Staff very friendly and helpful. Had two meals and beer here. First meal of burger was good, second meal of pork belly was really very good both with local beer. Pub is busy but everyone friendly and make an effort to fit in if not booked. Stunning location and gardens.

A big thank you to Darren, Lisa, Kerry and all the support crew at the Anchor Inn, Exebridge. Clay shooting at Ashcombe during the day with 20 friends and neighbours and then an evening meal and drinks at the Anchor. Perfect food, perfect company and a perfect venue. We even had a darts board set up for us. An amazing finish to a superb day. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The service was faultless.

Absolutely lovely place for Sunday lunch. They accommodated 18 of us on a nice big table and made the dogs welcome too. The Sunday lunch was delicious, hot and of great quality and the staff were super. The pub is traditional looking on the putsidr but has a bright airy feeling inside. Very welcoming.

A really lovely spot, warm welcome and great beer They let us park and stay the night in our motorhome - few better places or views to wake up to A stunning location beside the river A varied menu of home cooked food with something for everyone Highly recommended

Very disappointed I must say. Having spent £70 a night expect a lot better. Bathroom light flickered all the time, two lights in the entrance to the room didn't work at all and when I mentioned that they was aware. The biscuits supplied was over a month out of date and when I complained they went to find more and came back with the excuse the supplier must've send an out of date box, this is a health and safety issue! Got the whole feeling the room at been unoccupied for a while. Finally the shower took near 10 minutes to get hot

Stopped here for lunch and were welcomed warmly and shown to a table by the wood burner. We spoke to four different members of staff who were all very friendly and helpful. We shared starters of tempura prawns and brie wedges, which were delicious followed by a lovely plate of fish and chips. Food and drink prices were good. We would definitely return.

We had a wedding reception here. It was just fantastic. Steph, Darren and team went above and beyond. It was such a brilliant atmosphere, food outstanding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The gardens and pub are beautiful

We visited this pub on 2 consecutive evenings for food with our dog. We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. The food and service was great, and our dog got a lot of attention! Lovely pub, friendly vibe, great menu with beautifully presented and tasty food. Highly recommended!
