"1. **Facilities:** The hotel has a main building and a south building. If you're sensitive to noise, definitely book a room on the 30th floor or higher in the main building. Rooms below the 30th floor haven't been renovated, so they have old facilities and poor soundproofing. On my first night, I stayed on the 29th floor. The room was old, and the gap under the door was huge, so there was basically no sound insulation. Any noise in the corridor could be heard, which meant I didn't get any rest all night. The duvet was also a Japanese style, like a 'sandwich cookie' – sheets on the top and bottom with the duvet in the middle, unlike our usual duvets with a proper cover. The bathroom also had the old Japanese style where the sink and tub were crammed together, and you had to stand inside the tub to shower. The next morning, I asked the front desk to change rooms, and I got one on the 31st floor, which was completely different from the 29th! The room was larger than the 29th-floor one, newly renovated, and had a wet and dry separation in the bathroom, meaning the sink and shower area were separate. The shower area even had both a shower and a soaking tub. The shower gel and shampoo were all L'Occitane brand, and the duvet had a proper cover. Most importantly, the soundproofing was much, much better! So take my advice: when booking, make sure to ask the front desk for a new room, as I feel there might be some preferential treatment given that many Westerners book this hotel. 2. **Transportation:** There's a direct shuttle bus from Haneda Airport to the hotel entrance. The bus attendant will help you with your luggage, so you don't have to carry it yourself, which is perfect for travelers with large suitcases. The return trip is the same, and this was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. However, it's worth noting that the earliest hotel shuttle to the airport on the return trip is at 8 AM. If you have an early flight, you'll need to go to the Shinjuku Bus Terminal to catch a bus to the airport. I had a 9 AM flight that day, so I had to go to the Shinjuku terminal. Luckily, the hotel isn't too far from the Shinjuku terminal, about a 15-minute walk. I asked the hotel staff to call a taxi for me, which cost around 1000 yen. For the subway, the closest station is Shinjuku, about a 10-minute walk to the entrance. 3. **Dining:** There's a 7-Eleven convenience store downstairs from the hotel. If you don't want to eat breakfast at the hotel, you can cross the street opposite the hotel entrance and walk for about 3 minutes to find a cafe for breakfast. Since the building above is offices, many local office workers choose to eat there. The coffee and food are decent, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend trying the pork cutlet sandwich – it's delicious. **Cleanliness:** I have to admit, the cleanliness was excellent, whether in the old 29th-floor room or the 31st-floor room. It was consistently top-notch, meeting five-star standards. Even though the old room was dated, it wasn't dirty. I specifically checked the bathtub for stains, and there was no dust in the crevices of the bedside tables, on the TV remote, or on the air purifier – all those little spots you don't usually notice. So, cleanliness-wise, it's definitely okay."

"This was my third stay, and the hotel's location is fantastic, right inside the amusement park. Suidobashi Station is also incredibly convenient for transportation. The hotel is huge and very busy, but the price is quite reasonable. Given the volume of guests, it's understandable that the front desk staff might struggle to keep up. However, the self check-in/check-out machines are a nice addition. There are a couple of hardware issues: ① The elevators are very slow. Even with separate high and low zones, during peak check-out times in the morning, you might have to wait for several elevators before you can get down. I feel like the algorithm could be optimized. ② The rooms are advertised as over 30 square meters, but they don't feel that big – more like 25 square meters. It's hard to even lay a large suitcase flat. This is probably difficult to change. The biggest disappointment this time was that the Tokyo Dome City Attractions were closed due to ***. I tried to cancel my reservation a few days in advance, but it wasn't allowed, which felt a bit inflexible."

"The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to Chinatown, making it incredibly convenient for dining. The beds in the rooms are quite large, unlike typical twin beds. Although the hotel is a bit old, the cleanliness is decent. However, on our last night, around 4 AM, a drunk Japanese guest tried to open our room door. While they didn't succeed, it genuinely scared us. We immediately reported it to housekeeping, asking them to check the surveillance cameras. Housekeeping initially said the cameras couldn't see that area. Since it was still early morning, we decided to address it again at check-out the next day. When we checked out, we raised the issue once more. The front desk assistant manager, a woman named Junko, handled our complaint very seriously. Her English was excellent. I insisted that the cameras be checked immediately. When we returned from dinner, she confirmed it was a drunk Japanese guest. Regardless of whether that's true or not, I appreciated her positive attitude. Everyone knows Japanese people enjoy drinking, and I just wanted to bring this to the hotel's attention, hoping they'll take incidents involving intoxicated guests trying to open random doors seriously to prevent them from happening again!"

