Old shabby hotel catering to visiting local tourists, mainly. If you're a foreigner, the drivers of the cabs waiting outside the Hotel will rip you off 20-30 yuan unless you pay attention to the meter and immediately yell at them in case of overcharge. (Almost) noone at the check-in desk speaks English unless you chance on a manager. There're two teenage consierge boys at the main entrance, who boss the incoming patrons around and tell them how to live. The restaurant prices are on a par with those at Shangri-La hotel, but with far fewer choices and lower in cooking quality. The only BIG advantage if you're a swimmer like myself: a former German ”Kaiser” swimming beach is right accross the road. It's now callled ”Bathing Beach 1.” Awesome for doing non-stop laps for an hour. And even then: you can easily get to the beach by metro from any other Qingdao hotel. Just get off at Huiquan Square (Line 3) and come out through Exit C.

I had the pleasure to stay at the Haiyi sailboat hotel. I must say that the hotel is perfectly located between the Qingdao big mall and Padaguan all of this right on the beachside. The hotel is brand new, the staff is very professional and making sure you are not missing anything. Room Condition: The room is clean as it is a new hotel. I used it well because there was an air purifier. The amenities are sufficiently set up. It is convenient to control the curtains and lights. 3. Breakfast: It was nice to have a meal while looking at the sea at the restaurant, and I could eat Chinese and western styles. The instant noodles and huntun were delicious. It was convenient to make coffee and bring it to me right away. 4. Swimming Pool: I liked the swimming pool the most in this hotel.
