Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Shanghai

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, as we were in transit from Japan. As a 1-night accommodation during transit close to Pudong Airport is the best option. The rooms are incredibly spacious, there are all necessary hygiene products, water and tea, a very good breakfast, and a free shuttle from the airport. But if you plan to visit the city, it's better to look at hotels closer to Shanghai, because you can only get to the center by taxi for 200+ yuan one way. The journey will take about 40 minutes. I would like to note the work of the staff — the girl at the reception helped us order a taxi, as the app in Alipay was not working correctly on our phones. The guys at the reception don't speak English very well, but they use a translator.

The hotel is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the airport and offers a free shuttle service. The staff were friendly, and check-in was quick and smooth. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

Great place for business trips, a 10 minute walk from Jinqiao station. The breakfast was really nice, with both western and Chinese cuisine. Would surely stay again.

📍Location: Metro Line 2 (light green line), direct from the airport. Alight at Tangzhen Station, Exit 2 or 3. The exits lead to a large shopping mall called Sunshine Paradise a large shopping mall with a supermarket, Hey Tea, Family Mart, Hot Max, numerous restaurants, and McDonald's. Across from the hotel, there are more restaurants, but a bakery, a supermarket, and a Decathlon store. 🛋️The room was spacious and well-laid out, located at a corner, with ample space for 4 large suitcases, a small coffee table, and a work area. ::)There are laundry and drying facilities on the 4th floor (discovered this late in the trip). ::)Breakfast was included for 4 people. The variety of food was impressive (Xiao Long Bao, Chinese noodles with a made-to-order soup station, Western/Eastern breakfast options) and the menu changed daily. 🚐 For the return trip to the airport, a car was booked through Trip.com, which was about the same price as Didi and took approximately 30 minutes.

⸻ I recently attended the SNEC Expo and stayed at this business hotel, which I booked for my CEO. The location is convenient, though not within walking distance to the expo. However, it's just a short 10-15 minute ride with Didi, making it easily accessible. The hotel provided a comfortable and professional environment, perfect for business travelers.

It was a good place for the price of a hotel in Shanghai. They could communicate in English. They were very attentive and even gave me chopsticks when i requested for them. I feel like it has a hostel vibe to it. I didnt want to spend too much on a hotel and braced myself for the worst because of the price but i genuinely had a good stay.

Location, room comfort, hotel condition I chose the Holiday Inn for its location.my late check-in and overnight stay was a very pleasant experience: comfortable bed and pillows, courteous and helpful staff, clean and generous sized room, plus professional service, efficiency and tranquility for business travel. Recommended!

This stay was very satisfying. The hotel environment is clean and elegant, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the details are handled very attentively. The front desk reception is warm and professional, and the check-in and check-out are very efficient. Special thanks to the room service staff, who always smile and respond to needs in a timely manner. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes very good. The overall atmosphere is warm and relaxing. It is very suitable for business trips or travel, and it is worth choosing again!

My stay here was fine and met my expectations. Breakfast was ok, with decent coffee and a few western items. Checking in and out was efficient and quick and the staff were polite. The room was small although the bathroom was decent and had the level of toiletries and amenities you might expect.

Location is a bit far from the main attractions, took us 25-60mins to get to them. First time in Shanghai and lack of research on the attraction locations. Service by the F&B staff was great. They were diligent, hardworking, fast and multi-taskers. The teamwork amongst them was brilliant always ensuring tables are cleared & food topped up. Some of them even helped out in housekeeping!! The reception ladies were excellent, very patient, very helpful and informative. They even helped us order our takeout meals. Facilities is minimal but that is all we needed, washing machine/dryer, 2 gym equipment and 24/7 hot drinks corner.
