"The hotel is relatively new, located directly opposite the pier for boat tours on Erhai Lake. I stayed for two nights over the weekend and wasn't bothered by any noise from the road. The room had a JBL speaker, a humidifier, complimentary welcome fruit, and free soft drinks in the mini-fridge. They also offered a complimentary 'starry sky' afternoon tea on the top floor. The gym and swimming pool on the 23rd floor offer great views. Bathroom amenities, hairdryer, and breakfast are all as pictured. It's about 8 km from the ancient city and 10 km from the airport, so it's conveniently located between the two. There are many dining options downstairs, and you can also take a stroll to Erhai Park. The service was excellent; they called to remind me and provide information the day before check-in, and there was a selection of pillows available. Soundproofing was average, but luckily, my neighbors were quiet during my two-day stay. The breakfast restaurant is a bit small but offers specialty rice noodles, roasted sweet potatoes, and roasted potatoes. Overall, it's decent, though it can't compare to Shangri-La. It's comparable to the Dali Shili Hilton. The Shili Hilton's facilities are a bit older, but the rooms are larger, and it's closer to the ancient city, the Erhai Lake corridor, and the Cangshan Mountain cableway, though further from the airport."

"This has been the best B&B experience I've had in Yunnan so far! The room looks exactly like the pictures. The B&B is near Caicun village, and we stayed on the 3rd floor, which offered fantastic views. In front, we had the beautiful S-bend of Erhai Lake, and behind, large wisteria bushes and Cangshan Mountain. There's also an observation deck upstairs for even more unobstructed views. The room is spacious, with high-tech amenities and large floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the scenery just by opening the curtains. I was pleasantly surprised that the water heater provided instant hot water. The courtyard is very clean, and the host even helped us with our luggage. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. (If you're driving, I'd recommend parking outside the village, as the roads inside are very narrow, making it difficult to pass oncoming cars and easy to scrape your vehicle.)"

The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

The hotel's views are absolutely unbeatable. The room was spacious and clean, and the front desk and service staff were all attentive and warm, immediately resolving any issues that arose. It's a great hotel and I would recommend it to friends. I do hope the hotel considers two improvements: first, there's no live TV in the room, and most shows on the app require separate payment. Second, the food (breakfast) was rather mediocre.

Pros: Great location, new rooms, good privacy, and enthusiastic staff. Areas for improvement: 1. The hotel needs to clarify its positioning. If it's a high-end family-friendly hotel, then the kids' programs need to be well-developed to keep children engaged. If it's positioned as a high-end resort for adults, then there should be clear restrictions on young children to ensure public areas, including restaurants, remain quiet and orderly. For a hotel at this price point, the environment should meet guests' expectations. 2. Improve accessibility for self-driving guests. All three roads leading in and out of the hotel are single-lane, making it incredibly difficult to pass oncoming vehicles. My car was scratched on the way out. 3. Service details need improvement. One day, we returned to our room at 1 PM to find it hadn't been cleaned. On another day, around 3 PM, we found standing water on the bathroom floor – I'm not sure how the cleaning staff managed that. We had three people staying, but only ever received two bath towels. The restaurant staff lacked experience and weren't attentive enough. When settling the bill, they never asked if I had any discount vouchers (which resulted in me paying full price for 4 out of 5 meals, charged to the room, and non-modifiable).

The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and I could watch the sunset from the balcony. The room itself was incredibly spacious. Waking up to such an expansive sea view every day really brightened my mood. I highly recommend room 301! The lady at the front desk was also exceptionally kind and attentive 🫶. I even met the owner, and everyone was just so welcoming and friendly.

We were really pleased with our stay at the YueLianZhuang parent-child slide room. The kids absolutely loved the slide in the room, and we enjoyed the private hot spring bath. The room was spacious with a great sea view, and all the children's amenities were provided. The butler was very responsive, and the buggy service to and from the car park was convenient. The afternoon tea and goodnight sweet soup added a nice touch of ceremony. The rooftop view was incredible, with an infinity pool, swings, and a glass platform – perfect for photos, especially at sunset over Erhai Lake. Just a heads up, it gets quite windy on the rooftop, so make sure to keep a close eye on the little ones.

This hidden gem of a guesthouse in Dali Ancient City truly offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The room design is simply elegant, and in the afternoon, I loved sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, enjoying the lush greenery outside – it was so peaceful and perfectly unwound me from my travels. The entire guesthouse was immaculately clean, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The host was thoughtful and kind, and the location is super convenient, being very close to the ancient city's streets and alleys, making it easy to explore and find places to eat. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation in Dali, highly recommended!

Reuniting with old classmates in Dali, Heleju's handicraft activities added so much fun to our trip. We collected leaves in the courtyard for botanical printing, taking turns hammering away, then compared our creations, laughing and chatting the whole afternoon. We also made traditional Chinese medicine sachets, each choosing our own herbs, sewing them up, and taking them home to hang on our bags. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The smart controls and projector were convenient. The location in Zhonghe Village made parking easy, and it was about a twenty-minute walk to the ancient city. In the evening, it was very quiet sitting in the courtyard, drinking tea and chatting. Choosing this place for our old friends' gathering was definitely the right decision.

Before booking, I was a bit hesitant because the rating wasn't great. However, my actual stay was very comfortable. The butler added me on WeChat during check-in, and we communicated smoothly. They responded promptly to all my messages and even sent information about the hotel and operating hours, which was super convenient and hassle-free. The connecting room offered fantastic views directly overlooking Erhai Lake, making it very open and airy with fresh air. In the mornings, a small squirrel even visited my balcony! Housekeeping was timely every day. I visited the executive lounge once, and it was also good, with even better views than the lobby. The concierge staff were all excellent; they always asked about luggage and helped open/close car doors whenever I got in or out. I tried the tie-dye and Jiamu activities, but I didn't experience the travel photography.

You can watch the sunrise, sunset, and birds from the bed, and the views are absolutely stunning. It's not as noisy as other popular tourist spots. The suite has two bathrooms, and there's also a bathtub with a disposable liner for soaking. The mattress is super comfortable too. The only minor drawback is that the toilet is a bit basic and occasionally has drainage issues. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I initially thought this would just be a simple one-night stay, but it turned out to be a huge and pleasant surprise! The complimentary airport pick-up service was really great. Master Wang was so enthusiastic and professional, and he provided a very thorough explanation during the short ride. For just two adults and one child, they sent a business van, which was very clean and completely odor-free. The hotel room was spacious. I booked a king-size room with a terrace on the third floor, and the view was absolutely stunning. I spent time just sitting on the terrace, daydreaming both in the morning and evening – I absolutely loved that feeling. There were many green plants and unknown flowers in the small courtyard outside the room and on the terrace. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety and tasted excellent. The hotel's location is also convenient; it's very close to the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, and a taxi ride to the ancient city or the Gantong cableway only costs around 20-30 RMB. If I ever get the chance to visit Dali again, I will definitely choose Yiyun.
