In summary: you could not ask for a better location; room is comfortable and well kept; yes, there is a little noise but this is very very centrally located in the old town so you need to decide whether you want monastic silence or being part of a lively old city. VERY centrally located in the old town. If you travel with a wheely bag, you won't like this place - stairs and cobblestones to access the hotel and stairs up to and inside. This place is literally within the old castle walls. I stayed in the first floor room ("Terra") - yes, there are sounds from the front door and stairs outside the room but if you're looking for silence, you should't be looking at places in the central old town. To be honest - having lived in London for many years, this place was very quiet in comparison. The room is well equipped with TV (not that I used it) and good quality air conditioning. The shower pressure is strong and temperature hot (so long as you don't inadvertently switch off the hot water). The bed is big and comfortable and the room has its own small fridge, kettle and cups/glasses. Room service was once a day with the bed made, glasses washed and bathroom cleaned. Breakfast is provided in the hotel next door (dining inside or out - out was much nicer for fresh air and people watching). Thanks Ivan for a warm welcome and comfortable stay