Hotel near Shinjuku/Nakano,Tokyo
Opened in March, 2018. Nishi-Shinjuku 5-chome station 1 minute.With large public bath.Tower type hotel.

"Avoid the breakfast. Don't waste your money. Take a room without breakfast and save yourself 25 Canadian dollars per day. Without question worst quality breakfast I have ever had anywhere in Japan in the 8 years I have been traveling in Japan. The restaurant is leased and it's quite evident that the owners cut costs wherever they can. If you like fat, carbohydrates, powdered juices, canned fruit cocktail, warm yogurt, sugary cereals, greasy deep fried food you'll be in heaven. Otherwise skip this place you can do so much better spending your $25 outside of this hotel. I won't get into the details of how management handled this situation but suffice it to say that my complaints basically fell on deaf ears because they believed the restaurant over what was very obvious. The only fresh fruit they offer are cut up orange slices and cut up grapefruit slices. The unsanitary uncooled yogurt bowl is just foul. Just think how many hands touch that ladle and the fact that it's not being kept cool is shocking. Why they don't have small individual containers and a fridge to store them in is beyond me. While the hotel is clean and the service from the front desk staff very very good the rooms are incredibly small even for Japan. I ordered a double room for a single person. It was supposed to be a full-sized double bed. Well I had to sleep diagonally and I'm 6 ft 1 in. The mattress was old and soft and I have had back pain every single day. Typically in Japan you'll find hard beds much better quality than these beds. I will say the Onsen on the second floor was very nice to have and use each morning and each evening after a long day. The water temperature is very hot so it's something you'll have to get used to. It seems tattoos are accepted in this Onsen because I saw several guys that had tattoos and they told me it wasn't an issue which is quite unusual once again for Japan. There is only cleaning of the room every 3 days but they do provide you fresh towels each day. The towels are hung on your door in a plastic bag. Check out is very early at 10:00 a.m. and they don't allow for any flexibility unless you pay about $20 per hour which is crazy. They do have storage facilities for your luggage during the day and the staff are very helpful. The location is poor. There are very few restaurants in the area and the ones that are are just not quality restaurants. I've stayed in Tokyo a dozen times and this was my least favorite location and least favorite hotel for a number of reasons but especially the room size. I can live with a small room but these rooms are so crowded you can't even move. I couldn't imagine having two people in the room. APA hotels are usually quite good and reasonably priced but the big fail here is the quality and size of the beds and the leased restaurant. The food is a big fail for APA Hotel standards but that's a consistency issue that needs to be addressed by top management between all their hotels. There's lots of better hotels in the same price range and better location bigger rooms better quality everything. It would be the last Hotel I'd return to in Tokyo."

"The hotel is in a great location, very close to Disney. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from the hotel and Disneyland &/Disney Ocean. It takes about 10-15 minutes to drive. Soon, you can play until the last minute and close the door and then relax at the hotel! And the hotel room is very large, you can open two luggages and there is a lot of space to walk. The toilet has a bathtub, you can take a hot bath to relax when you come back from the park, right! Recommend everyone to stay"

A new urban hotel with a large bath and swimming pool!

"My stay at APA Hotel & Resort Roppongi Ekihigashi was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of the staff. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the team was always polite, attentive, and ready to assist with any questions. The location is absolutely perfect—situated in the vibrant Roppongi area, yet tucked away just enough to provide a peaceful and relaxing environment. It’s within easy walking distance of multiple subway stations, making it incredibly convenient to explore Tokyo. Whether you're interested in nightlife, dining, or sightseeing, everything is right at your doorstep. The rooms, while compact as expected in Tokyo, are exceptionally well-designed. Every inch of space is utilized thoughtfully, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities provided were more than sufficient, including high-quality toiletries, a large TV, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. One of the standout features of this hotel is the resort-style facilities. The public bath (onsen) was a highlight of my stay—spotlessly clean, relaxing, and the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The pool and other amenities add an extra layer of comfort that you don’t always find in city hotels. The breakfast buffet was another pleasant surprise, offering a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented, making it a great way to start the day. Overall, APA Hotel & Resort Roppongi Ekihigashi offers incredible value for money. It combines convenience, comfort, and excellent service in one of Tokyo’s most exciting districts. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo, whether for business or leisure, and I would absolutely stay here again."
