Very nice atmosphere that really make you feel like you are on a holiday. Bump into a wedding ceremony when I checked in. Staff was friendly. However there are no free parking even staying with the hotel. I like the view from the window.
Rosebud Motel

Under new management since the start of the year, Alberto and Elaine have since created a haven of comfort and tranquility in Rosebud Motel. They are seasoned travellers and excellent hosts, and know the true meaning of hospitality and a warm welcome. We stayed in Room 9, which was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The owners had recently redone the room with brand-new furnishings and mattresses, and we slept soundly on them. The room was well-equipped with everything needed and the bathroom was impeccable. While it was too cold when we visited for a swim in the spacious pool, we greatly enjoyed the games room with its pool table and widescreen TV and the covered barbecue area. The prices are the most affordable in the region, the value is outstanding, but most importantly Alberto and Elaine are two of the best hosts a traveller could ever hope to meet.
Peppers Moonah Links Resort

We stayed here at short notice after our flights were cancelled to go to Queensland so it was a spur of the moment booking. Neither my partner or I are into golf so we didn't take advantage of perhaps the biggest attraction to the resort. The main building and restaurant were lovely and the room we stayed in was amazing with a great view across the fairways. Perhaps the only disappointment was that on check in we were given a room hidden away at the back of the resort which wasn't what we booked for. On coming back, it became apparent that the reception staff assumed we were checking in for a 'dirty weekend', hence the room change. For the first time ever, I had to sign an agreement that if we made too much room, I would agree to be moved to another wing. Other than that, we really enjoyed the stay.
Rye Hotel - One Four Nelson

Booked a King Deluxe Suite and called the property to ensure it is at ground level with a walk in shower, instead of a spa bath due to a disability and a kid. All was confirmed along with late check out at 11 am. We arrive at the property and low and behold, the room allocated was an upstair room, and was told there are no notes there on the booking and we cannot be allocated a room downstairs.  The receptionist said she might know who we spoke to, but unfortunately they are no longer attached to the hotel. How convenient. More over, we were told there is an issue they are having with bookings with booking.com.   The worst part was she was now trying to put us up in a tiny cooped up room above the reception/pub, which was across the main hotel and smaller, saying there was an elevator, which I refused. Ended up staying in the room originally allocated upstairs, with unwashed sticky cutlery, because I could manage the stairs on the day and didn't want to ruin the much awaited holiday after the long lock down.  The situation was handled poorly and the receptionist never once was empathetic or apologetic about the mistake occured from their side and just kept blaming the lack of notes. Unprofessional, rude and sneaky! Didn't even bother to ask about the late check out, coz we were sure there would be no notes.  Tip: Get any special requests via email so you have it in writing, coz they are going to blatantly deny every word confirmed over the phone
Moonlight Bay Apartments

The hotel is close to the wheel pier, in the center of the town, and it takes about ten minutes to walk to the bay pier in the town. The sanitation and facilities of the hotel are very good. There are all kinds of things in the kitchen, with salt and pepper. The range hood is directly outside the ceiling, so there is no smell of food in the room, so the sanitary environment is good. The service aunt was patient and took me to explain where the car was parked, where the room was, how to call if there was anything, and tried to dial the phone until you understood.
