3-Star Hotels in Macau

The rooms are nice and very clean, the deluxe double room has a sofa and a refrigerator; each room has mainland charging sockets. There's a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and a sky garden on the rooftop, which is a bit small. The service is also very good. The location is next to Guia Lighthouse hill, which might be a bit out of the way for some people, but getting around is still convenient. The hotel offers shuttle buses to some attractions, and there's a public bus stop next to the basement level. It's about 900 meters to Senado Square and Grand Lisboa on foot, but the path to the hotel is uphill. There's an elevator that goes directly to the hotel entrance from one point. I'm very satisfied with this trip!

This is my second time staying at the Grand Dragon Hotel, this time for my child's graduation ceremony at Macau Polytechnic University. The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the university. After clearing customs, you can take bus route 10 directly to the hotel, which is super convenient. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even upgraded us to a deluxe room. They knew we were attending a graduation ceremony until noon, so they specially arranged a late check-out for us. Their personalized service was truly thoughtful! The room was spacious, neat, and clean, and also came with complimentary bottled water, free coffee and tea bags, and free WiFi. We also spontaneously added breakfast at the front desk, which was very easy, and the restaurant is right in the lobby on the first floor. Overall, our stay felt incredibly warm and comforting. I sincerely thank the hotel for their considerate service! Looking forward to seeing you again next time!

This hotel is my go-to whenever I'm in Macau, and I've given it great reviews many times before. However, this time I hit a snag. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the Border Gate (roughly every hour). We were waiting in the lobby 40 minutes early, and the shuttle did arrive on time. But then it took a winding route, picking up people at multiple stops, not at all like a direct car or public bus route. A trip that should have taken less than 20 minutes ended up taking over an hour to reach the Border Gate! What's more, where we were dropped off wasn't directly at the Border Gate entrance; we had to lug our luggage up and down stairs and walk a bit to even see the Border Gate. We almost missed our departure.

This is my nth time staying at the Grand View Hotel. I requested a room with a view of the airplanes, and the front desk was very helpful in changing it for me. It's super convenient for getting takeout and transportation is great. The room is small, but it has everything you need.

This hotel is also great for families with kids. It's right across from Galaxy Macau and close to Hengqin Port. The window offers a direct view of the University of Macau (near the Border Gate). We pushed the beds together, and our child slept safely. Now for the negative points: Make sure to communicate clearly with the front desk beforehand. I checked in with my child and elderly parent. The front desk asked me if I smoked, and I replied that I *used to*. They then assigned me to a smoking floor (PS: neither my child nor my elderly parent smokes, let alone me in a smoky environment). As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I was hit by a strong smell of smoke – the room also smelled of smoke! I immediately called to request a room change, but they said they were fully booked and couldn't move us, insisting that the front desk had clarified everything with me! They only sent a staff member to spray air freshener in the room. Seriously, the communication from the front desk was anything but clear! Later at night, after turning up the air conditioning, the duvet and pillows reeked of smoke. I woke up twice in the middle of the night. Also, the room near the elevator wasn't ideal; there were many people passing by the elevator late at night, and the soundproofing wasn't great, making it quite noisy.

The room was very spacious, which I really liked! It was also quite convenient to get to The Venetian and Galaxy on foot. There's a bus stop right outside, which is great for getting around. Taxis were a bit hard to come by; the front desk managed to call one for me once, but the second time there were no cars available, so I had to use Uber myself. There are many convenience stores downstairs, which is very handy. The room Wi-Fi was genuinely terrible, and the signal was bad. A lot of people checked in after 3 PM, and going down in the elevator during busy times also meant a long wait. That's about it; otherwise, for the price, it was decent.

Five stars, highly recommended! My stay completely exceeded my expectations this trip. Excellent location: Very close to the high-speed rail station, which made catching my train super easy. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, making it convenient for getting around and shopping. Impeccable cleanliness: The lobby and corridors were clean and odor-free. The room was bright and airy, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. All toiletries were provided, and there was no dust in any corners; the cleaning was very thorough. Attentive service: The front desk staff were friendly and handled check-in and check-out very quickly. They were responsive to requests and polite, without ever feeling perfunctory. Comfortable facilities: The room was spacious, the mattress was just right (not too soft, not too hard), and the air conditioning, hot water, and charging facilities all worked perfectly. The soundproofing was great, ensuring an undisturbed rest. Overall, incredible value for money: The environment, service, and facilities were all top-notch. Staying here immediately made me feel relaxed after a long journey. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling or on a business trip!

The location is super convenient, it's clean, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. There's a bus stop right by the hotel that goes directly to Gongbei Port. The hotel staff were very welcoming and even allowed me to check in early since a room was available, which was great because I didn't have to wait until 2 PM.

## Location: Absolutely a fantastic 5-star location! The hotel is directly opposite Sands, and Fisherman's Wharf is right next to Sands. March is the off-peak season in Macau, so there's no direct bus from Hengqin Port to Sands. You need to transfer at The Venetian, but it's still quite convenient. From Sands to the hotel, you have to cross a pedestrian bridge, but there's a 24-hour elevator. Once you exit the elevator, it's not a long walk in either direction, which is very helpful for travelers with luggage. ## Surroundings: To the right of the hotel, there's a small alley that leads directly to Macao Polytechnic University, less than 100 meters away, making it super convenient for students taking exams there. A 5-minute walk to the left will take you to the Lotus Square, and you can also see the Golden Lotus from the pathway behind the hotel. If you head right out of the hotel and walk straight down the main road for 15-20 minutes, you can reach the Grand Lisboa and Macau Tower. There are plenty of dining options nearby, probably due to its proximity to the university, with choices for all budgets. ## Facilities: The hotel reception is on the second floor. The interior facilities are complete, and the bedding and amenities are good. The room also has a refrigerator. The room isn't huge but doesn't feel cramped. ## Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well and felt comfortable. However, the windows are sealed, so upon first entering, there was a slight musty smell due to lack of ventilation. Thankfully, it dissipated after turning on the air conditioning and ventilation system. ## Environment: The hallway soundproofing isn't great; you can hear people walking and talking outside the room. Traffic noise from the street outside also comes through at night. However, this seems to be a common issue with hotels and can't be avoided. ## Service: The front desk staff are busy but very responsible, and they can switch between Mandarin and Cantonese freely for guests. A deposit is required for check-in, and Alipay is accepted.

This is my second stay here, and I'll definitely choose it again if I'm ever in the area. It's incredibly convenient. There are several large supermarkets downstairs, and a bus stop right there. The border crossing is only a seven or eight-minute walk away. Plus, it's not expensive.
