Room was dirty. Made the mistake of taking my shoes off and after an hour my feet with very dirty. Large red stain in carpet...given the people hanging around in front of the hotel, made me wonder if it was a crime scene and not a random spill. Even if it was a random spill, that should be fixed. We were as 'tired' as the decor in the room, so we dealt with the room that night. The next day, we complained about the room and said we were leaving (we were supposed to stay 3 days). They offered to move us to a different room, but why would we think another room would be better maintained? They told us we had to contact ******* for any refund even after we told them that we paid the hotel directly. ******* said they couldn't do anything because we paid the hotel directly, but did call the hotel to see if they could get the 2nd and 3rd nights refunded. The hotel said they'd refund the 3rd night only, which we were not happy about given the state of the room and the hotel overall. We'd get it if we were simply leaving early....but we were quite clear that the hotel did not meet our limited minimum standards....and did not feel we should be charged for a crappy product. Would sleep in the car before we stayed there again.
