GGuest UserI brought my parents to Macau for a trip, and choosing Grand Emperor Hotel exceeded my expectations. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised by a special anniversary setup for my parents. The spacious room was a welcome relief after the relatively small and cramped space we had in Hong Kong for two days. We booked a family room, and from the bay window, we could catch a glimpse of the sea and the fountain, which was lovely. Both check-in and check-out were seamless; they didn't require a deposit. When we checked out, we left our luggage until later in the evening, and the friendly bellboy was very accommodating. The facilities are a bit dated, but acceptable. There's a plug that works with Chinese appliances, and the room has a safe and a mini-fridge. They also provide complimentary bottled water, drinks, and fruit. Breakfast was plentiful, and the freshly cooked beef brisket noodles were delicious and generously portioned. The Grand Emperor has an excellent location; it's about a 10-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's. Right outside the Yaohan department store next door, there's a shuttle bus to Taipa resorts, running about every 10 minutes. You can also get tickets at Grand Lisboa or Lisboa to take a shuttle to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, which is very convenient. Grand Emperor also has its own shuttle bus, but you need to book in advance, and the last bus at 5:15 PM is a bit early. So, on that day, we took the Lisboa shuttle at around 8 PM to Portas do Cerco (the border gate). The journey took about 15-20 minutes, and the last Lisboa bus is at 9:30 PM. Wynn is a bit further and doesn't require a ticket; you just queue up on the roadside for their shuttle, with the last bus at 11:30 PM. The Portas do Cerco border crossing is open until 1 AM. Arriving from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, we couldn't find the Grand Lisboa shuttle on the day of arrival, so we first took a free bus to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, then transferred to the green Lisboa shuttle. After getting off, we could see the Grand Emperor Hotel in the distance. It was about a 10-minute walk with our luggage, and everything worked out perfectly. All in all, I'm very satisfied, and booking through Trip.com was also reliable. Highly recommended!

Regarding the 'buy-one-get-one-free' offer for the Grand Hyatt Macau's Grand Club Lounge buffet breakfast: We booked a room online that included two breakfasts. When we arrived at the hotel, we purchased an additional breakfast. The breakfast leans more towards Western cuisine and was delicious 😋. Both kids loved it. From the R-level restaurant where breakfast is served, you can see the sea from both sides. We took a lot of photos; it was stunning. I absolutely love this hotel restaurant! My kids and I really enjoy the hotel's decor and style. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Macau.

CChuikongtiaodelouThe room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our first room had a smoke smell, but they immediately switched us to another one. It was the best night's sleep we had during our Hong Kong and Macau trip. There's a sour and spicy noodle shop right at the alley entrance downstairs from the hotel, and it was surprisingly delicious! When we left Macau, we luckily caught the hotel's free shuttle. It was a business van, and they dropped us off at the border crossing for free. Super awesome!!!

ZZhaoziqistevenI've stayed here countless times, usually for about a week each visit. The hotel service keeps getting better, and the toiletries in the rooms have been upgraded and are much nicer than before. I always have friendly chats with Manager Huang in the lobby. He's consistently attentive, and when we checked out, he asked if we needed any help with small things, like bags for our belongings, pre-arranged taxis, or even bottled water. It's those thoughtful touches that make a difference.

TTeoh ViaviaWhen I saw other people's reviews, we were actually a bit scared, worried if there really were 'things' like others said. But my attitude was, if you don't do bad things in broad daylight, you won't be afraid of ghosts knocking on your door at midnight.
But our family stayed there and it was quite alright. We found the environment pretty clean, just a pity we didn't get to use the bathtub... 😭 Sigh.
Another slight regret is that breakfast wasn't included... However, they did give us fast passes for the free cable car, which is a bonus since we didn't have to queue. There are also shops downstairs, which is quite convenient in Macau.

GGary H.K. ChanIt was our anniversary and Gary at reception offered us a lte check out since we arrived at the hotel quite late. We were also upgraded together with a free red wine as our gift and we were thrilled and we were further offered 2 complimentary breakfast althought we didn't use att the end. I found out that I didn't take my airpods with me at the time when I checked out and we went to lunch. I came back and then 2 receptionists helped me out and called the room to bring it back down even after checkout, I m so pleased by the services Ascott provided me and to us.
Thank you very much and I will for sure come again.
Btw the room we stayed was really nice spacious and comfortable.

KK and AThe location is a good escape from the city. The hotel still looks pretty okay although there’s some areas in the rooms needs a bit of attention. The hallways are very clean. Breakfast is basic with an okay selection. It would’ve been better if the restaurant runs til late especially if you want to chill and unwind at their cozy terrace and patio. We had to walk to another restaurant few meters away towards the beach which also closed few minutes after our arrival.

The soundproofing was also good, so it was very quiet in the evening. The shower pressure in the bathroom was strong, and the hot water came quickly, washing away all my fatigue.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located in the old town, a convenient 12-minute walk from Grand Lisboa. It's also just a 10-minute taxi ride to the Ruins of St. Paul's, making it easy to get around to all the attractions. There's a bus stop a few minutes' walk from the hotel entrance, with buses that can take you to any sight, so the location is excellent.
The rooms are clean and spacious, with the option to add an extra bed, which is great for family trips. The bathroom has a fantastic wet/dry separation, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. I highly recommend staying here; it offers great value for money compared to many other hotels in Macau.
