Great spot 4 miles from genting arena, free parking, friendly host and a great breakfast. Slightly let down by loose toilet seat, radiator not working and shower a bit grubby, but would certainly use it again!

A very convenient B&B located very close to the NEC. I stayed here for two nights while attending an exhibition. Jamie was a great host and he cooked a good breakfast. Very reasonably priced compared to other hotels near the NEC. Located close enough to a town with several good Indian restaurants.

We arrived later in the evening, the owner was very polite and welcoming. Great accommodation, with lounge and breakfast area. The bedroom sizes were just enough for what we wanted. The owner went out of his way to do an early breakfast for us, couldn’t highly recommend enough. Thank you.

Our stay was a very pleasentone and an Ideal place to stayn if you are going to the NEC as only 5 mins down the road. Jamie served a very excellent English breakfast. Will certainly try to book again next time we are in the area.

The Haymill was easy to find situated just off a dual carriage way but very quiet. I was given an entry code for the front door on arrival. The large modern property was welcoming, with plenty of parking and lovely large garden and smelled clean when I entered. I was very happy to have been given a double room on ground floor with comfortable bed and good quality linen. It had an ensuite shower room with towels and basic toiletries, hairdryer and multichannel TV. There is a large bright lounge and breakfast room with a hot drinks machine which you are welcome to use anytime. The owner Jamie was very pleasant and helpful, chatty but professional. He made me a very nice cooked to order breakfast before I left. It took me less than 10 minutes to get to the NEC /Birmingham Airport from there. As a lone female guest I felt very comfortable and safe and would recommend

I was part of an all-female adult group who hired the whole property for the weekend via Air BnB. As we were coming from all over the country, the location was top priority and this guesthouse was in an excellent central location very close to the M42/M6. The property itself is clearly signposted and has lots of parking. It was quite hard to find a property that not only could sleep 11 adults but also had enough bathrooms which Haymills did, with every room being en-suite. Upon arrival, the first guest to arrive was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and showed her the basics, such as the key code to the front door (much easier than one person having to remember the key). The guesthouse is well decorated and has a modern feel throughout. The kitchen was very well stocked with cutlery, crockery, pans etc which is often an issue at some locations. There was also a coffee machine that we could use. The welcome basket was a nice touch including bottle of wine. Each room was different and some were quite small but fine for single sleepers. I stayed in the largest room which was very spacious. A few of my fellow guests mentioned that the plug points didn't fit with the furniture layout i.e. you couldn't use them easily and there was no mirror in our bedroom which would have been helpful. Our bathroom had a bath and large shower cubicle which was clean and we had towels/basic toiletries provided. The main issue we had was with the central heating which wasn't working. The host did respond quickly after being called and came to investigate. He had to concede defeat and called a plumber. Fortunately, the hot water was still working and it wasn't particularly cold for the time of year. The host did bring round several electric heaters which were enough for most, but not all, bedrooms. He did bring round a couple more the following day. Despite a visit from the plumber on the second day, the heating was not fixed during our stay. It didn't ruin it but it did mean we had to layer up and move heaters around to make sure everyone's room was warm enough. The lounge was pleasant and nicely furnished. It had a large TV which we didn't use. The large lounge doors/windows had blinds but no curtains (there was a curtain rail) so not sure if this is on the 'to do' list but curtains would have made for a warmer room (and look nicer too). The lounge door was a bit strange in that it had no handle/mechanism so was held closed by a door stop meaning that every time someone left the room, someone in the room had to push the door closed; again, a minor thing but it had a bit of an 'unfinished' feel to it. The house itself is located near the village of Hampton-in-Arden, a very attractive village. We went to the White Lion Inn on the Saturday night for a meal which was delicious. There is a train track running along the back of the property but it didn't cause any issues re noise, nor did the A452 which is a dual carriageway but surprisingly quie

There are some positives to this Air BnB Every room has its own en-suite and it’s certainly had a premier inn feel to the bedrooms, but the bathrooms definitely were lacking the same feel But the bedrooms were clean and tidy including bedding and towels, Hairdryers provided (but see below) Big lounge, dining area, kitchen and fridges for the 11 of us Heating - well there was none. Not sure when the heating had failed, or whether it was temperamental but very odd circumstances indeed… A number of calls and messages back and forth on the Friday night resulted in electric heaters being delivered by the owners. A plumber was summoned but still wasn’t fixed before we had left. There wasn’t enough heaters to keep bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas warm, so it was a as of pass the parcel in moving heaters from one room to another. Bit impossible to heat the bathrooms. Fortunately it wasn’t the coldest weekend in 2023. But the house never really got warm all weekend. The main dining room was abandoned and we crammed ourselves into the kitchen to eat which was a squeeze but at least warmed from ovens. Never been so glad to pack a hot water bottle as I had done, but of a last minute item but absolutely needed. And the other bits The en-suites are tired and tiles need significant regroutting, Showers were hot put didn’t have much oumph in the way of water pressure or flow, Bathrooms freezing (although probably related to the heating (or lack of) that weekend, No curtains in the lounge/ living room (there was a rail but no curtains) which would have kept the room warm physically and aesthetically, Plugs hidden behind chest of drawers a nd mirrors on opposite walls to the plugs meant it was impossible to dry your hair in the mirror. Could b Easily fix. Plus there were plugs either side of the bed but the small shelf underneath meant the wire from the plug had to be bent at an almost 90 degree angle to use. All ok all 3 stars but could easily have been a 4 with just a bit of work and thought
