Great value hotel in a convenient Bangkok location I had a very pleasant stay at The Moment Hotel in Bangkok. The hotel offers excellent value for money, especially considering the comfort and cleanliness you get for the price. The rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable beds and good air conditioning—very welcome after a long day in Bangkok’s heat. Housekeeping did a great job, and everything felt fresh and tidy throughout the stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the reception was always willing to help with directions, taxis, or general questions about the city. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transport and plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. It’s a good base for exploring Bangkok without being right in the middle of the busiest tourist areas, so it’s relatively quiet at night. Overall, The Moment Hotel is a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and affordable stay in Bangkok. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to travelers who want good quality without paying luxury prices.

Basic, but it's my second time choosing this place. The location is excellent, and it's quiet. There's a nice small green area. Your window might overlook... other windows. The hot water is plentiful, even without the heater on full power. It does get a bit stuffy with just a fan and no AC, but for a private room in this location, it's budget-friendly. In the common area, there's a fridge, kettle, and microwave – very convenient! This particular room could really use some hooks or hangers for clothes, but it's not a deal-breaker. Just remember to bring your own shampoo and soap from home (or your previous hotel). It's super easy to get to and from the airport using the S1 bus; the stop is very close!

It was very nice! The lady opened the door for us, even very late in the night (3am). The location is very nice if you want to be right we’re Bangkok people live. We used the public boat transport quite often. It is just around the corner and super affordable. A local market is nearby and many options to eat. Everything was cleaned daily.

A rocky start when arriving late but eventually found someone to let us in. Apart from the hard mattress, a very comfortable, clean and quiet room. Staff was available by WhatsApp, gave us water each day and always offered to clean the room daily. Recommended stay.

One of the main reasons why we chose this hotel was its location. This place is literally 5 min walk from famous Khaosan Road so you can get anything such as food, clothes, shops at your door. And the major tourist attractions such as Grand Palace, Golden mount etc are within walking distance (20-22min). One thing i genuinely liked about was it was not exactly located in the khaosan road which is a buzzing streets full of people and energy. If our hotel was located there, sleep would be not even optional, impossible. Maybe you can sleep during the day. Thus our location was perfect in my opinion. The room was clean, and the staffs were friendly. Last but not least, all the hotels in thailand require different amounts of deposit is what we learned. In this case, the deposit was 1000TBH. So remember to bring cash and they will give it back once you check out. Solid 8.5/10. Good place, u won’t regret it. 😎

This is a very good experience. The hotel environment is very good, the facilities are very new, and the service is very good. The clerks were very friendly and enthusiastic, especially the girl who helped me check in. We arrived at the hotel at noon, and she also helped us check in in advance. In addition, the room type is different, and she comes up to adjust it for us. I was deeply impressed by her kindness, but I didn't see her on the day I checked out on February 15. She should take a day off, otherwise I will personally thank her again. Yes, I'm from China. I like the service of this hotel. I look forward to seeing you again on my next trip!

When we are in Bangkok, we always choose Ayathorn. If you’re planning to explore the old part of Bangkok, this hotel is a great base. Many of the main attractions are within a 20–30 minute walk, and if you prefer, a short tuk-tuk ride gets you there even faster. There are also several very good local restaurants just a few minutes away on foot, which makes evenings easy and enjoyable. The rooftop is a nice plus perfect for cooling off after a long day of sightseeing, with a relaxing atmosphere, or for spending some time in the pool. One thing to be aware of is the major renovation works currently happening in front of the building, which can cause traffic congestion and some noise during the day. However, you can minimize this by booking a river-facing room, which is quieter. Also, if you arrive early, the hotel offers the option to check in before the standard time for an additional fee, which can be very convenient after a long flight.

Great location with convenient transportation. Breakfast was decent; we had a delicious tom yum soup one morning. The front desk staff speak Chinese, so communication was seamless. The showerhead in the room was a bit startling, making a loud noise when first turned on. The room was generally quiet from street noise, but on the second and third nights, we heard birds (the type in Thailand that squawk all night) calling out continuously. The male staff member who handled luggage storage at the entrance was very helpful; he enthusiastically helped us navigate to the pier when we asked about boat terminals.

CCK97My wife and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel and it was an unforgettable experience. Although not so modern, our room was luxurious and well maintained, providing all the comforts and amenities we needed. We especially looked forward to breakfast each morning, eager to enjoy the chef’s special of the day, which never disappointed and added a delightful start to our day. During our stay, we appreciated the convenient location near all the shopping malls and attractions. Overall, our experience at the Grand Hyatt Erawan was wonderful except for an evening where the shower area and all the taps only has hot water regardless turning on the cold or hot water tap. The technician team was quick in resolving the issue about 15-20 mins later. It made our 21st wedding anniversary extra special, and we will still come back for more anniversary celebrations. Highly recommended for couples or anyone seeking a luxurious getaway.

CCurt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say. First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.) Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine. We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed. The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room. The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope. Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim. We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience. Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

GGuest UserPros: The hygiene is excellent. The common areas are right by the Chao Phraya River, and it's fantastic to enjoy a drink while watching the river at night. The staff are very enthusiastic. The bed space is ample, with two power outlets and a small locker with a combination lock. There's also a large storage cabinet in the room that opens with your room card. Cons: The only way to get into the hostel is through a fish market, which has a very strong, fishy smell, though it's bearable. Being close to the river means there are quite a few insects, which is understandable. The toilets don't have air conditioning, so it gets extremely hot when using them. The air conditioning in the rooms is turned off daily from 11 AM to 3 PM, which isn't very friendly for guests who want to rest in bed. Everyone's shoes are piled up on the second floor, and some of them are incredibly smelly, like biohazards. I hope the hotel can improve management and ensure everyone puts their shoes in a shoe cabinet!

BBeishandaxianThis is an older hotel, but it has a great location. The hotel offers a boat shuttle to the pier and metro, making it very convenient to get to Iconsiam with just one transfer. This is my second stay here, and the hotel has been gradually upgrading its facilities over the past couple of years, with noticeable improvements to the room conditions. The breakfast is excellent, and you can enjoy it either outdoors by the river or indoors. There are quite a few European guests. The room I was assigned this time had a nice view looking straight ahead, with a direct view of the river and the Ferris wheel. However, if you looked down, there was a European-style cemetery. I personally don't mind it as it's not part of my cultural beliefs, but if you're bothered by it, I suggest mentioning it to the front desk when you check in.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed... The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them. The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality. Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better. Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

ZZaichuangxintianyaThe location is pretty good, with EM Mall right next door, making dining, shopping, and entertainment incredibly convenient. However, it's a bit of a trek to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy. While Bangkok has bike-sharing services like Hello Ride, they're not very practical due to the lack of dedicated bike lanes and the requirement to return bikes to fixed locations. The breakfast spread is excellent, and the staff are all very professional and enthusiastic. Although the price was a bit higher during Chinese New Year, it's still a highly recommended hotel offering great value for money in Bangkok's Sukhumvit area.

AAnonymous UserA good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again. 1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course) 2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions. 3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.
