NNingchangbabyI was on a business trip to Kunming, and only stayed one night before heading to Lijiang. I hastily booked this hotel solely based on its high ratings, and I wasn't disappointed after checking in. The front desk staff were proactive in greeting me, and every service person had an excellent attitude. As for the room, the soundproofing was very good. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was exquisite. As someone in my middle age, almost peri-menopausal, I struggle with sleep and usually wake up before 6 or 7 AM. To my surprise, I slept until 8:30 AM at this hotel! That's incredibly rare, so I definitely have to give it a good review. If I have another chance to visit Kunming, I'll certainly choose this hotel again.

GGuest UserThe room facilities and services were excellent, with modern and well-equipped amenities. The self-service laundry and gym were also very clean. The front desk was very responsive during both check-in and check-out and helped with luggage. The bathroom and toilet were designed with a wet and dry separation. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, including both Chinese and Western dishes, and you could even try Yunnan rice noodles. The waiting area in the lobby had a fantastic view. On a clear day, if you go to Yuyuan Garden opposite the hotel at 6:30 PM, you can catch the sunset and the absolutely stunning circular building. The room had a huge floor-to-ceiling window offering views of the jacaranda trees. If I come to Kunming again, I will definitely stay here.

The front desk staff are warm and attentive, polite and friendly, and handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and quickly. They patiently answer any questions, providing particularly thoughtful service. All the facilities and equipment in the room are complete and well-maintained, easy and convenient to use, clean, and in perfect working order. My overall stay was very comfortable, offering excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.

We also received complimentary welcome fruit, and there's an airport shuttle service. Plus, there's a great local market nearby with lots of delicious food. I'll definitely book this place again next time I'm at Kunming Airport.

GGuest UserThe room was clean, tidy, and quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. The service attitude was impeccable – absolutely fantastic! They thoughtfully prepared cutlery and a high chair for our child, making it perfect for family travel. Every time we saw a staff member, they would smile and greet us, actively offering assistance. Upon checkout, they even gave us black tea as a souvenir and two roly-poly toys. It was a superb stay! (I forgot to take photos of the hotel, but it's super close to Jinma Fang, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. Highly recommend it!)

善善琳995 stars! wonderful stay at Hampton by Hilton Kunming. So good that we are already planning to return in a couple of weeks after our Yunnan road trip.
Overall, the service team was excellent—professional, warm, and consistently helpful. Everyone we interacted with was great; the few names mentioned below simply reflect the staff we had the most contact with.
A special thank you to Eric, who went above and beyond to assist us with receiving and organizing our items throughout our stay. He was attentive, professional, reliable, and a real pleasure to deal with. He took great care in helping us manage multiple deliveries, ensuring everything was properly received, safely stored, and ready for us whenever we needed it—even coordinating around our absence. His kindness, willingness to help, and attention to detail truly stood out.
Manager Isabella was also outstanding—proactive, efficient, and incredibly gentle. She coordinated our orders seamlessly and even arranged for staff to collect our parcels from the storage area, which made everything effortless for us.
There was also another lovely receptionist (I believe her name may be Audrey—apologies if that’s incorrect) who was friendly and professional throughout.
The housekeeping team deserves special mention as well. One of the housekeepers we saw daily was truly delightful—always smiling, kind, and very helpful. She added a warm, personal touch to our stay.
Communication was smooth and easy, which made everything very convenient.
Breakfast was of high quality, nutritious, and offered a good variety. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. Well it’s the Hampton! The Kashgar property was our first experience with the Hampton chain and is equally deserving of high praise)

So overall, a very enjoyable stay with excellent value. Highly recommended, and we look forward to returning soon.

GGuest UserHad an early flight the next morning, so I chose the Mercure at the airport and was very pleased. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, and cozy. I really liked the French romantic decor, and it was great value for money. My only suggestion would be for the shower pressure to be a bit stronger. Overall, a great impression of Kunming!

MM10627****The room was spacious, and the solid wood desk felt really high-quality. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which was very convenient for two people. They even have robots that can deliver takeout, which is pretty smart. Plus, there are charging stations right next to the hotel, which is great for electric car owners – no need to worry about finding a place to charge.

Hygiene: Also very clean.
Environment: Breakfast was very poor. It was served in the underground parking garage, which was a terrible setting. The breakfast items were also very limited and of low quality. However, there are many restaurants nearby, which is convenient, and the Dounan Flower Market is also very close.
Service: The front desk service was very thoughtful and meticulous.

GGuest UserThe owner upgraded me to a loft king room. The room was very rustic and had a unique Yunnan charm. Breakfast included rice noodles, soy milk, and various grains. The owner even came downstairs to pick me up. The location is about 790 meters from the old town, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. The conditioner was also really good!
