Hotels near Mapo-Gu, Seoul

The hotel is roughly equidistant from Jeungmi and Deungchon stations on Line 9. Jeungmi is a bit closer but involves a steep incline, while Deungchon is slightly further but has a gentler slope. We opted for Jeungmi Station for both arriving at and departing from the hotel. Incheon Airport is about an hour away by subway. The hotel also provides information on airport buses, but they are significantly more expensive than public transport. Since we were already heading to the subway, we decided to stick with it. Moreover, we had purchased a Climate Card (15,000 KRW for 5 days of unlimited travel), which covered our airport journey as well. The most convenient way to get around from the hotel is by bus. Bus 6712 is a must-remember: it takes you to Hapjeong Station for transfers to Subway Lines 2 and 6, or directly to Hongdae. We used this bus daily. Definitely download Naver Maps for navigation! The hotel rooms are quite spacious, equipped with both air conditioning and underfloor heating. However, I was baffled by the bathroom's lack of a proper wet/dry separation. There's a glass screen, but it doesn't seal at the bottom, and there's no curb in the shower area to contain the water. Consequently, after every shower, the entire bathroom floor would be soaked. I ended up having to huddle in a corner just to shower. Despite its generous size, the bathroom's design is very impractical. There's a convenience store conveniently located on the ground floor, and the lounge area is quite spacious. We noticed a lot of tour groups from Southeast Asia staying here. Unfortunately, the hotel's soundproofing isn't great. We could often hear the tour groups quite loudly when they left early in the mornings or returned late at night.

This place is very close to the subway station and convenience stores, making it super easy to get around. They offer free coffee and hot water downstairs, which is a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommend!

A decent, no-frills hotel. The lobby isn't very big. It's conveniently located, within walking distance to public transport (buses and subway). There are also restaurants and duty-free shops along the way. My king-size room was on the top floor with a nice view, but the twin room on the back didn't have much to see. The room was clean, though smaller than what you'd find in China. Be careful in the bathroom as there's a step, which might be tricky for older guests or children. There were no power adapters, so bring your own. Slippers and toiletries were provided.

We had a pleasant stay at Brown Suites Sinchon Central. As this is already my second time to stay here, I already knew the overall process. One of the things that I like is the heater and aircon are not centralized unlike other hotels so we can control the temperature. An unexpected mishap would be the changes in elevator as only 1 elevator can be used for even-numbered floors, so the waiting time to go up and down from our room is a bit longer. Other than that, we had a great experience.

The location is great, right between two subway stations, making it really convenient to get anywhere. The bed was super comfortable; I slept wonderfully every night I stayed here. It was also fun to meet many other solo female travelers. They offer milk, cereal, and bread in the morning, which I thought was pretty tasty! Highly recommend it! I think I'd choose this place again next time I visit. I forgot to take other pictures, so here are two of the breakfast, haha! 🍳

The hotel is conveniently located near Yeongdeungpo Subway Station, making it easy to get around the city. There is also a Lotte shopping mall right next to the hotel. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the bed was comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. There are plenty of restaurants opposite the hotel too. Found the best Korean seafood pancake and blueberry makgeoli there. Will be back for more!

Location next to Gajwa station though the frequency of the train is not as good as compared to the subway metro. But good for a decent night. Do note some bookings are for late check-in so check properly before booking. So broadly decent for a night stay.

The type of room we had reserved is the apartment type that consist of 3 bedrooms and 1 living room. The size is big but there is no daily service to clean the room. The apartment is located in the front area of the hotel, separating from the hotel. The CU shop (24hrs) was easily to walk in 5 min. The location is far from the subway so using taxi is more convenient.

The room was okay, just a bit too small for the three of us. I didn't get a good night's sleep any day, and my daughter threw up all four nights. It's a shame there was no bathtub. The breakfast was really good; we had it all four mornings. The gym on the top floor was great, but I was too busy each day to use it. The room was cleaned daily, but it wasn't spotless. That said, I wouldn't say there were any major problems – it was still pretty good overall. The subway station was a bit of a walk, but acceptable. Since I was with my dad and daughter, pushing a stroller made it a bit more inconvenient. I was very satisfied with the breakfast. The worst part was how cold Korea was; I came back with a cold.

I absolutely have to recommend this hotel! The location isn't far from the metro station, and it's clean and hygienic with plenty of natural light (some dimly lit hotels can be a bit scary). The staff are incredibly friendly; even though there's a flight of stairs, they're always willing to help with luggage when they're free 👏🏻. This alone makes it worth recommending! But there's more! On the last day of my trip, I felt really unwell. As I was traveling alone, I panicked, not knowing who to ask for help, so I tried contacting the host. The owner is super nice! He personally took me to the hospital, helped me communicate, and sorted out all the procedures 🥹. I am so incredibly grateful! I could truly feel the owner's dedication and passion for his business. This really went above and beyond what was expected! Truly 120 points 🫶🏻. Thanks to him, I was able to catch my flight that night. (Attaching photos – proof is in the pictures.) The owner is also very handsome, a kind-hearted and gentle oppa 🙏🏻. I'm truly so thankful I chose to stay at this hotel! Thank you to all the staff for their help 🫶🏻. Not only will I stay here again, but I will also highly recommend it to all my friends. It deserves to be known by more people!
