far from several subway stations, and you can even walk to Tokyo Dome and Korakuen. The nearby restaurants, noodle shops, and cafes are all fantastic. The room isn't small, though the bathroom is one of those integrated units typical of economy hotels, which was a bit tight for my larger build to turn around in, but it was very clean. I feel like I'd stay here again. The free ice cream was delicious! I couldn't figure out the machine myself, but a nice young man helped me. I tried to go after 8 PM as much as possible, because earlier than that, there would be a queue of students.

It's close to Edogawabashi and Kagurazaka subway stations. The apartment is fully equipped with a washing machine, induction cooker, pots, tableware, microwave, and hair dryer. The only disappointment was that I went out briefly before checking out, and when I came back, the door wouldn't open with the original key. The staff had no idea there was a spare key, and it took me about 20 minutes to resolve the issue.

An incredibly clean capsule hotel, the staff were friendly and the facilities spotless! They had a restaurant and a tatami room, which was great for unwinding after a spa session with a beer before bed (they said their tonkatsu was a signature dish, but I didn't try it, lol). Even though it was winter, the capsule itself was a bit warm (it got better with the fan on, but I'd still wake up sweaty) and quite dry! Despite that, if I needed an affordable place to stay nearby, I'd definitely return.

KkhosodaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The cleanliness was exceptional—everything from the room to the common areas was spotless and very well maintained. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, providing more than enough space to relax after a long day. The location is another major highlight. It is very convenient and well-situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, transportation, and restaurants. This made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a warm and professional attitude. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The food was also delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal I had was satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

GGuest UserReally enjoy my stay here, the location is unbeatable since it's walking distance to many metro lines, the staffs are very friendly and accommodating, the onsen is also very clean, the juice bar in the morning and bar in the evening were also great touches. There is only one elevator but I didn't find it to be a deal breaker, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

VvjongThe location is very good. Very close to subway, JR and Shinkansen. Many restaurants and shopping in the area including a very famous ramen downstairs. The room is clean and the onsen is as great as usual but a little small. Another issue is there is only 1 lift so it could take time to wait for lift. I did not enjoy the free ramen at night but I have no reason to question its quality! Overall, great value for money!

GGuest UserHere's a review of a hotel located in the heart of Akasaka, offering easy access to two subway lines. It's a quiet business-boutique hotel with more spacious rooms than similar establishments, making it ideal for commuting to the city center or exploring Roppongi/Akasaka. **Key Highlights (Reasons to Choose This Hotel):** 1. **Dual Subway Access + Central Akasaka – Convenient for Anywhere:** * Approximately a 4-minute walk to Akasaka Station and a 6-minute walk to Tameike-Sanno Station, covering multiple lines for easy access to Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is about 45-60 minutes away. * Within walking distance of Roppongi, Tokyo Midtown, and Akasaka Sacas, boasting vibrant shopping and dining areas. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located downstairs, making daily life easy. * The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a better option for rest compared to Shinjuku or Shibuya. 2. **More Spacious and Well-Designed Rooms Than Other Japanese Hotels in the Same Category:** * Standard rooms are approximately 15-18 sqm, larger than most business hotels in Tokyo, allowing two large suitcases to be opened without feeling cramped. * Comfortable bedding with memory foam/low-rebound pillows. Bathrooms feature bathtubs and smart toilets, with stable water pressure and temperature. Amenities are comprehensive. * Good natural light, with most rooms feeling bright and airy. Cleanliness is up to Japanese standards. 3. **Practical Facilities, Suitable for Long Stays/Families:** * A coin-operated laundry room is available on the 12th floor (washing 300 JPY/drying 100 JPY), and microwaves are on multiple floors, friendly for long-term guests. * A small, complimentary gym on the 3rd floor is a bonus for business travelers or fitness enthusiasts. * Cribs/children's amenities can be arranged, making it family-friendly. The front desk offers multilingual service, with fluent English, and handles luggage storage/package receiving efficiently. 4. **Consistent Service, Thoughtful Details:** * The front desk staff is enthusiastic and professional, responding quickly. Small items like chargers and hair straighteners can be borrowed, with some guests reporting feeling 'valued'. * Free high-speed Wi-Fi is stable. Some periods offer guidance.

GGuest UserShinjuku Granbell Hotel was my accommodation choice during this Tokyo Shinjuku trip. Part of the design-oriented Granbell chain, the hotel opened in 2013 and expanded with additional rooms in 2016. It has a modern and stylish vibe overall, making it a good fit for travelers who enjoy a bit of personality and contemporary feel. The rooms are decent—not particularly spacious (typical for central Tokyo hotels), but the design is pleasant and they come with Simmons mattresses, so the bed is comfortable to sleep in. What stands out is that the hotel has a very large number of rooms (reportedly over 400 in total), making it a mid-to-large-scale property. Check-in can occasionally feel a bit busy in the lobby due to the volume of guests, but operations run smoothly. Room types are quite varied, from standard doubles to loft-style rooms, offering good flexibility when booking. Location is one of the more debated aspects of this hotel. It is very close to the heart of Shinjuku—right inside Kabukicho—so you’re surrounded by endless restaurants, izakayas, convenience stores, drugstores, and nightlife. Walking distance covers popular spots like Korean Town in Okubo or Golden Gai, which makes evening strolls and late-night eating extremely convenient. However, if you rely on the subway, the nearest station (Higashi-Shinjuku) is about a 4-minute walk (official figure), but to reach the major hubs like JR Shinjuku Station or Shinjuku-sanchome Station, it usually takes around 15 minutes on foot (depending on your exact route, and sometimes you have to navigate through the lively Kabukicho crowds). For someone who enjoys walking, it’s manageable, but dragging large luggage or walking in the rain might feel a bit inconvenient. In short, the location is highly central and vibrant, but it’s not quite “step out the door and you’re at the station” level. Room cleanliness is acceptable—daily housekeeping is thorough, with bathrooms, bedding, and floors kept in good condition, and no noticeable odors or mess. Everything feels clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay, but there is nothing particularly outstanding about it. The decor follows a simple modern style, facilities are standard (free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fridge, etc.), and while functional, it doesn’t wow you. Bathrooms are on the small side (normal for Tokyo), but hot water is reliable and usage is fine. They also offer free loan of air purifiers or humidifiers, which is a nice small touch. Other minor highlights include the rooftop terrace (great for night views or a drink on clear evenings), a café, and a bar with decent atmosphere. Breakfast is an additional charge, but with so many dining options nearby, skipping the hotel breakfast is never an issue. In summary, Shinjuku Granbell Hotel isn’t a top-tier luxury property, but if you’re looking for a lively Shinjuku location, moderate design appeal, clean and practical rooms, and surroundings full of energy and food options at a mid-range budget, it’s a solid and pragmatic choice. The large number of rooms means availability tends to be reliable. While the walk to major stations takes about 15 minutes, for anyone wanting to fully immerse in Shinjuku’s nightlife and buzz, that actually becomes an advantage. Overall value for money is above average. Recommended for first-time Shinjuku visitors who want a fun, convenient, and comfortable base without breaking the bank!

CCN_NanaThe facility was great in general. Except you cant stay over the day its just for sleeping, showering and then you can leave it ln daytime, leave your stuff, as they clean and restrict the sleeping area. Otherwise it was kind of an all inclusive experience and did have a clean and nice washroom, as well as all round service. But it was a bit loud in the morning, the cleaning stuff rummages around exactly in front of the bed, talking, making noise cleaining beds 2 hours before check out.
