Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Kinta during my recent trip. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located in a very convenient area—easy access to shops and food spots nearby. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The highlight of the trip was definitely the buka puasa experience. The atmosphere felt like the classic P. Ramlee & Saloma era—very lively and nostalgic. There was a live band and DJ that made the night even more happening, and the hotel staff really entertained the guests which made the whole experience feel warm and memorable. Special shoutout to Prem, Adji, Feri & Zack for the great hospitality and fun vibes throughout the night. They truly made the buka puasa experience more meriah and enjoyable. 🌙✨ Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting and looking for a place with good vibes during Ramadan.

Stayed here for 2 days and 1 night during the holiday season. The car park was full, but the hotel provided an alternative parking area with free shuttle service, which was very convenient. The location is great, with many places nearby and easy to access. At night, we found the air conditioner was not cooling properly. After calling reception, staff came within around 15 minutes to check it. Since the issue could not be fixed immediately, the hotel acted quickly and arranged a room change for us in less than 15 minutes. Very impressed with their fast and helpful service.

On this return trip to Ipoh, I once again chose to stay at this hotel because of its convenient location to all the food spots and attractions. The hotel rooms are spacious and very comfortable, definitely worth recommending.

The hotel's location is great, and it has its own underground parking with plenty of spaces, which is perfect for guests traveling by car. The breakfast was also good, I liked it. The room was spacious and comfortable. I did notice that the pillowcases hadn't been changed, but after mentioning it to the front desk, they quickly brought us new ones, which was satisfactory.

Facilities: The best hotel of this trip. The overall service experience was excellent, convenient, and efficient, with no deposit required. It's also within walking distance of key attractions like Concubine Lane, and there's a shopping mall right across the street.

The room was clean, bright and the environment was relax, comfortable and beautiful. Overall the room for this price was 9.5/10. However, the service and management were disappointing. At 1AM, we realized that the room did not have a hair dryer, so we went down to request one from the counter. The guard contacted the PIC, and the PIC informed us that all the staff had already gone back. They asked us to WhatsApp the number displayed at the counter the next morning when we needed the hair dryer, and we agreed. The next morning at 10AM, we contacted the WhatsApp PIC, only to be told that our room was not under their management. We then tried calling customer service, but nobody answered. What made it worse was that when we explained the situation, the WhatsApp PIC simply replied “I don’t know” instead of helping us with the correct contact number. Honestly, I’m not trying to blame any individual staff member, but if our room is not under that management, then why was that number displayed so prominently at the counter? It was misleading and caused unnecessary confusion for guests. Eventually, I found another contact number from my booking page and called them directly. The PIC said they would send the hair dryer immediately, but after waiting 10 minutes, nobody came. We went down to the counter again, and the staff told us, “We are a bit busy, you can go back up now, my staff is waiting outside your door.” It honestly felt like they just wanted us to leave quickly and gave us a random excuse to brush us off, because when we returned to the room, nobody was there. In the end, we only received the hair dryer at 11AM. Taking one full hour just to get a hair dryer delivered to the room was honestly quite ridiculous.

The location is nearby the Cocubine Lane within 5 minutes walk。It has secure lock after midnight to come in the hotel so is safe. The room wall is just like the name bricks . It has very strong mouldy smell. Bed is not comfortable will sink when sleep. There is tV but no allow to ON it . no provide bottle water and also no provide slipper for bathroom,no toothbrush.The bathroom water no partition with toilet so have to becareful slippery after shower . Soundproof not that good .

I researched a lot of hotels in Ipoh. Most hotels are spread out around the Ipoh “downtown”. If you’re arriving on a bus from KL, the bus terminal Amanjaya is 9km away. 20 mins on the local bus will take you to Terminal Kidd and it’s a 15 mins walk to M Boutique. I wouldn’t suggest this option if you have a lot of suitcases as the walk is on the main roads with cars and truck zipping past. Location is surrounded by industrial and car dealerships, but once arrived you’re surprised! They live up to their name - Boutique! They have been in that location for 13 years. Staff are friendly and helpful! Room (single room with no windows) was clean and comfortable and provided the amenities after a long day on the bus. And the hotel - SMELLED nice. Like a high end hotel. It was a nice treat if you’re a solo traveler looking for comfort on a budget. I tried to extend an extra night, however Trip were only showing double and twin rooms - out of my budget for a solo traveler. Asking at reception if the single room was available, they checked and I paid directly to hotel for a 2nd night. Your loss Trip! Hotel amenities were great. Hot shower, WiFi and air conditioning working. It’s a 10-15 min walk to the old city. When I arrived around 4 PM, a lot of things are already closed and quiet. Walking around in the dark back to the hotel was a little uneasy, but you can easily just arrange a car to GRAB. Highly recommended!

After reading the reviews we were a little worried. However we arrived an hour early and reception was still being manned (yes it’s a self checkin hotel). We had booked two double rooms, one had ac issues so one of the room was upgraded to a King room. The room were as pictured, clean and comfortable. However, the walls are paper thin, and the neighbours to the King Room were appalling, partied all night long, running up and down hallways with absolutely no care in the world for anyone else. At one point my door (King Room) was opened, thankfully I had the sense to latch the door before I went to bed but three men were standing at my door trying to get in. The ruckus continued till day light and then started back up around 10am when a worker told this group to keep the noise down, which lasted about 2 minutes. The problem is I think that because it’s a self check in no one is there to control how many people are staying in the rooms and it seems people just come in and camp in the hallways all night. My partner had to get up three times to ask a bunch of guys to move away from his door with their chatting and phone beeping. Shame for the owner because this could be a good hotel if guests showed a bit of respect to others.

Brightly lit outside but parking was behind and dark with lots of stones , it’s located at the Indian area crossed the bridge from the town Center. It had strong Indian smell but once you enter the room it’s gone. It was a last minute booking so we just needed clean comfortable place to rest for the day and night. No extension of the hotel timing and deposit of rm 50 is needed to ensure you do not stain their sheets or towels. Overall not too bad for a quick stay with clean room in mind n comfort. Just it’s quite dark different from the pictures presented and precautions needed
